Quick service! Extensive menu! Can here for weekday lunch. Had mixed sizzler plate, Indo Chinese vegetable lunch box, paneer balti, garlic naan, hara bhara kebab. Food wasn't as salty as other places but next time I would wait for the lamb kebab and roasted eggplant curry.

Had dinner here with friends. Good decoration and ambiance. Food was ok Drinks: Jaljira vodka was good, Cardamom old fashioned was below average, Mango madness was ok. Pani Puri vodka was not impressive Appetizers: Gobi Manchurian was good. Vaghar Idli was disappointing Mains: vegetable sizzler was really good - different paneer types, roasted cauliflower, hara Bhara kabab etc. The paper dosa was good Veg Jaipuri and Tandoori roti were ok Good experience overall but not great Service was ok

3.5/5 We were seated quickly but the food took a long time to reach us. I loved the pan-tini ( non - alocoholic) it was not overly sweet, very fizzy refreshing drink with bits of pan leaf which was a delight when you bite into it. Mango chilli drink was awful though. Dahi puri was served quickly, it was very sweet for me. The 65 sizzler was flavourful, the chutney complimented the assortments of paneer, Gobi and veg pieces well. We had ordered garlic naan to eat with the sizzler but it was sent to us 15 min after we ate the starter. :/ Then we had to wait another 15 min munching on the cold bread while we waited for paneer balti and tandoori roti. The staff offered to take back the cold naan which was much appreciated. Paneer balti was very indulgent. It creamy and on the sweeter side. Garlic naan was delicious. I wish they served raw onion and lemon on the side though.. it would've elevated the experience for me. Will be returning to try the plethora of the options in the menu. Also, I'm very confused as the interior decoration screamed South Indian, but the menu is very mixed and focused on the sizzlers and indo Chinese , tandoor ..

A truly standout experience from start to finish. Khaati Peeti here in Fremont immediately draws you in with its authentic Indian design from the moment you enter: the framed carpets on the walls, the beautiful arches framing each seating area, and that warm, private, almost cocoon-like atmosphere. It feels thoughtfully crafted, not staged. Loved it! The food delivered just as impressively. Every dish was enjoyable, but the lamb chops were on another level - oversized compared to your standard entree, perfectly marinated, and richly layered with Indian spices. Garlic nunn and the amount of it were enough to feed the army. At the entrance, the push bar sets the tone with an elite selection of scotches and Indian whiskeys available for purchase, which adds a premium feel right from the start. Nice. The true highlight, though, was the hospitality. Snigdha deserves a major shout-out for outstanding service. Consistently positive, attentive, and genuinely warm. And respect to Shreedhar, the owner, who stays on the floor, checks on tables, brings out the food, and creates a sense of real connection with guests. That level of presence is rare and elevates the entire experience. A few drink notes for future guests: the cardamom old fashioned was excellent, the espresso martini was rich and delicious, and the new ultramarine blue candy drink, I think, should be served as a dessert cocktail, was fun and on the sweeter side. A place worth returning to, not just for the food, but for the atmosphere and the people who make it special.

Amazing Indian food, like no other in the Bay Area. We have been looking to have this kind of Indian food forever. And we finally found it. The ambience, the taste, the service. It just checked all the boxes. And they even have have what most Indian restaurants lack. A clean restroom. We had the paneer balti and the indi Chini sizzler because they were recommended. Needless to say, they hit the right notes. And we ordered papri chat just coz... and guess what we loved that the most.. definitely definitely will go there again. The whole restaurant was smelling of the chocolate brownie sizzler but we were too full to have it, so we left it for our next visit

Good food, good ambience but a bad service. I visited this restaurant just before it was renamed from Sankalp to Khaati Peeti. The sizzlers here are pretty good. We ordered the Assorted Vegetable Barbeque Sizzler and liked it. We ordered paneer balti, malai kofta as entrees along with a side of assorted breads. Food was tasty but the service was not good. We asked them to get water multiple times but they still didn't get it. It has a nice ambiance. It is well decorated. We met the owners. They were very nice and friendly.

Absolutely loved my visit to Khaati Peeti Restaurant & Bar (formerly Sankalp Fremont)! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented -- I tried the Neon Margarita, Mix Grill Sizzler, Kaju Curry with Cheese Garlic Naan, and Sizzling Brownie, and everything was incredible. The ambiance is chic yet cozy, perfect for date nights or family dinners. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the cocktails were some of the best I've had in Fremont.

The food could have been better. The service and ambiance is good. The menu is huge and exciting, so we ordered a sizzler, pani pur, a main course and a few naan. However, after eating my first bite, I was sure this isn't the place for me. The quality of ingredients isn't there and the food is heavy on the palette. As an example, the pani puris were soggy that even my kid refuse to eat them. None were holding water, the paneer was too tight and bland, the kebabs were too dense. The only saving grace was there naan's. I did ask the server for suggestions on their best recommendations for veg. So, if it isn't good in the end, it isn't because I chose wrong. I don't think I will be visiting them again. I wouldn't know if they are good for non-veg dishes or drinks.

We go here for the sizzlers since I haven't found any other place that servers good sizzlers in the usa. Liked the Manchurian sizzler but the paneer in that was average. Very chewy. Also had the chicken manchow soup. Not the best I have had but also not the worst. Loved the sizzling brownie. Best finisher to the meal. Ambiance is pretty great!

Loved the place ! Nice Indian restaurant vibe Instrumental music and privacy cubicles. Very good concept. We went around 9 pm , got seated quickly. Service was very good. Servers were very attentive. What we tried : Vegetarian assorted BBQ sizzler : This has marinated paneer, potato tikki and vegetables. Marinated cauliflower was my favourite, it is so tasty that it deserved independent dish title . Harábhara kabab was not up to the mark. Schezwan noodles: They are spicy noodles and they come with even spicier delicious sauce. Momos: Fried momos with vegetables stuffing. They are crunchy and Yummy!!! Overall I am happy with the vibe and will definitely come again !

Decided to drop in because our regular place is closed. I've never eaten at a "higher quality Indian restaurant" (as one of the previous reviews stated) before, so I didn't really know what to expect! The interior is intricately decorated, which gave us something to look at while we waited for our food. The space feels a little cramped when seating a table of two. The waitress was attentive & the food came out within 15 minutes. (However, it's worth noting that there were only two other parties aside from us). We ordered the samosa chaat, one garlic naan (which you can order plain or with butter), butter chicken (which came with a bowl of rice) and the veg dum biryani, which came out to $56 before tip! The samosa chaat came with chickpeas & was spicier than expected, but not as sweet as other places I've had (probably due to less tamarind chutney). The butter chicken was also not as sweet and a bit bland as well, not a huge tomato taste. The veg biryani was packed with lots of veggies & aromatics. The taste was a little sour and bitter for my taste and I didn't love constantly biting into the cloves and star anise. It was pretty flavorful though. All in all, not terrible, but not my favorite place either. I would give it a 3.5/5 stars!

Sankalp hails from India, and its Fremont location offers an elegant, refined atmosphere and a gigantic menu of both North and South Indian dishes. My favorite dish was the Three Barrel Dosa, a plate of not one, not two, but three rolled dosas, each with different fillings! The varieties included Mysore (spicy red chutney), Keerai (spinach paste), and Kara Mura (dusted with spicy milagai podi), all served with sambar, tomato chutney, and coconut chutney. My favorite of the three was the Kara Mura, as the milagai podi (spice powder) added a nice spicy flavor to the dosa. One of their most popular entrees was the Paneer Balti, which came with paneer cubes in two different curries served side-by-side in a metal balti container. One sauce was a creamy brown onion gravy, and the other was a creamy tomato gravy, both of which had a savory flavor and went nicely with a side of basmati rice and bullet roti (whole wheat flatbread topped with chopped green chilies), though I didn't quite get what was so special about this dish. Finally, the Mix Grill Sizzler was a sizzling iron plate of meats cooked in a tandoor oven, including chicken malai, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, and fish ajwaini, each of which was nicely marinaded and cooked to juicy, smoky perfection. Overall, the food here was decent but a bit overpriced, though the upscale atmosphere and friendly service were highlights.

That rarely happens. The place has a clean, modern vibe with bright lighting that felt welcoming and family-friendly. I decided to try the Deluxe Mazemen, and it was easily the best thing we had. The bowl came loaded with tender slices of pork chashu, spicy minced pork, a perfectly poached uncut egg, scallions, chives, and seaweed. The creamy broth at the bottom was boldly spicy and rich with a heavy, satisfying mouthfeel. The noodles were average thickness -- nothing crazy, but they worked. What really took it to another level was the sweet vinegar sauce the server suggested on the side. Halfway through, when the richness was starting to feel heavy, I added the sauce and it completely changed the flavor profile -- the bright acidity cut through the spice beautifully and made the rest of the bowl taste fresh and exciting. They even brought a small cup of rice so I could finish the sauce, which was a really thoughtful touch. This is a creative, elevated way of eating ramen that I hadn't tried before. I'd easily give the Deluxe Mazemen a solid 4 out of 5. The rest of the meal was much more standard. My wife ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and our older kid got the Miso Ramen. Both were decent and tasted like typical, solid ramen you can get at most places -- nothing wrong with them, but nothing particularly special or memorable either. We also shared the karaage (Japanese fried chicken). It was crispy and good, but not standout. Unfortunately, there was one issue that really stood out. About halfway through the meal, I noticed a single piece of rice floating in my drinking water cup. I had already been drinking from it and didn't see it until then. It was clearly leftover from a previous use of the cup. While I didn't say anything at the table, the thought that I could have gotten sick from it was pretty concerning. On the positive side, one of the servers (possibly the owner) gave our daughter a cute little Hello Kitty wooden toy. It was a small, kind gesture that showed they try to be family-friendly. Overall: 3 stars WADAYA has real potential, especially if you order the Deluxe Mazemen -- that dish alone makes it worth a visit. The thoughtful extras like the sauce and rice cup show they have good ideas. However, the average performance of the regular ramens combined with the rice in my drinking water cup brought the whole experience down. It's a basic hygiene issue that shouldn't happen and made me question the attention to detail. If we return, we'll all be ordering the mazemen next time. Hopefully they tighten up on the small things. Decent spot with one standout dish, but needs better consistency.
