All hail to the King of Tile in North County San Diego, Scott Hinrichs!…read more Scott is the role model for those who love to do business with family based, owner-operators instilling a more personal touch and experience to any tile project, large or small. In our case, he transformed the 1,000 square feet of drab-looking stamped concrete of our backyard patio, which has a panoply of views out past the preserve to San Elijo Hills, into an oasis of terracotta tile meticulously outlined with an intricate contrasting border of sparkling polished porcelain. He is from the "old school" of good old-fashioned hard work, where accountability, integrity, timeliness, dependability and technical proficiency all color the very rigors of his task to provide superior and friendly customer service. Scott is surely a perfectionist who views his work much like an artist with a canvas at his feet, ready to mold and shape into the vision of his customers' dreams. He greatly respects your property and treats it as his own. He isn't going to short-shrift you with workmanship that is either hurried or anything other than professional. Scott is quite ably assisted by his son, Zach, whose strong physicality is more akin to an NFL offensive lineman than anything else, and whose pleasant affability and demeanor for a younger man is exemplary in these days of wayward young souls! Scott also believes in starting a job and staying with it everyday until it is completed to his high standards. One of the most impressive qualities that we experienced was the level of his clean-up and presentation of the final product.......he believes in leaving the project site in "spic and span" condition, better than how he found it, but with the addition of the beautiful jewel he will leave you to last for years and years into the future. Too, in comparing 7 different quotes for our project, Scott was quite fair and reasonable, particularly when you account for his long experience in the North County and command of the art of tile setting. There is a reason that Scott Hinrichs has all 5-Star ratings on Yelp!...... and that is because he has EARNED them. My wife and I enjoyed working with Scott and Zach (Rulie, too!) and we give them our highest recommendation. One look at the gorgeous panoramic photograph we have attached below, taken by my wife, will surely convince you! Make sure to CLICK ON IT to fully open it to its full glory!

All the positive reviews John had plus the years he had in business was a big factor. They lived up to their positive reviews and then some. 3. It is quite obvious from the start that John and Jacob know their stuff. I started out with questions that were easily answered and solved. 4. Johns relationship to the tile provider is outstanding which makes it smooth and streamline making sure you have the right product and amount for the job. 5. Jacob did the install: he showed up everyday on time, protected my floors and surrounding areas, cleaned up before he left each day. Job only took 3 days to complete. 6. Jacob's installation of glass tiles around my curved glass vent cover was amazing. I kept wondering how he would do it and if he could. I was blown away see his finished work. 7. Both Jacob and John are professionals in every way which gave me great comfort to relax while they were in my home and doing business with.

Large-format tile requires exceptional skill and precision, and the installation team exceeded every expectation. The finished project looks flawless, with perfectly aligned tiles, minimal lippage, clean grout lines, and incredible attention to detail throughout. The quality of both the materials and workmanship was top-notch. Every aspect of the installation reflected pride in craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence. The team took the time to properly prepare the surfaces, carefully plan the layout, and ensure that every cut and transition looked seamless and professional. I have a pretty good knowledge of DIY projects. I have installed tile and I have hired contractors to install tile before. The building is fairly old and I know the floors were not level. I am shocked that given the space they were tasked to work with, how they were able to achieve a final product with 1/16" grout lines and perfectly even tiles. I observed they used multiple very long levels and a tile leveling system (not just eye-balling it) and they take the time to make sure it is perfect. Communication was excellent from day one. They were responsive, transparent, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. Scheduling was handled efficiently, and the crew arrived on time every day, ready to work. The project was completed exactly as promised, with no surprises and no delays. I was not able to be there for the installation but you can 100% trust this company to do the job right, even if you can't be there. He sent me pictures of each step of the way so I could feel confident that they were doing what they were supposed to be doing (as I had not worked with them before). I saw each step each evening to see in person the quality of their work and it is exceptional. What impressed us most was their attention to detail and dedication to getting everything right. They treated our home with respect, maintained a clean work area, and took the extra steps necessary to ensure a perfect result. It is rare to find a company that combines technical expertise, outstanding customer service, and such a high level of professionalism. Mr. Lopez made some excellent recommendations relating to design (functional-using a decoupling membrane since it is a 2nd story condo as well as a esthetic recommendations). Many contractors are unable to blend design with esthetics, but Mr. Lopez excells at this. He was able to offer better options when my plan had items that could be done better. He even came back to the site on Saturday after the job was complete to help me put the stackable washer/ dryer back (not part of his job, but he went above and beyond simply to help me). The finished porcelain tile installation has completely transformed our space and far exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for superior quality, expert installation, reliable communication, and an exceptional customer experience. Five stars in every category!

My HOA was very strict on any type of flooring a homeowner was thinking of doing due to the sound-proofing required that would minimize noise to the lower units. Lopez Flooring & Titeworks studied the requirements of my HOA and was able to locate the rubberized SPECIFIC brand of underlay that would eliminate any walking-noise for the unit below mine. The owner personally visited my unit, gave me options and samples of different flooring that I might like (that was warranted with the specific underlay brand). The cost was very reasonable and fit my budget. Lopez Flooring & Tileworks helped me fill out all paperwork for the HOA architectural committee which included insurance, scope of work, timeframe and disposal plans of my existing flooring. Once I decided on the style that I liked (and the HOA approved my application), Lopez Flooring & Tileworks crew started demo immediately.
