We stopped by to try this while in Vancouver and we were pleasantly surprised with the light flaky warm and not too sweet nature of the OG bread. We coupled the bread with a karak chai which you can address sweetness for. The staff was also pleasant and advised us of a special for the two together for a lower price.

Tiramisù, missing the intense espresso aroma, but quite decent I have to say.

Drove by Vancouver on our way back from Whistler and decided to have lunch at Saku. After lunch we were in the mood for some small dessert, so I checked Yelp and found Papparoti right next to Saku! We only got one tiramisù to share among us three, we were too stuffed from lunch to get anything more than that, even if the offerings were quite inviting. The tiramisu was more than decent, considering the average North American tiramisù quality. If I had to be picky I'd say that it was missing the intense aroma of espresso that you would find in any tiramisù you get in Italy. Very good though!

karak milk tea + OG bun
Jennifer W.

Came by to try the OG bun and karak milk tea and enjoyed both! Staff was very friendly and heated up the bun quickly. There were quite a few people hanging out inside mid-morning, and there was plenty of seating throughout -- tables, couches, bar counter, etc. The bun has a nice crispy sweet exterior, but the inside is soft and moist with a bit of butter, so salty sweet if that's your thing. They also have stuffed buns with more fun dessert-like flavors and add ons (there's a whole menu for these). The karak milk tea was great as well, I ordered mine hot, but I imagine it would be a lovely iced dessert drink too. Seems like a busy spot! Would come back to get another bun and karak milk tea, maybe even grab some togo next time!

Pistachio Lover Roti Bun

Stopped by for a snack while walking around Robson and was pleasantly surprised that they had so many variations of roti buns (options included Kaya, Maple, or had accompaniments like ice cream - inside the bun like a sandwich or on top, bananas, or strawberries). We chose the Pistachio Lover which had a chocolate drizzle, slices of orange, and a generous helping of pistachios. The bun was wonderfully buttery with a delicate sweetness and the toppings complimented it nicely. Will be back to try another variant next time and probably buy a bunch to take home too!

Signature Coffee Bun

We got the signature coffee bun and a regular Americano. It was not bad - not too sweet which is my preference. Nice coffee taste as well for the bun!

I have been a customer for over 4 years and I was never disappointed by nothing but today I ordered 2 to-go coffees and got a very bad surprise when arriving home. How this is possible?? I live 2 blocks away from Papparoti theres no way that coffee was seated for more than 5 minutes. please train your staff better to have a consistecy and quality standards as baristas.

Berry mascarpone dream & original bun

Was craving dessert & my man never tried a roti bun, so this was the perfect time to get one. On the corner of a street, there's a little cafe which holds all the buns! Since it was our first time, I asked for recommendations. The worker was super helpful. Ordered togo & what's excited to eat it at our hotel. I never had a bun creation so this was new. Honestly it was so good & not too sweet. My man devoured both buns. It was delicious and had a perfect crisp.

$5 special: coffee and coffee bun!

You like coffee? You like soft buns? Then if you combine the two together you get a coffee bun! A deliciously soft bun with a pad of butter stuffed inside and a coffee crust over top! A perfect snack or a tea time bite between meals. They even have a Happy Hour special: 3-6 Monday to Friday - drop by and get their Karak tea or their coffee bun for $3 each. Not sure if the happy hour is still a thing or not. But I ended up going for their $5 - coffee and a bun. This could have been an end of summer special so please don't get upset if they don't have it. Its great if you're walking to English Bay or just taking a break from walking on Robson Street.

Coffee bun with two different tea orders

First off, come here for the coffee bun. Second, it's an amazing little cute cafe. The coffee bun is simply amazing. It's very light and soft, holds its shape amazingly, yet it isn't too sweet. I got the strawberry fields coffee bun. The plating of it is amazing, half whip cream, half fresh strawberries around the coffee bun which is the center of this master piece. Finished off with pinches of sugar and a drizzle of chocolate. Very nice subtle flavors to it, nothing too strong or overpowering. Also a very cute tea set when you order tea. Comes with glasses, pot of hot water w/ your tea and 3 sets of timers to help you indicate and time how strong you would like your coffee. Overall, a great cafe, good location, amazing coffee buns, tea and more :)

OG Bun and Hot Chocolate
Alyzon L.

Got the OG Bun and Hot Chocolate (with Soy Milk). OG coffee bun taste so good I havent had one for so long and this reminds me how much I missed it. Perfectly topped with Caramel Coffee Cream which gives the bun a crispy texture and the very soft and light inside. The hot chocolate tasted good with the soy milk and you can't really taste the soy milk because of the strong chocolate flavour. Don't really study much in Downtown cause it's mostly for shops and sightseeing but because I have an event later at night I decided to find a spot to study. Perfect for a study session in Downtown! Big spaces, perfect volume for music and available outlets in some areas!

Maple bun

Middle afternoon treat! Nice coffee ambience. Some people working w laptops and some others socializing. Friendly service. Fresh coffee and the buns! My favorite was cream cheese and strawberry jam bun. Cream cheese was almost like mascarpone: great texture and nice combination for the strawberry jam. I shared the bun w another person and it was plenty. We also tried the maple one and the strawberry one. Americano coffee and capuchino were made right and delivered on time w the buns. Great place for a middle afternoon snack.

Kaya bun (top) and strawberries+ cream bun (bottom)

Love this place so much. Great place to meet up with friends, chill and study, and of course eat their delicious coffee buns (kaya and maple are incredible). The buns themselves are crisp, light, and airy, and have such a rich but not overpowering buttery flavour to them. Worth every penny! I come here whenever I go back to Vancouver. If you go late at night, they sometimes just give out "failed" buns, which are really just perfect puns that are a bit flatter than the batches they sell (albeit this was a couple years ago).

That a cute cafe! I was just walking around downtown Vancouver when I found that this place is one where others enjoy. I thought "Let's go check it out!" Best impromptu decision ever. I didn't realize how tasty bread + whipped cream + strawberries could be until I came here. The playing and presentation of the food was so pretty that I almost felt bad messing it up and eating it! I'm not a big coffee lover, but I did enjoy this latte. The cute art on the top was like the icing on the cake! Absolute joy to be in this cafe and decompress/work on my laptop. Excited to come back once it is safe to do so!

Gosh it absolutely did not disappoint & I should have ordered another one! The taste of this sandwich was so delicious, I couldn't chew it fast enough. The cabbage, tartar sauce & fish-katsu sauce are delightful together. This food truck is located right at Canada Line subway station - Vancouver Centre Station - main entrance on Georgia at Granville. You'll notice it when you come up the escalator & turn right onto the Granville Mall. Basically it's right near Nordstrom. I don't know if I'll bother with the other sandwich options cause I just love the Fish-Katsu that much. It's a very small simple sandwich. Nothing really fancy to it at all, but the taste utterly rocks. So glad I tried it & I can't wait to go back!

I got the gyu-katsu sandwich. I found the sandwich a bit small and for the price, it was pretty expensive. $16 after tax. Don't get me wrong. It was tasty. I found it nothing wow. The beef was cut in a certain way that it remained as one piece to make it easier to season. The gyu katsu is their more popular sandwich. However, it doesn't come with any lettuce or anything other than the beef and sauce. The bread was nothing special. It was basically thin regular bread. It does take them about 10 mins to make the sandwich. In terms of the way they serve it, it was presented to me nicely and the box was made to perfectly fit the sando inside. Not a bad sandwich but it was just pretty pricy.
