The offer turned out to be 50% off a very limited menu (three items) and only between 11 AM and 1 PM. Our group arrived at 11:30 AM, but due to the wait for seating we weren't seated until after 1 PM. At that point we were told the promotion no longer applied, even though we had arrived within the advertised timeframe. After a long morning of games, the players and families were tired and just hoping for an easy lunch. Because the delay was on the restaurant side, it felt frustrating that the promotion wasn't honored. The food was average, and the overall experience was defined more by the long wait and confusion around the "comped lunch" than the meal itself. Several families in our group left feeling the promotion should have been explained more clearly. Lake Placid gets many youth hockey teams visiting for tournaments, so clear communication about promotions at The Pickled Pig would make the experience much better for traveling families.
