The New Mexican restaurant in Saranac Lake is amazing. The food is delicious, the margarita is tasty, and the staff are friendly and cheerful and helpful.

Margarita was very good. Food was excellent. Ambience is lacking because of location and space is small. Staff very accommodating.

But, thanks to Yelp, the business website listing their ingredients clearly, and the very helpful staff, I determined that Paloma would be a good spot to grab some food. The shop is surrounded by local touristy shops, plus the information center is across the street. The interior space is large enough to accommodate a few dozen customers, with some window seats that look out onto the main road, with beautiful views of the mountains. The first visit for me, I enjoyed one chicken and one beef taco served on homemade tortillas. The flavors for both of these proteins is absolutely some of the best I've ever had in any state. Who would've thought that I'd be eating some of the best tacos in upstate NY? Hibiscus tea is also refreshing, mild sweetness and a must try if you pop in here. Oh, did I mention that the food was ready within a few minutes? It disappears just as fast as they put it on the plate. My second visit I tried the tostada with the beef, and it was just as good as the taco, but if you prefer a crunch, the tostada was delicious and held up well. Day 3 in a row - yeah, it's that good - I had to stay with the tacos again. The fam enjoyed other items from the menu such as their burrito bowl, burrito, guac and quesadilla. Everyone left here super happy. Rarely does a place get me to come back 3 days in a row, but Taqueria Paloma deserves it. If I lived in or near Lake George, I would probably just invest in this place because they're not only putting out a great product, it's clean, beautiful and the staff are on point. 10 stars if I could.

They were absolutely to die for, the meat was juicy and tender and the toppings are on point. When I think of a taco, I think of these. The restaurant was so clean, minimal, and service was not slow with how busy they were! (And to be quite frank, if there was a longer wait, I'd be willing to sit and be patient because these were absolutely delicious!) If you're looking for a Taco Bell type soft taco, you might want to sit this one out. These tacos are true street tacos like you'd have in California or down south where taco trucks are rampant. This was one of my favorite cozy spots we visited in Lake George & we will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious food and for being such a beautiful, vibrant restaurant!

We were in town for vacation and decided to stop by here after loving it last year. Unfortunately…read morethis place missed the mark for us this year. It started when we checked in. I had called the day before to get a reservation & was confirmed that they were busy but that they could seat us at 7 pm, which was perfect. We showed up at 6:50 & told the hostess we had a reservation to which she said she couldn't find us. When I told her we were confirmed to sit on the patio she again said she couldn't find us. I told her I didn't know what happened but we should have one, so she said, "Just a minute", walked to the back, then all of a sudden we were led outside to the patio at a table for 5. Strange. Our waitress didn't come over for about 5-10 minutes after that. When she came over, she took our order & then left. About 10 minutes later a new server came out & delivered drinks, spilling the beer at our table. This is fine, but he said, "Oh I'm new" & didn't clean it up. We then waited about 45 minutes for our food to come out. About 30 minutes in we asked the new server where the food was & he said, "I'll check but I'm new", then proceeded to not come back to our table. The food finally came out, but as this point our waters were empty. We never got refills until after we got our check when I asked for more water & then a pitcher was brought out & left at our table. Food was marginal. The chips & salsa you get with your entree only comes with like 6 chips, & overall food was just okay. Half our party liked it, half didn't. I understand if places are short staffed, but warning/notice/service letting customers know about it would be nice. Also I feel like refilling water is a bare minimum expectation at any restaurant. Giving three stars because I do think they have a good menu that feeds many types of eaters, & we had a good experience last year so this could have been a one off situation. Verdict's out on if we'd try this place next year when we come back.

The staff is very friendly but since the restaurant isn't huge, I would come early, especially if you have a large group, and put your name down since they get verrryyy busy on weekends/peak times. Their back patio is beautiful, they have umbrellas at tables too to block the shade, so if it is nice outside, I would try to sit here.

But it's hard to imagine anyone having a better experience than we had at Cantina 32. This five-star experience starts off with the staff. The hostess that greeted us and our server (Kimberley) were about as engaging, friendly, helpful, and charming as anyone we've dealt with. They were so nice that after our dinner we had a long conversation with both in front of the restaurant at the hostess stand. After we made our U-Turn to get back to our hotel, they both waved goodbye as we passed their stand. We chose an outdoor table because the weather was so nice. My wife ordered the Cantina Chicken Quesadilla ($17) that was served with tortilla chips and cantina sauce, sort of a mild chipotle crema. She passed on the otherwise included rice. The dish was four big slices that were generously stuffed with chicken, onions, peppers and cheese. I went with a Cantina Salad with Chicken ($15.45). It was a colorful beauty of a dish with a shredded lettuce base topped with corn, onions, olives, green peppers, tomatoes, and chicken cubes. It was served with the same Cantina sauce. The food was great, we both loved our dishes. We also noticed a bit of a regional difference between the Lake George version of the quesadillas and the version we're used to. At home they are traditionally served with sour cream and salsa, but not here. I asked for salsa for my salad, and what came out wasexcellent -- clearly homemade and full of flavor. Our meal ran under $35 before tip, and that included some leftovers on the quesadilla. If you're ever vacationing in Lake George, trust me... you will LOVE Cantina 32.
