The shop is surrounded by local touristy shops, plus the information center is across the street. The interior space is large enough to accommodate a few dozen customers, with some window seats that look out onto the main road, with beautiful views of the mountains. The first visit for me, I enjoyed one chicken and one beef taco served on homemade tortillas. The flavors for both of these proteins is absolutely some of the best I've ever had in any state. Who would've thought that I'd be eating some of the best tacos in upstate NY? Hibiscus tea is also refreshing, mild sweetness and a must try if you pop in here. Oh, did I mention that the food was ready within a few minutes? It disappears just as fast as they put it on the plate. My second visit I tried the tostada with the beef, and it was just as good as the taco, but if you prefer a crunch, the tostada was delicious and held up well. Day 3 in a row - yeah, it's that good - I had to stay with the tacos again. The fam enjoyed other items from the menu such as their burrito bowl, burrito, guac and quesadilla. About 30 minutes in we asked the new server where the food was & he said, "I'll check but I'm new", then proceeded to not come back to our table. The food finally came out, but as this point our waters were empty. We never got refills until after we got our check when I asked for more water & then a pitcher was brought out & left at our table. Food was marginal. The chips & salsa you get with your entree only comes with like 6 chips, & overall food was just okay. Half our party liked it, half didn't. The food was great, we both loved our dishes. We also noticed a bit of a regional difference between the Lake George version of the quesadillas and the version we're used to.
