The ceviche was over spiced with a biting pepper and 100% just white fish and onions. The paella was okay but def nothing special. No crust from baking in a metal pan and almost no calamari. Home cooked Peruvian food and it was an interesting first time experience. The interior is a casual sports bar with a pool table at the entrance. It's located right across from the Olympic museum. For parking, you can find street parking or at the parking lot diagonally across. The staff is welcoming and attentive. We tried their 3 recommendation, ceviche, lamb stew with rice and beans, and Lomo Saltado (stir fried beef). The ceviche was fresh and great pairing with the plantain chips. What a unique place. Sports bar meets Peru. Our waiter, Christian was fantastic and welcoming. Gave us a great description of the various Peruvian dishes. The menu had a combo of sports bar food and Peruvian. We had some plantains that were great and I had a rice dish with shrimp and chicken. It was very good. Enjoyed every bite. Really cool place! We stopped after a day of Olympic sightseeing. Our server was super attentive and kind and even brought us over a ring toss game to play at the table. The menu was a great blend of American, Mexican, and a whole page of Peruvian dishes. I truly wish I was hungrier to try one of them! Everything we had was great. The chicken quesadilla was filling and fancied up with peppers and onions. In a place like this you gotta make sure to get the dish they specialize in and not something like a burger. Not sure how the food actually is. Closed a full 2 hrs early compared to their posted hours. In a tourist town that's definitely frustrating when there are already limited places to eat. Even if you're too lazy to update your Google listing at least update the voicemail on your phone or have the courtesy to post a sign on the door explaining youre closed early instead of being locked up tight at 7 pm when your hours state you're open til 9 pm. read more

Walked in on a Friday afternoon around 2. The place was near empty. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and were told we could sit anywhere. We sat pretty much in the middle of the inside dining area. The waiter came and got our drink order and food order. Then, we waited, and waited, and waited. We had ordered 3 burgers and a salad with chicken. We finally got our order almost 40 minutes later, and it was completely underwhelming. The chicken on the salad was wafer thin, could have called it a chicken chip. The burgers were not flavorful at all and were obviously made from frozen patties. None of the items were worth what they were charging, in my opinion and certainly shouldn't have then 40 minutes to cook! The place itself had a small bar area and the dining room had license plates and team banners on the walls, I guess that's what classifies it as a sports bar? Final words...steer clear! read more

Went here with my family. The place left a lot to be desired. It has a strange smell as soon as you walk in. They advertise as a sports bar but they have formal dining seats and a sink in the middle of the restaurant. I ordered a plain cheese quesadilla and my husband ordered a panini. My kids got a burger and pizza. My son ordered his burger medium and he got it rare. (He didn't say anything so that is on my son.) when the bill came I was charged for a chicken quesadilla which I didn't order. The waiter kept arguing with me that it was the same price. My husband's menu clearly stated that his panini was 18.00, and he was charged 20.00. We brought it to his attention and he kept arguing that it was 20.00. He brings a menu over where the 18.00 was crossed out and 20.00 was written after we pointed out that my husband's menu wasn't crossed out. He kept arguing with us, he even told us not to leave him a tip if we were that upset. Not worth a fight for a few bucks. I left a 10% because I just can't not leave a tip. We paid almost 82.00 (before tip) for some of the worst food. We now know why the restaurant was nearly empty for a weekend right before Christmas. Eat somewhere else read more

Wow!!! This place was pretty awesome and the setting was very nice. The beef empanadas is definitely recommended. The owner/bartender was also very nice and attentive. Stopped in whilst walking about in Lake Placid. Sat at the bar for happy hour. We only had the empanadas which were fantastic! We asked for hot sauce and when the first wasn't hot enough, they had a hotter version in the back. All were yummy (if you like heat from the sauce). Server at the bar very nice and helpful. Horrible business. At 6pm my wife called to order pizza and wings since this restaurant is walking distance to our hotel. On the phone the person ordering said they are out of chicken wings. Then my wife asked to order a pizza and the guy said sorry we are too busy to take orders and hung up on us. Will never deal with this place ever again. read more

Reading the reviews, one could assume that this is a high quality Peruvian Steakhouse - it's walls adorned with frescos of South American culture ... it is not this. It is a sports bar, and a mediocre one at that. We sat on the patio in complete silence. No music was fed through the outside speakers. Our waiter, a really nice young man, had to continuously walk around the front of the restaurant to go inside because the patio door was missing a handle, making reentry impossible. We waited an hour for microwaved nachos (which were missing several listed ingredients) and a pressed sandwich. This place was kind of a bummer, especially when you factor in the inflated menu costs. At least we got to stare at the Olympic Museum (which was also disappointing). read more

I'm not sure how we missed the fact that this restaurant has Peruvian food, no sign of this on the menu and the llamas I see in other reviewer's pictures have been replaced with tv's. Something must have changed over the last few months. All we saw were TVs on the walls and burgers on the menu. How seafood is the first thing on the cover of their menu is very confusing, not a seafood dish to be had. If you get a $3 soda, don't fall for the offer of a refill, it will cost you another $3. Burgers and fries were not bad, but ultimately we came away confused. We were the only ones eating there at 6:30 on a Friday night. Not a good omen. Waiter was friendly and we felt welcomed, that was worth a few stars. read more

This restaurant is delicious! My husband and I loved it. I got the paella and my husband got the porterhouse steak. Both were cooked to perfection! The seafood was so fresh in my paella, and my husbands steak was thick and juicy. We tried an appetizer that consisted of French bread, sweet potato and pork belly with red onion and cilantro on top. I forget the name, but GET IT! You won't be disappointed. Our server, Chris, was very attentive and polite and extremely accommodating when the weather got chilly and we asked if we could move inside from their cute little patio. Everything was beyond expectations here. We had been hiking all day and googled for a good steak house. This Peruvian Steakhouse was conveniently located, open after COVID-19, plenty of parking, and menu looked good and reasonable. We were hungry so we started with the poutine and I venture to say it was the very best any of us have ever had! The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned beef chunks that melted in your mouth, atop fries that were crisp on the outside and soft within, just enough gravy to let the flavors through, and cheese curds melted flat on a large platter. Suffice to say there was little left by us three. Then came the main courses. One opted for Prime Rib which came with your choice two sides in this case grilled pineapple and mashed potatoes. Second order was sirloin with grilled plantains, white rice, and fries, all of which was evenly seasoned tender and good, third dish was Mary's Paella, which is a rare find and certainly nowhere else in the area. Tender saffron rice with calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp grilled and seasoned to perfection. We finished full and with leftovers. Total for 3 with drinks was $120. Good value! The service was absolutely 5 star and meals arrived quickly. We sat outside on one of the last warm days of the season. read more
