Stopped in again, it's been two years and the food is still delicious! Waitstaff are friendly, and easily explained all the food I can eat as a GF person (gf pasta, and all of the seafood dishes!). I enjoyed sitting in the window seat, soaking up the sun with music in the background.

Blown away by the food, service, and ambiance, the trifectas. Luna was suggested by a local we were visiting in Lake Placid, and it did not disappoint. Someone in our party had a food allergy and the service we very kind to accommodate and make suggestions. We went with an artichoke and shrimp salad and the NY strip steak which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The lights are low in this restaurant, which gave us a cozy atmosphere to unwind from the long day, a welcomed change. We were glad to have had Luna recommend to us, so we can recommend to others. Such a wonderful time here.

Service was a 4/5 while food was a 2/5. The staff were pretty nice, which was the only positive about our visit. We came here because Smoke Signals had too long of a wait, and someone in our party was getting hangry. The Caesar salad was the grossest thing. It was full of wilted looking leaves, soggy croutons, and drenched in all too much dressing. The spaghetti and meatballs was below average. It basically tasted like something a college student would make. Insanely overpriced for what this food was. It's more expensive than Boston North End with food worse than cafeteria grub. Do yourself a favor and go to Smoke Signals next door. You will immediately notice how Smoke Signals is packed and Luna isn't. It's worth the wait.

Stopped in for lunch. Very pleasant interior. I loved the bar as it looked old, or reclaimed from somewhere. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak which I enjoyed. I've never eaten one in Philly so I have no comparison, but nevertheless less the sandwich and fries were great. Service was quite good, and we were happy to be seated immediately. I'd re-visit.

I have a bit of a story about Generations. Seven years ago,…read moremy family stopped in while visiting Lake Placid and, unfortunately, it was a pretty rough experience. After waiting over an hour for our food with no updates in sight, we finally left hungry and declared we'd never return. (We've all made dramatic vacation proclamations before!) When we got home, I wrote to the restaurant, and Natasha, the manager, personally responded with a sincere apology. She explained they had been incredibly short-staffed and invited us to come back if we were ever in Lake Placid again, promising a better experience. Well, seven years later, my sons found themselves in Lake Placid with friends and decided to give Generations another chance. They asked if Natasha was still there, and amazingly, she was! Not only that, but she remembered my email from all those years ago. This time, everything was wonderful. Great food, attentive service, a relaxing outdoor table, and happy young men!--which is review enough! To top it all off, when they asked for the check, they were told the meal was on the house. Natasha's kindness, grace, and commitment to making things right left a lasting impression. Thank you for turning a not-so-great memory into a great one. Cheers to Natasha and the team at Generations!

Serval more opened within those 25 minutes and sat empty. . My daughter had the chicken sandwhich she said it was good. Mojito mocktail & my ST Germain spritz were very good. I ordered the lobster tacos, I was asked fries or chips I said fries no salt he said they come into the restaurant seasoned. I said chips then he said they also seasoned I can substitute salad. Was surprised when the salad came out and it was in its own dish not on the side of the plate. There was a charge of $3 dollars for the salad on the bill I questioned the server and he said there is a fee for substitutions it is stated in the menu. My menu was closed when I placed the order. I didn't ask he told me he can substitute. When he told me he can substitute he should have mentioned that there was a fee.

We spent the week in Lake Placid for Spring Break, and we could not have been more happy to find this place, especially since we had our dog with us. Lisa G's feels like the kind of place you wish you had back home. We sat out on the porch with a perfect view of the water and our golden retriever happily at our feet. That alone would have been enough, but the food made sure we stayed awhile. We started with the wings. These are true buffalo wings. Not breaded, just well sauced and done right. We also ordered the cheese treat and it completely stole the show. Feta, spices, and jalapenos over fresh arugula, scooped onto toasted bread. It is one of those dishes where you keep saying just one more bite until suddenly it is gone. For dinner we tried the shrimp tacos, which have quite a reputation. As Texas people we were a little unsure about the pineapple salsa, but it works. Bright and just sweet enough. The slaw is mellow and tangy and ties everything together in a way that feels thoughtful rather than trendy. The fish and fries surprised us the most. Easily the best fish and chips we have had in years. Real haddock with a light crisp fry and a rich house made tartar sauce that does not play second fiddle. Chance said he usually only likes fish and chips for the fried part, but here he actually liked the fish itself. That tells you everything. The fries are the kind you keep reaching for long after you are full. Our teen ordered the burger and it disappeared before we could negotiate a bite. Former picky eaters do not lie. We tried the Julian cocktail, which drinks like a confident mai tai. The riesling missed the mark a bit. Next time we would go for the sauvignon blanc or the house white. The service felt like the best version of small town hospitality. Warm, easy, and full of good local recommendations. Our pup loved it. We loved it. We will be back. --Chance and Becky All Ahead Slow

We have tried places in town over the years and most have been fine, but the food has tended to be relatively straightforward and/or uninspired. Before Sentinel & Station, this space was a concept called Liquids and Solids, which was trying to be a bit more upscale and refined but ultimately fell into the uninspired camp. When I heard about Sentinel & Station's recent opening, I knew I wanted to at least try it out. After our meal here, we left impressed, content, sated, and eager to return to try all that we didn't get to on our first visit. The vibe was cozy and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was creative, of impressive quality, and very well executed. We came here as a party of eight on a Saturday night at 8:30pm. We were immediately welcomed and tended to with generosity and humor which set the tone for the entire night. The cocktail menu here is pretty dizzying, as its presented such that all of the ingredients of each drink are listened to the point that the anticipated flavor profile can be lost when you're looking it over. I ended up just getting the house martini with gin, which is served with both lemon and olives, but I tried many of the others just to get a sense, including the: Smoked Boulevardier (bourbon, bitter, bonal, carpano antica, yuzu bitters, spritz of lagavulin), Balsamic Fizz (vodka, pineapple, strawberry-balsamic puree, soda), and The Dopest Dope I've Ever Smoked (mezcal, pamplemousse liqueur, pineapple-basil juice, suze, cocchi americano). Of the three, I preferred the Smoked Boulevardier, the Balsamic Fizz was a little bit too watered down but with less ice the flavor profile would have been excellent, and the Dopest Dopest I've Ever Smoked, despite seeming like the most exciting of the bunch, was actually the least interesting. I was happy to have gone the classic route, and I got the Sivi pinot orange wine second, which was excellent (I realized afterwards that my wine person at home has actually picked this wine out for me before so I have apparently liked it for a long time). Food-wise, the menu is quite diverse and playful, and while it also lists a good many ingredients in each dish, it does not have the same effect as it does on the drink menu reading experience, and in general the food was consistently outperforming the cocktails. We were bummed that they were out of the mussels (which we originally ordered) because they looked fantastic and were highly recommended, but that just means we'll need to return in the future. Many of us split a bunch of dishes so I'll just speak to those I tried. There was not one wrong note all night so grading each dish is pretty pointless, but I might as well do what I can in an attempt to underscore the consistently great food and highlight the favorites. Eats, below: Heirloom Carrots w/ greek yogurt, pistachio, gochujang honey: A+ So good we got a second order when we realized we might need to beef up our second course. Incredibly flavorful with a subtle kick. Grilled Maitake w/ smoky blanco crema, spicy macha crisp, trout roe: A Would have happily gotten a second order of these too because the portion was small, but once again, packed with flavor. Grilled maitake is definitely one of my favorite mushroom preparations and this dish is a great example of why I maintain this. And the trout roe was just divine. Caesar Salad: A Also threw this in last minute and it was exactly what you'd hope for. Classic, perfectly executed, and a nice complement to some of the richer entrees. Tuna Nachos w/ crudo, seaweed salad, tomato, jalapeño, sesame crisps: A+ Potentially my favorite dish of the night. It looks like a lot when served to you but if you're splitting it four ways as we did, it's not much for each person which may be sad if you love it as much as I did. Rainbow Trout w/ pea puree, tarragon velouté, heirloom carrots, balsamic: A Warming, delicious, earthy, rich -- all great things. More heirloom carrots here but not complaining, they were a nice complement to the dish. The pea puree was fun and the combo of that plus the velouté was particularly delicious. Short Rib w/ pickled radish, whipped parsnip, red wine jus, jalapeño-lime jicama slaw: A+ I somehow did not get a picture of this one! I rarely eat red meat, mainly because I don't like it much, but short rib is one of the few exceptions to that. Melt in your mouth, tender goodness.
