We originally came to Papi's Tacos & More because we saw the soft-serve frozen margaritas on TikTok, and let me just say... they were absolutely to die for. They somehow managed to be creamy, refreshing, and dangerously easy to drink. What really made the visit special, though, was Daniel. From the moment we walked in, he complimented my girlfriend's and my outfits and kept telling us we had the perfect aesthetic. He was so warm, kind, and attentive that it genuinely felt like we were visiting family who had just opened their own taco shop. Since the soft-serve margaritas were being freshly batched, Daniel surprised us with complimentary dressed drinks--a Jamaica cucumber drink and a frozen margarita--so we wouldn't have to wait empty-handed. That level of hospitality is something you don't come across often. We also tried the Hot Cheetos birria balls and the carnitas tacos, and both were delicious. Between the incredible food, the unforgettable frozen margaritas, and Daniel's hospitality, this easily became one of our favorite taco spots. We'll definitely be back. read more

I came here on Wednesday (7/29) with my mom. I heard a lot about this place so decided to try it out. We got a taco box combo and a quesabirria combo and two aguas frescas. The place gave off hipster taco shop which I thought was cool and the place was clean. Ok let's start off with what I liked. Food wasn't too bad and pricing was reasonable. Now what I DID NOT LIKE. Was the fact that my mom and I both ordered aguas frescas. Not a big deal. The ISSUE was after I got my receipt. They never told me I would be charged for NO ICE in my agua fresca. It wasn't even like .50 cents. It was $1.50!!! And my mom got charged .50 cents for light ice. Like I get it, it wouldn't off been an issue if they TOLD me it would be an extra charge. When I asked about it. The person at the register just looked at me like I was crazy and they just said "oh well it's the owners policy". Ok, well if it's policy why isn't it written on the board or even letting customers know ahead of time? If that was the case I would have just gotten a fountain drink. I probably wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't looked at my receipt. I understand for some it's not a big deal. But I would liked to be the one to decide if I want the drink and be charged an extra amount for ICE. Overall, that whole situation ruined my experience. Papi's tacos was everything I expected it to be...AMAZING! I originally found Papi's tacos on social media. They went viral for all the right reasons, good lookin' food! It wasn't until a family member mentioned that they had opened a location near that I finally made it apparent to stop in! And I am so thankful I did! First, the places is truly designed perfectly for their branding! It's so cute! And while they have limited seating inside and outside, I have been multiple times now and it hasn't been hard to find a place to enjoy my food. Now, because I have been multiple times, I've gotten to try a few things! The first time we went I got their Birria Ramen, 2 tacos, and Hot Cheeto Birra Balls! My sister got their birra taco place. Their Birria ramen is a 10/10! It might be the some of the best birra ramen I have had to far in DFW! Their birra was great as well in tacos as I got to try some of my sisters! Now, the Hot Cheeto Balls, that was def a cheat meal! They were STUFFED with rice, birria, and cheese. It's served with a side on consome and cheese to dip! And they were so freaking good! Def worth a try! Since that first visit, I have also gone back to try their carne asada fries and nachos, both were hits! And some of their reg tacos, which were also great! The horchata however was absolutely delicious and quite honestly one of the bests. The service was friendly. This place seems to be popular and brings in a young late night crowd. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and there service was speedy! Lots of different food options including beef taquitos/flautas! Food was really yummy and one of their green salsas packed a major punch!! Service was good, the young guy at the counter seem very helpful and friendly. He was able to suggest a few things and I like to see that they eat where they work. Ambiance is not so loud and it does play music that is Latin inspired. Food was so good, in the last three years we have been out of California we are so happy we found a place that reminds us of California style Mexican food. I ordered the pizza birria, which was delicious. Well put together in the box and also very satisfying to dip in the tasty consomé. I ordered the adobo and chorizo taco which both were well prepared with cilantro and onions. Let's talk about the burritos, I ordered the Papis Burrito which was just so delicious and worth every bite and penny. They prepared it well and presented it well. Lastly I also ordered the traditional quesabirria (on corn tortillas) which were very good. I would highly recommend this place if you have ever lived in California as they do offer the Cali Surf and Turf, the hot Cheeto Burritos, tons of different Quesadillas and they even have agua fresca. We order a Carne Asada Tarta, Birria Tacos, and 2 Tacos à la cart. The food was just amazing with great flavor. The consome for the birria tacos definitely hit the spot. The Torta had great flavor and the bread was so buttery. The girl at the counter was very polite and recommended us a few more options. The place is nice and clean. The food was AMAZING! I live nearby and definitely found a new fav spot. The chicken rolled tacos were crispy, flavorful & filled with chicken! I ordered Carne Asada tacos and while I wish the meat had a tad bit more flavor, they're good enough to season with a dash of salt and some hot sauce - fair warning the creamy green salsa is SPICY but man it tastes amazing!
