I grew up eating here and to this day it's one of my favorite places. The only thing I'm mildly upset about is that they charge for chips and salsa now. But outside of that, incredibly nostalgic and everyone here works super hard. Could not recommend enough, especially for the price point.

I had the carne asada torta and it was delicious! So much meat and the bread was perfection. I've been trying to find a good torta in Dallas for 6 years and now this will be my SPOT!!

I'm a regular here and I ordered a torta with extra meat they confirm that the extra meat is half of the fillet but this is what they gave me . $3 xxtra for this little piece of meat I've ordered with extra meat in the past and it's come with two whole slices of meat . I found my new favorite *Authentic* Mexican restaurant!! It is by far some of the best true Mexican food I've had and for and INSANELY cheap price! Atmosphere: Very "mom and pop" feel with servers that only speak Spanish; it makes you feel right at home and fully immersed in the experience! I went with my friends around 1:00am. It was interesting to see the transition as the time passed. In the beginning it was filled with families and birthday celebrations. Once 2:15 hit, the crowd shifted to young and Halloween filled guests. Food: The chips and salsa started my dinner off right! The salsa was perfectly spicy and the chips were very fresh. I ordered the beef fajitas. They came out sizzling and were delicious! I couldn't believe how much food came in a personal size platter, especially for about $9! I was beyond full and had food to go. 10/10 you won't be disappointed

Food is Tex Mex style. Prices are reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. They did recently do away with free chips. Now you have to request ut at a cost. It's probably better than wasting so many baskets. We come here often. We have never been disappointed..yum yum

Woooooo! Stopped here in the morning for a quick bite on a whim and unexpectedly had one of the best burritos I've ever had! I asked for a breakfast burrito, with eggs, cheese, bacon, potatoes and beans. It wasn't on the menu but they made it happen. Less than $10 for a trip to heaven and back. You're welcome in advance. (Try the salsa). read more

This restaurant experience was quite unsettling. To begin, they charge for less than mediocre chips and salsa which I wouldn't feed to my three dead goldfish. The food was bland and the service was on par with the rest of the restaurant. I can't even describe how mortified I felt about the environment around the restaurant, outside there were people pushing a car and the restaurant itself was again on par with its blandness and unoriginality. If anyone were to ever consider going to this place don't, under all conditions do not come here....anywhere else would be better. read more

0 star. Our server was rude, food was bland and a simple quesadilla wasn't even good the cheese was nowhere near melted. They gave us chips and didn't tell us they charge you for the stale gross salsa and chips. It was dirty and the atmosphere of staff was unwelcoming. Finally our price came out to a huge total that I could've gone to a nicer restaurant for and it still would've been cheaper and better. Beware of the less than mediocre food and environment as well as the ridiculous pricing. read more

We drove more than 30 minutes my friends and I to have dinner at this restaurant, with a very large menu, the service is ok, the ambiance is ok, they charged us for the salsa and chips, no problem. we decided to order tacos and menudo, the tacos are fine but the menudo was tasteless, it looked like it was water, we told the waitress and she didn't care, when it was time to pay the manager asked us how the dinner was and we told him about the menudo, but he didn't care. We do not recommend it and would not think of returning anyway. read more

Good restaurant with large menu. Food is pretty good and the service is great. But it's all just OK. Nothing is really great or fresh or homemade tasting. There r so many great Mexican restaurants in the Oak Cliff area, u really have to have something that is worth coming back for. Plus chips and sauce r not an item served when u sit down. Ok we order chips and queso. Bag chips and melted cheese whiz! Enchiladas were soggy, meat for the taco was dry. No cilantro and lemon slices for your taco. It's these things that lose u stars. read more

my favorite spot to go to. it's up late. prices are much better than most places. enchiladas arent actually my favorite here but everything else is very good. they did recently start charging for chips but I'm okay with that. wife got the chilaquiles and those are top tier and some of my favorite anywhere actually. wish I would have got a picture. but trust us we Mexican Mexican. read more

Love the place there I've been going there since I was little whith my grandpa love the food and really grate prices to the workers are so lovely they treat you with care and help u out what's best food there. Me and my girlfriend went there today when we go there we sat down and they brought us tea menu there was so much to chose from there was burgers,chilaquiles,Tortas,eggs with what ever u want,rice,beans and all what ever there is there.so my girlfriend got the enchiladas de pollo con arroz y frijoles and I got a torta de milanesa with fries on the side.and omg it was so good the torta was big and the fries lovely and my gf Lcoe the enchiladas with rice and beans. And when We walk in it was berry clean the floor clean and all the tables clean and all lovely place to go with family recommend coming here read more

Authentic Mexican restaurant located near Bishop Arts District! Ordered the al pastor tacos, barbacoa tacos and the chile con queso. The tacos came out right away with a lemon on the side instead of lime. The al pastor meat was tender and juicy, the tortillas were fresh as well! Great service, will be coming back! read more

Definitely a decent place to visit while in Oak Cliff. Food: food I is actually very good, it is not the best in Dallas but it is up to par with its prices. It's hard to say it's overrated(since it gets so packed) because it is reasonably priced. Definitely recommend the fajitas (mixed) or even the tacos. Don't get fajita tacos here, it's not the same fajitas as the plates. Service: The service is very attentive and fast, do not be afraid if there is line of 10 people because they will find you a table in less than 15 minutes. Food is brought fast, never slow and will ultimately be there for 45 minutes to an 1 hour total time. Parking: parking is great, right in front but may have to pay meters depending on time. read more

We had #15 and #18 .. everything was great! We loved that the beans were beans and not bean purée . The chicken chalupa was on point! Full of chicken , guacamole , etc. . Ordered To Go and picked up within 15 minutes I enjoyed my meal and my drink. I ordered the cheese Enchiladas with Rice & Beans. Chips and Salsa were included. Overall my meal was good. My only bad comment would be that this restaurant is not on any food delivering apps. I called to place my order and was put on hold for 8 minutes. Stopped in for breakfast and tried this restaurant for the first time. Had the burrito with chorizo and egg. The chorizo was cooked perfectly, not tough or over cooked, the white cheese was melty and mixed well with the egg, the flour tortilla was not rubbery, everything tasted fresh and no aftertaste, which usually means they keep their grill clean. Great experience, will definitely visit again. read more

My family and I ate at the restaurant Sunday for my nephew's birthday. The staff was very kind, and they could accommodate our party of 20 people. The food was excellent as always. I have been coming here for a few years now and have always had a very good experience every time. Parking is always good and available, even when they are busy. The restaurant itself is always clean and orderly. And the staff is always friendly and efficient. My favorite go-tos are the Queso Blanco and the Chicken Fajitas. The Queso is second to none. The Chicken Fajitas always have a nice wood grilled flavor to them that is sure to please you! A few times I have made it to dessert, but not very often. My favorite dessert herebis the churros. They are delicious in their own right, but they also give you different dipping sauces like chocolate, caramel, or even a vanilla cream. They are served hot and fresh!

Sadly the enchiladas were less enticing -- the tortilla wrap was kind of rubbery and the chicken was unseasoned and stringy. The service could also be more attentive, since we ran out of water for a bit. Not a bad choice if you're in the area, but maybe do some research beforehand on what people recommend.

The house-made masa program and wood-fired cooking really shine throughout the meal, and it's easy to see why this restaurant has earned such a strong reputation. The service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely courteous without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere strikes a rare balance, it feels refined while still being warm, familial, and incredibly inviting. If you're ordering a cocktail, I highly recommend the El Dragón. Kinda strange, but eventually we had our order taken. I ordered a mango agua fresca which was pretty good. The complementary chips and salsas were also really good. For an entree I had the Tempura Fried Fish Tacos. These were very good and the coleslaw served with them was very good- crunch and bright. Overall the food here is pretty solid. The service was a bit off, but not a deal breaker, just be prepared to wait a while to have your order taken.

The food itself was still good, which is why I'm giving it three stars, but between the uncomfortable seating, tiny table, and lack of attentive service, it wasn't a very pleasant dining experience overall.

If you are looking for awesome authentic Mexican food. This is the place to go..and their prices are super cheap, portions are huge! I recommend their quesadillas,burrito tapatio, cheese enchiladas. I'm sure all of their menu items are equally delicious , but these are the items ive tried so far n they are all so good. Also, the chips and salsa come out fresh as soon as u get there. Great food=happy customer. The waitress was very attentive. I've been going here forever and it's never failed me. They used to give out complimentary chips and salsa but... I guess it was too much since they stopped. But you can never go wrong with some real Mexican food!! I recommend going in the afternoon since mornings it's always packed.
