The PaperMoon Diner offers a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience. From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by an eclectic collection of artwork, vintage memorabilia, dolls, and countless unique decorations that make the restaurant unlike anywhere else. It's definitely a place you have to see to appreciate. One of the biggest conveniences is the parking. They have a designated customer parking lot in addition to available street parking, which takes the stress out of finding a spot. We visited on a Sunday around 12:30 PM with a party of five and were seated immediately. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and every dish that came to the table was outstanding. We ordered the large Caesar salad, pulled pork sandwich, chicken quesadilla, Monte Egg breakfast sandwich, pesto burger, onion rings and Southern Love burger. Every meal was generously portioned, arrived fresh, and was packed with flavor. No one at the table had a complaint, and everyone left impressed. PaperMoon Diner isn't just known for its quirky atmosphere, it also delivers incredible food to match. If you're looking for a restaurant with a fun, unforgettable vibe and delicious food served in generous portions, this is a spot that's absolutely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

Five stars for ambiance and service! Papermoon is the most unique, fun, creative and eclectic restaurant in Baltimore! Such a fun place to take your family to just be in a fun uplifting atmosphere with toys, patterns and colors on every corner of the space. It's the best place to play eye spy. We had a party of 5 and the food came out just in time. Our server was very friendly. I ordered an omelet and it was a pretty average omelet. It wasn't the best omelet I've ever had. Loved the taste of goat cheese and veggies. The hash browns were okay as well. This is a diner and I think that for a diner is a great and fun place to go with friends and family! I do want to go back and try the blueberry pancakes because they looked incredible.

A D O R A B L Y eclectic! Sensory overload but in such a GOOD way! First thing to rave about is their private parking ... made me an immediate fan. The menu and ambience would make me return. The actual food ... not so much. I hate when the food just completely blows it for me. We didn't like the fries, the burgers, the tofu wrap, the pulled pork ... *sigh* Where was the seasoning? Not a hint of salt, pepper, or advertised hoisin. The service was decent. I don't handle being uncomfortable too well. We got the feeling this is for locals only and that's not a good feeling. I'm looking forward to rocking the t-shirt I purchased but, sadly, that's where the buck stops for me. Despite my displeasure ... PLEASE make it a point to visit ... I cannot rave enough about the decor and artwork (and aforementioned private parking).

Papermoon Diner is such an eclectic little magical diner. A sensory overload for the eyes, but in a neat way. After years of putting off my visit to Papermoon, I finally decided to take a surprise trip with my nephew. Since I knew eating a diner with so much fun stuff enrobing you would be up his alley. We stopped in on a late Sunday morning for breakfast and was lucky enough to not have to wait to be seated. Our server was nice, giving us a moment to decide what we wanted to nosh on while pointing out all the little trinkets covering the walls and ceiling. I opted for the Shrimp and Grits and my nephew settled on the Chocolate Chip Pancakes. The food was delicious. A generous amount of shrimp in the shrimp and grits adorned with some very creamy grits and a sauce chock full of veggies and tasso ham. My nephews stack of pancakes was soft and pillowy to which he devoured. My only gripe were the prices. I felt the pricing for some of the items, particularly the pancakes, were a little pricey. Three pancakes with no additional sides for $17.95 is pretty steep in my opinion. Next time I'll probably do a la carte to get a full meal at the same price of just three pancakes. Nonetheless, we had a great dining experience and we're looking forward to our next visit at Papermoon Diner.

I had an afternoon train back to NYC after a work conference and saw a bunch of reviews about this place. It's very busy on the outside with all of these unique and colorful pieces, trinkets and collector items the owner must've curated throughout their life. I got a sandwich and it was good. I think all of the decorative trinkets, weird dolls, old school toys, the massive pez collection and the other quirky items are the draw here. The food was good but idk if I'd call the menu super memorial. A really nice experience but I don't know if it's a place I'd go back to if I had some other options for brunch. Staff was nice.

Let me tell ya - I was 100% satisfied. This is a place you need to stop by and try if you are ever in Baltimore. Perfect place to go with friends for breakfast/lunch. There may be a small wait, but you usually get in within 20 min. The staff is friendly and have great vibes along with the entire restaurant. You will be amazed by all of the art in front and behind you. It's not your typical diner! Had the shrimp wrap. My friends raved about their options as well (Big Dipper breakfast and the Smarty Pants Burger with fries) we all had a bite before the pictures - it was too good to wait. All beverages are great! The hot chocolate and any milkshake are must gets! Don't say I didn't tell you

I can definitely say that the service at paper Moon is excellent and very fast. They definitely got us in and out for lunch. Our food came out to the table in probably 10 minutes or less from us ordering it. It's a very small place so they definitely can't play around with turning your table over. The restaurant has a hodgepodge of different knickknacks all over its walls and ceilings so there's a lot to look at. You can check out my pictures. I ordered the bananas foster French toast and it was good. I would say it was excellent if my French toast was hot, but I'm just one of those people who prefer my food to come out hot. The French toast was lukewarm. My son did enjoy his Caesar salad, garlic bread and chicken alfredo. I've been coming to Papermoon Diner since the late 90s and I would say it's still a very good diner.

This is a warm and inviting city favorite. Definetely recommend this place to try breakfast or lunch. It's too much of a zoo to make me want to be a regular though. No reservations and a bit tight inside. Neither of those I mind, it's very cozy and I see why they don't take reservations. Pancakes were perfection. Server seemed confused, new, and out of it. Got a couple of our orders wrong (I asked to switch my bread, and other things). I didn't mention it because it was busy and we didn't want to wait for replacements.

Burned Potato's, Poor Service - no check back on food at all. No lox. Benedict was 6 out of 10. Will not be back here, I've been coming here since the 90's. Didn't even fill my coffee cup back up, pathetic.

We had a great experience at Papermoon. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was quirky and fun, and the service was great. The food was done well but really, go for the vibes. You won't regret it!

Came here on a Sunday at 11am and got my party of 4 seated immediately! Around 12, all of the seats were full. Part of their concept is there's no set servers for each table, they have a different person bring out the food vs the receipt. I ordered an egg Benedict and shrimp quesadilla which were both large portions and tasty. I got a to go box for leftovers. Their interior is really interesting, lots of trinkets outside, on the walls, and the ceiling. There is a parking lot for customers only across the street which is a rare find in Baltimore!

After reading reviews about the service on Yelp, I almost didn't come & they were sadly correct but at least the food was tasty & the atmosphere was eclectic. When I arrived, it was almost 2 pm & the dining room was nearly empty & I asked for a window seat but it was refused as I'm a party of 1. Regardless, the whole time I was there, most of those tables remained open. If that wasn't enough, I also asked my waiter for water with no ice & lemon. He forgot the lemon & added ice anyways. During service, my drink never got filled without request & my other drink showed up later, as if he forgot I ordered it. The food was very tasty & the atmosphere is eclectic. If the staff could be more service oriented, this place could rock. But instead I'd say go somewhere else unless you don't need good service & just want an eccentric food experience. It's kind of like the nearby art museum, once you've been once, that's good enough because it's not going to be your go-to place unless you like servers who don't care about the customers.

Very quirky diner and decorations! Even the bathrooms are decorated. I ordered an omelette and the portion was pretty big and it tasted pretty good.

Wasn't able to get any food, as they stop serving an hour before closing. Not very friendly. The decor is unique.

Amazing Diner!!!…read more Mad flavor! Great prices! Good service! Nice quantities! Amazing homemade desserts! A must try if you are ever in the area. Also I think they have a name change (Red Cup Diner).

This place was a one-and-done experience for us. Never again!!…read more My husband and I ended up here after the Dave Chappelle show because our original dinner plans fell through when the restaurant was fully booked. We should have made reservations, but at that point, all we wanted was a decent meal (nothing fancy) after a long workweek and then to head home. Unfortunately, a decent meal didn't happen. The food was some of the worst we've had in a long time. My husband actually spit food into his napkin, shook his head, and said, "I'm done." I've never seen him do that before. Several dishes were simply inedible. The mashed potatoes were bland and flavorless--how do you mess up mashed potatoes? The potato salad was equally bland and disappointing. The French onion soup had very little broth and was overloaded with a thick layer of hardened cheese. Overall, the food tasted cheap and poorly prepared, yet the prices suggested otherwise. It felt like diner-quality food being sold at premium prices. What made the experience even more frustrating was the manager's response. He came to our table after hearing about our concerns, but instead of focusing on the quality issues we raised, he seemed more concerned that my husband refused to order a replacement meal. That spoke volumes about where the priorities were. The one bright spot was our server, who was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal. No complaints regarding the server as he was extremely apologetic with our experience. To our surprise, the restaurant also added an automatic gratuity to our bill. Ironically, had that not been done, we likely would have tipped our server more because he was not the problem. The kitchen and management were. No, I didn't complain about the tip after I noticed it on our bill. We were over the experience and just wanted to pay and get the hell out of there. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your hard earned money elsewhere. We certainly wish we had. Gordon Ramsay, if you're looking for a future Kitchen Nightmares episode, this place could desperately use the help. P.S. A business name change is not going to help with the quality of the food. Do better and prove that you actually care about your customers, not just the $$.

We were in the area and decided to try this spot for lunch. It has a cool aesthetic, very classic…read morediner. We sat in a booth, they also have counter seating available. Service was good; our waitress was friendly and they were attentive about keeping drinks full. Orders came out quickly and accurate My bf ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. I ordered a New Orleans panini (Cajun seasoned chicken, mushrooms, Swiss. Also came with onions which I omitted) and subbed mac and cheese in place of fries. The mashed potatoes were very bland and the consistency was meh. Not very creamy or flavorful. The gravy was very good. The steak was also well prepared and good with the gravy. The mac and cheese had a really nice, creamy consistency with a good cheese pull, but also lacked seasoning imo. The panini was very good. The chicken had good seasoning and was tender and the sandwich was nicely pressed and toasty. Prices were fair especially for the large portions, but not accurate to the menu (which a sign on the door warns about, but I still feel accurate prices should be available). Overall, though it was hit or miss I'd return and try some other items. I just wish seasoning was a bit more consistent since I love sides as much as I love mains.
