Super oily sauce that was loaded with enough garlic to take out a vampire a mile away and the beef was low quality in my opinion. Like the egg rolls, I wouldn't want this again. I don't know what specific menu item I received instead of the chicken teriyaki sticks, but it certainly isn't what I ordered. The sauce had some heat due to the large amount of red pepper flakes and there were onions, green peppers, and broccoli mixed in with a container of white rice on the side. The chicken itself was breaded, similar to General Tso's, but this clearly wasn't General Tso's. I was already back home by the time I discovered their mistake and didn't feel like driving back to New Berlin, so I ate what I could. It tasted fine and was ironically the best of the three items I received.

The chicken was not the greasy fried style but more of a beer battered fish style seasoned mildly. The children was not moist and juicy like some places but more dry like it was made in advance and sitting around like the food fried chicken that was made a couple hours earlier Walmart style. We were excited about the croissant beignets...Available were the regular ones with chocolate or strawberry dipping sauce, and a special with a fruit dipping sauce. They couldn't mix and match sauces, so we got the special. They were okay but a bit over-fried, losing the croissant texture altogether ...I mean, there's nothing wrong with deep-fried dough with sweet things to dip them in, but we do wish they hadn't fried the croissant out of them to give us the unique experience implied by the name. But fear not, there's still plenty of goodness to pick from. For our kiddos we got a single order of the mickey mouse pancakes for them to share (more than enough). Comes with a big breakfast sausage too, and juice. We chose a side of fruit to add. I had the an egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach. It came with English muffins, yay! Also added an order of turkey sausage on the side. And my husband? Could not stop raving about the breakfast burrito. Hard to impress this man when it comes to food, but he absolutely loved it. This place has earned every bit of the praise in this review. 1. Atmosphere-When you walk in, there's a small waiting area where you check in with the hostess. The cafe is a comfortable size, bright (especially now with the remodel), clean, and always welcoming. I've never encountered sticky menus, messy tables, or anything that would gross me out. It's a clean environment. 2. Owner Presence & Service- One of the standout qualities is the owner. She is always present, always upbeat, and always engaging with guests. You can feel that this is a family owned and family operated establishment. She's hands on in every way. I've seen her wrapping silverware, clearing tables, seating guests, checking people out...you name it. The only reason I haven't seen her cook is because the kitchen is closed off. I wouldn't be surprised if she did help with cooking! Her warmth and energy set the tone for the whole restaurant, and it's one of the things I appreciate most. I'm sure this is one of the reasons why they are so successful. Because it is always busy. 3. Food Quality- The food is always great. Their pancakes are my personal favorite. Always fluffy and delicious. The menu covers just about every breakfast option you can think of from crêpes, waffles, pancakes, skillets, omelettes, corned beef hash, and even a Greek skillet with gyro meat. I like that they offer plenty of combo options so you don't have to order everything separately. They also have a nice selection of lunch items.
