Food was amazing as always, service was a little slow as in we were not checked on until the end of our meal and went the whole dinner without a water refill until we were done. This is without question the worst service I've ever received in a restaurant. The staff seemed far more interested in having chatty discussions amongst themselves, than in attending to tables. I sat at my table after the food was brought out for 20 minutes without anyone coming by and asking how things were. My beverage and my water were empty at this point I also needed an additional ketchup, because the ketchup is served in individual packets, rather than in a bottle. The chairs are steel and uncomfortable. The restaurant in general is attractive, and the food was fine. In my case, I had a gyro sandwich, so it's hard to screw that up. I was eventually able to get the manager, and I explained to him the difficulties I was having. He came back after a few minutes and told me that there was a shift change going on. I told him that that wasn't my problem. He seemed very solicitous, but that doesn't make up for the service. Based on the service I received (or didn't receive), I can't recommend this restaurant. read more

At 6:20 pm I asked for a status of my order and they said it was going to take another 30 minutes.l and they couldn't do anything. I cancelled and asked to speak to the manager. I had to amend my review to give these guys 5 stars. I ordered from here a few days ago and I did not get my salad so I reached out and not only were they apologetic they offered to comp a salad for me on my next visit. I took them up on the offer and I'm so glad I did. The salad was fresh and tasty and the gyro meat was flavorful and delicious. We also got a gyro wrap and fries and it was also delicious! I was close by and had ordered takeout many times before. I decided to place an order today to have for dinner. Their website uses the Clover online order system and after two failed attempts to have the order go through, I defaulted to link in yelp (which takes you to DoorDash). When I went to pick up my order, a waitress tried to had me an order that I knew was not mine (I ordered a few entrees, totaling about $90; she tried to hand me what looked like a tall soup container). She asked me my name and I gave it to her. It was *similar* to the name on the ticket but not the same. Also by the sheer difference in the volume of the order, they should've been able to tell it was not the right order. I told them I ordered a few plates and gave them the receipt total. She talked to other staff as they tried to locate my order. What they decided was that I had already picked up my order (?!), then they pivoted and said that a DoorDasher had picked it up bc I selected "Delivery" (um, no: my receipt said pick-up). A male server then proceeded to come up with scenarios how the order must have been delivered to where I was when I ordered it (huh? How's this possible if I didn't put in an address; also I was still at that location at the time they said the food was "probably" delivered). They kept telling me to check my account and my email to find out what happened. They asked me my name multiple times. They told me to cancel the order (couldn't do that since it was marked as picked up). Finally, since I was now late to pick up my kids, I asked if they could refund me. The female server called the owner and I heard her explain what happened. She told me, "He won't help you". I was shocked. I paid almost $100 and no one can locate my order and the restaurant said to figure it out myself, call DoorDash. I told the waitress I wasn't sure what my options were since technically DoorDash said the order had been picked up. Maybe call my credit card company to dispute the charge?? She said, yeah, if you have to bc, she repeated, "He won't help you". She said this at least 2 more times. "He's doesn't want to be out the money if he refunds you." So, it's okay for me to be out $90 bc your staff made an error? At least she seemed somewhat sorry about this management decision. Now I'm super late to pick up the kids and I'm driving for about an hour to get to where I need to go, talking (hands free, of course) to DoorDash in the car to try to get my money back and figure out what happened. DoorDash confirmed what I thought: PapFeta gave my order to someone else. The restaurant staff was so adamant that it was somehow my fault. I asked DoorDash if there was anyway I clicked something wrong. They said no; it was the restaurant's fault. DoorDash is processing my refund. Someone from the restaurant reached out to apologize for my inconvenience with DoorDash. So that was nice, except it wasn't DoorDash's fault. And I had already taken the time to contact DoorDash to get my own resolution to this problem. When I told her this, she said yes; that they did indeed give my order to someone with the same name. Problem is, it wasn't the same name (close but not the same and order was clearly different). You told me what I already know and confirmed the resolution that I needed to work for myself. I like the food and we have eaten there before. We have taken another family with us for a big group meal. We've had office takeout also, though people are mixed whether this place is better than other similar restaurants in the area. Service is generally okay. Not great (friendly but slow, not much checking in during service, and significant time lag between bringing out food (half of us were done, kids still hadn't gotten their food), but usually not terrible. I don't think this review will stop most people scrolling yelp trying to decide on a restaurant. But hopefully it will give the management pause to consider that maybe the customer is actually right. read more

I dream of this food! We discovered this little place when shopping with my daughter after she and her husband had just moved to the area. She and I shared the Papa's Everything for lunch and it was a delicious sampler. This soon became a favorite carry out spot for them. Every time I visit now I HAVE to go there. Their hummus is divine! Last time the 3 of us ordered a family platter so we would have leftovers to take home. So much food! We loved everything. The meat was super greasy and overall the meal was basic at best. The service was mediocre, tables didn't seem to have a dedicated server. Comes w chicken & beef shwarma, shish kabobs, chicken souvlaki, and chicken cream chop over basmati rice and garnished w a grilled chili pepper and seared onions, also comes w tandoori bread. This tray does not come w hummus so I ordered that extra. Great choice of assorted baklava, all of it was delicious!! Semon helped me out, he was really nice. This place and Himalayan taste are the absolute best restaurants in Temecula and the surrounding areas. This place is a bit overpriced and if u go during lunch while the owner is there u will pay the same as later and get less stuff and less well prepared on the plate. Seems like the opposite of any other situation I've seen but I assure u, this has happened to multiple people I know and me so many times. Went about 645 pm on a Sunday night. Restaurant busy. Clean, nice modern taverna feel. Quickly seated. We ordered a small hummus as appetizer, and gyro wrap with fries and a falafal wrap with fries. Hummus was very good. Bread is NOT included in a small hummus order of $8, and they charge $5 for a single large piece of tandoor bread, making total of $13 for the appetizer! Why would they serve hummus without bread? It would have been better to include bread. Felt nickle and dimed on the appetizer. Both beef/ lamb gyro and falafel wraps were very good. The tsatziki sauce we both felt had the right taste but was too mild and could have been a bit more tangy. Overall, we graded the sandwiches an A minus. Fries were good. Service was prompt, attentive and pleasant. One more minor issue... ketchup plastic packets that were near impossible to open felt out of place in a sit down restaurant. Better to provide ketchup bottle on request. Overall, our grade was a 4.5. We will be back as the food was very good, the service excellent. Just get rid of the excessive bread up charge with the hummus, and get rid of ketchup packets. read more
