The food is amazing!! I don't always like falafel because it's often dry and bland but the falafel at papa feta is very flavorful. The grape leaves are my absolute favorite though, I would get them every time I come here. For dessert they have a vegan cake slice and it was absolutely delicious I stuffed myself till I couldn't anymore. I wish they had a vegan baklava since it's one of the classic Arab desserts and I couldn't have any but I look forward to hopefully seeing it in the future. They have some other great vegan options I highly recommend though so thank you for considering us when making your menu! Lentil soup with curry flavors. We also enjoyed the small salads served with the plates. Greek salad and beet salad. Our waitress was sweet and efficient. The restaurant is pretty casual, we needed to ask for plates for the shared bites & extra napkins, short silverware but they took good care of us. Oh yum yum. One of my favorite places to eat. Big portions and the meats all flavorful. From the pickled side veggies, to their perfectly cooked fluffy rice, and their yummy pita breads. I'm a fan. They even have one side showcasing a bunch of beautiful Greek/Mediterranean desserts. Always great service, except for the one time I came in with 30 mins left to closing for a pick up. Not a single smile, but they did however still took the time to let me in on the dessert side to let me pick a few. So I appreciated it. Ok, I know that Papafeta has been open since 2021, but I just found out about it. Went there with friends we hadn't seen in a while and had a great time. We were immediately greeted and seated and made to feel welcomed. Nice atmosphere and great service, something that is sorely lacking these days. Shelly ordered the Potato Chop Appetizer while I had the Beef Shawarma Wrap with fries. Both excellent choices and the portions are good. I would come back! My husband and I had the small hummus with cucumbers and pita bread. We also ordered the tray 1 as we knew we wanted left overs. Everything was tasty. I liked all the options on the tray and the meats had all great flavor. The service was good. We went on a Saturday around 11:30am and it had a good amount of people. The vibe was was average and it was nice that they spaced everyone out. They have a dessert place connected to the restaurant. At first glance Papafeta looks like a fancy fast food set-up, but it's actually a full-service dine in venue. As we entered, a woman told us to seat ourselves while she grabbed the menus and brought them to our table. We arrived around 6:00pm when the restaurant slowly started to fill up for dinner. I wasn't feeling too hungry so I ordered the baba ghanoush, which tasted fresh and delicious; tasted exactly like the kind served at Lebanese restaurants. Hubby ordered a shawarma-like sandwich, which had a combination of spices he's never had before. Our daughter ordered the loaded fries w/chicken; the portion was HUGH, enough for around 3 people depending on your appetite. The Vimto soft drink is fruity soda one must try if you haven't already done so. I only drink diet, so my teenager is the one who usually orders this. Interestingly, we were told to walk over to the other side of the wall to order dessert after we paid for dinner. The room is a separate pastry shop. Unfortunately, there was no attendant so we ended up leaving without ordering anything. The baklava and fried sweets looked yummy, though. Will probably return to try them. I would like to first do a shot out to the wait staff. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. A family run restaurant where everyone looks like they actually like working there. The place was very clean and decorated very nice. So now about the food. Absolutely the best Mediterranean food I've had in a very long time. The quality of the food is what makes this place unique. They make everything from scratch. Which is very hard to find a restaurant that does that. And thats why the food taste great. We tried so much. First the wine section was great. We had the hummus and bread. The egg roll things, the cheese one wasn't my favorite but the other two were good. The potato one kinda remindedme of Indian food. We had a chicken wrap and a gyro wrap. Both were really good. The beet salad was to die for. And the cucumber salad was refreshing. Chicken was juicy. We finished it off with baklava was really good and not sticky like most. Beautiful little place and very busy! We ordered a small Greek salad that was just ok, tabbouleh that was very refreshing but the star of the show was the moussaka! My husband had it in Greece years ago and still talks about it, I can see why! It was luscious! I could honestly just eat that, it came with good fries. I would try and order something else but that moussaka is pretty hard to forget. There are several things we want to try and I'm excited. The place was clean, cute, and has very pleasant service. Being that I am Greek and was raised Greek pretty much my whole life. This is a slap in the face to Greek food. It's cool if you want to be a different Mediterranean culture and want to play dress up as a Greek restaurant . At least get it, right... I ordered a chicken "souvlaki" plate, I expected it to have rice pilaf as that is what Greek's serve with dishes. (Not basmati rice, wth?) Chicken koobideh kabab is NOT SOUVLAKI! (SMDH) Greek dishes are always served with a rice pilaf which is a traditional Greek side to a souvlaki dish. (Why are you serving BASMATI RICE??) If you're going to serve a GREEK salad, where's the feta??? Where is the Kalamata olives??? I got less than an ounce maybe one and a half slivers of feta cheese and feta is supposed to be crumbly.. not like a sheet of paper.... And since when do Greeks eat tandoori bread??? Never in my book! We eat PITA!! Don't even get me started on the dessert.... They used some kind of pistachio paste, to make baklava??? And they did the same thing with a walnut base... Baklava is supposed to taste like butter and honey!! And it's supposed to be 6 layers down then a sprinkle of walnuts or pistachios and another layer of phyllo dough covered in butter, and you repeat that process four or five times until you reach the top then you do just layers of phyllo dough and butter then soaked in a honey syrup!!! it's not rocket science... it's called laziness... And can someone explain to me why the Loukumi tasted like rubber?? To pay $24 a pound is absolutely absurd... I got two pieces of Loukumi, one rose, and one coconut, and it was stale... I think I paid like five dollars for 2 pieces.... 5 DOLLARS..... For half the price, I can enjoy Papa Cristo in LA!! And get real genuine, authentic Greek food! Or damn I might even take myself to Aliki's Greek Taverna next to lax... Or maybe even Sherman Oaks! Let's go to the great Greek and get some real Greek food! Today, while shopping at the Temecula promenado mall, we decided to try this nice clean little Mediterranean restaurant! First, the restaurant has good enough space for dining in. Secondly, it was very clean. The restaurant is split into two sections: one where the food and bar area, while second is a nice small bakery cafe where both Arabian tea and Turkish coffee are served, along with a wide variety of baklava types, and cakes. We ordered chicken shawarma wrap with fries, and a lamb shank quzi. Both were mouth watering delicious .. the quzi lam shank meat was tender and falling off the bone.. the fries were amazing and so was the chicken shawarma.. we finished the lunch with two orders of Arabian teas, and two baklavas.
