Today's visit was a miss. I ordered the $13.99 Tuesday Large Cowboy special and asked for it to be folded. Last time, they folded the Large pizza perfectly; this time, they downsized me slightly, an almost standard calzone instead of using the Large I paid for. The lack of effort was everywhere: the salad presentation was a disaster, and the cashier actually asked me if I "really wanted the sticker" for it instead of just doing her job. To top it off, they didn't include the baking instructions on the pizza. The store felt unprofessional, with an off-duty employee in street clothes hanging around the prep area socializing while things were being handled sloppily. Asked for extra sauce and mushrooms, didn't see much mushrooms on there for extra but thought: "whatever it's just the mushrooms." Nope! I get home and cook my pizza, take my first bite, NO SAUCE. Literally straight bread and cheese :C I thought maybe it was just the one spot, nah. The whole pizza was dry as hell, only the edges had smidges of sauce to make it seem full... called and they offered to replace it after I told them I could bring in the cook pizza with LIGHT sauce (was supposed to be extra). Came back and the Asian kid at the register said it was policy and that I had to bring it the pizza I just offered to bring it on the phone... I asked why wouldn't they have told me that over the phone before I just drove 12 minutes back. Idk who but the young man in the back told him to just give it to me. Hello, I went to the papa Murphy's in burien Washington, 98148 off of first ave. I ordered a large LTN CYO With extra creamy garlic , spinach, pepperoni, chicken, bacon and mushroom. Once I got home... which I live downtown seattle 98109, I realized there wasn't any extra creamy garlic , as well as the spinach was soggy and bad. I put in a survey letting them know my experience was bad, as well as called the store to inform the manager to not use anymore spinach on future orders because it may be bad. She was nice and okay with that at first, asked to replace my pizza, but I let her know I lived downtown so me coming back would be just to much especially in traffic. But I work in that plaza so that is why I order from there every Tuesday. (Makes a fast dinner) she calls me back about 5 minutes later because she sees I put my survey in that wasn't the best. She's yelling at me, saying I didn't address everything that was wrong with my order when I called so I'm a liar. She is saying she is going to tell her boss that the issue was resolved and that I never addressed Everything to her, so it must not be true. She proceeds to yell " when you called you didn't say anything about the garlic sauce only about the spinach do you REALLY want you're 1.99 back for the spinach .that's nothing, it's honestly not a problem" I'm letting her know it's not about the money but about the principle I was just letting them know the spinach wasn't good, and giving my honest review. She proceeds again to tell me she will let her boss know the issue is resolved and I didn't mention EVERYTHING on the phone. I tell her "if corporate or you're boss need to call me I'd be happy to speak to them. She yells your a liar, they don't need to speak to you and says thankbou and deliberately hangs up in my face. I feel that was WAY OUT OF LINE, MORE THEN UNNACCEPTABLE WHEN I AM A CUSTOMER LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I called and placed an order to go for 2 XL New York style pizzas; One pepperoni, one pepperoni and sausage, the woman who took my order was very nice and friendly. We pickup the pizzas and as we're paying, the guy who was at the counter was looking at his phone and barely was talking and was dry. Later, we come to find out that we got one pepperoni, and one with no sausage and with chopped garlic in it. This was the first time ordering from this establishment, and no doubt will be the last. I've gotten take out pizza from my Burien Papa Murphy's since they first opened. Tonight I stopped in after not having done so since COVID. The store is newly renovated and clean and it was nice to see. I looked up at the menu board and found my pizza - a large thin crust veggie - and saw that the price was 19.99. I was content to place my order, but when I paid for it, the bill was $24.23. I asked the young woman who was taking my money if there was an addition fee other than tax. She said no, just tax. I said that's too much tax on a 19.99 pizza and she told me my pizza cost $21.99. even though I was looking at the menu board. I said no, I ordered a large thin crust and it clearly says the price is $19.99. so she replied "yeah, we need a new board. Your pizza is 21.99". I looked around the entire store. No place was it noted that the giant menu board has incorrect price. Then she smirked at me and walked away. This really ticked me off but I just kept quiet and watched her make my pizza because her behavior made me worry she'd spit in my food. Her name is on my receipt so I know who she is she gave the worst customer service and I feel screwed over. I will NEVER go back. First Papa Murthy's I've been to in several years. App was easy to use. Staff was very help and friendly as I stopped in after work to get my order. Pizza was done earlier than reserved and was very tasty. All in all no complaints and I'll stop by again on the way home sometime. read more

Sad that they are supposed to make your pizzas fresh. Did an online purchase for a Hawaiian and a few others and of course when I got home the Hawaiian was just a Canadian bacon pizza missing the pineapple. This is not the first time they have not put a topping on one or more of my pizzas but then when I called he told me it was the Manager on night shift that prepped those pizzas early for sale. I go here regularly, at least once a week. The other day I chocked on a long hair that was melted into the pizza I was eating. It was the first slice and the hair spanned 3 pieces. I called the shop and asked for a credit for the pizza. I was told I have to bring it back. It is not the point t if the 10 $ pizza . It is the sheer lack of customer service that I'm pissed about. Replanting dinner with 2 kids isn't fun when they are hungry and dinner is ruined. I old them I could provide them pictures but that was not adequate for a response from the manager/. I sure don't know what was wrong. Followed the instructions as always, the crust was browned (not burnt at all) but it was so frikin hard. I hate a hard crunchy crust. The toppings were ok, but the crust is everything in a pizza. (It wasn;t a thin crust) We used to go to Papa Murphy's on a regular basis, something went wrong on our last visit so we quit going for a while until tonight, and we had a bad experience again. Placed online order at 1:30p for pizza to be ready for pickup at 5:45p. When I arrived at 5:45p the person at the pickup station by the door could not find my pizza and questioned if the order was successful in being placed or maybe it wasn't ready yet. Another employee tried to help but couldn't explain why my order wasn't ready when order was placed 4+ hours prior to pickup. The 3rd employee was the only one who knew what the issue was. My card had only been charged half via the online system so they needed me to pay the remaining balance. Bought pizza online to avoid contact and waiting in-store. What is the point of an online order system if I still need to wait in line to pay remaining balance due to system error and also wait for pizza to be made? It was an unwritten rule that one of these must always be a Gourmet Chicken Garlic; it's still probably my favorite pizza of all time, despite the fact that I don't usually even like white-sauce pizzas. The "secondary" pizza varied according to our mood, from Gourmet Vegetarian to Hawaiian to Chicago-Style Stuffed (delicious, but impossible to eat without a knife and fork, which kinda spoils the fun). These days I've got a nice little kitchen of my own, and I'm pretty into homemade pizzas, to the point where I prefer it to most commercial stuff. But the one thing that can actually still top homemade is take-n-bake. You get professional-quality crust and toppings *plus* that unbeatable fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness. Ordered 2 large pizza's on 5/9/21. One pizza has no tomatoes, the other was an all meat large with white sauce and fresh ingredients from under the counter due to my food allergy. I am allergic to Citric Acid. I ask this of them because of cross contamination. I have gone there for years and never had a problem. This trip, the manager sat there asking me all sorts of questions and then telling me that that was impossible because it would throw his expiration dates off. (Never was told this before) Then he says that that would take too much time and that he was "slammed". Even though the store was empty and they had 1 order ahead of mine. He then said that he would make them in the back of the store out of sight. All others are made right there in front of you. The first one they made with red sauce, Which I am allergic too because they add Citric Acid to the Red sauce as a preservative. So he had to remake it, then he took the ingredients from the top instead of the bottom on the second one. Even though I requested fresh ingredients due to cross contamination. And all this with the fact that they did not rewash their hands and replace the gloves after each pizza and the utensils were gross and look like they had not been replaced all day. (This was at around 5:15 PM) When I requested a refund due to his lack of concern for cross contamination, he told me, "I am certified and you are not. And what I say goes in this store." I told him that I would be reporting this and he says, "Go ahead. Nothing is going to happen. You are wrong to ask things like that." So I ask this of people. If you have an allergy and you request certain precautions are taken. Is it wrong to do so? I think not. And treating your customers like they are second class citizens is wrong. I am in fact certified in food contamination protocols and to assume that I am not is just wrong. It is hard enough that I have to find places I can even walk into let alone eat at. So as of the writing of this review, they have lost a 10+ year customer. If you are looking for a good pizza, find a place that does not disciminate against people with allergies. This was a horrible experience and I will never go there again as long as that manager is in charge. Learn customer service man. read more

Absolute horrid service! Placed a pre-order for pizza this morning for pickup this afternoon. Arrived right on time and the employees working there had no clue. They then made us wait 30 minutes so that they could build the pizzas without an apology or any offer to correct their mistake. 2 weeks ago we had poor customer at this same location, thought an online pre-order would make things better, apparently not. The manager could care less, as it looks like plenty of other people have had very similar problems with this location...hoping we don't end up with someone's nasty hair in our food, or food poisoning like several of the other reviewers! For the price you really can not find a better pizza. They actually put enough cheese on to begin with so you never need to order extra, the toppings are fresh and tasty, they have a crust style to satisfy everyone, their veggie pizzas are yummy even for a carnivore, the staff always does a terrific job and are always friendly and attentive to the customers, and it's in a really convenient location. I love how fresh their pizzas taste! It makes me feel good about being lazy and not making my own! You can order on the phone and have it ready when you get there or order then do some shopping while you wait! I like that I can get errands done while waiting for it to me made! The staff is great. I like how it's made just for you, so if you have a picky eater you can have something removed or have it on half! Their cowboy, Hawaiian and garlic chicken have always been my favorite! They also have bread sticks, cookies, brownies and salads, you can pick up to make a whole meal! They have super detailed cooking directions so in summer you can bbq your pizza no need to heat up the house! Also like that you can make the crust crispy if that's how you like it! This location is inflexible in refusing to hold the "green specks" (aka Italian seasonings) my hubby and kids dislike on the XLNY cheese pizza. Well for somebody who had Papa Murphys for the first time my review will be based on the entire experience. Customer service was nothing special, quality of the pizza wasn't bad which i ate 40 minutes later but the main thing that stood out was the PRICE of this pizza. $20 for a large raw(uncooked) pizza? yeah WAY over priced just for that reason. I can go to other pizza places and walk away with pizza ready to eat for half that price. if you get 3 large pizzas your dropping over $60 bucks on raw food?
