Menu and prices

Good food for lunch truck. Very carb heavy so you feel it after eating but good flavor. Winged fries have a bit too much cheese so necome overwhelming if bite has a lot of it but decent flavor with a bit high prices but comparable with other food trucks. Fountain drinks are amazing...very carbinated.

Disappointing dog

Food was average- I ordered the hawaiian dog or aloha dog (something hawaiian) which is a bacon wrapped dog, comes on a hawaiian roll has teriyaki and pineapple... I wasn't impressed the sweetness of the roll threw it off. Service was friendly however did not expect it to take as long as it did especially since there was no line And the truck itself doesn't say to much on what they make or what their specialty is... All and all it was... Blah

We got the beef hot dog, the Hawaiian dog, and the wing fries. Totally worth it! Everything tasted as amazing as they looked! Loved the little mustache stamp on my hotdog bun. Definitely a cute little surprise!

Got the chance to try Papa Dad's on Sunday @ Bottle Logic Brewing in Anaheim. My first impression of the truck was that they keep that thing CLEAN! Not only the exterior, but you could also see into the kitchen and they kept that clean as well! That kind of attention to detail, always peaks my interest in what they had to offer. Food wise I had the German Brat, and my girlfriend had the Caprice burger, we split both which was hard because they looked so good. The brat was PHENOMENAL. The sausage was cooked perfectly over a grill, leaving great char marks for extra flavor, the casing had a wonderful snap to it, and the sauerkraut was divine. The Burger was awesome, I asked them for a medium burger (the way it should be), just in case they cooked medium well / well, and they gave me a perfectly cooked burger, nice and pink on the inside so it was super juicy. The balsamic glaze they used on the burger was what made the sandwich for me, WOW. The mozzarella cheese was shredded, but if you look at the melt you can tell it was real cheese. All in all the truck was clean, the food had great flavor, and was cooked perfectly. The menu was well thought out, and they even brought my food into the bar for me, you cant ask for much more. FIVE STARS!!!!!!!!!

Is the chicken sausage with buffalo sauce and gorgonzola cheese it's a must try

I always like to see food trucks sitting in a parking lot with steam coming out the tops. I really get excited when I see there menu and find exotic items like Camel or a Gator dogs long with there normal items. So I had to try the Gator dog. Great dog, fresh ingredients and the guys were supper cool. I would of liked a little more heat and maybe a home made mustard. Great truck a must to have again!

Excellent Hot Italian dog! The sausage had a great snap to it. The peppers and onions just doubled down the taste. The bun was warm and soft and just contained all the juices from the sausage. The fries were very addictive and made the meal complete.

Every Wednesday night a different Food Truck pulls into my complex at Villa Siena Apartment Homes and tonight was a pleasant surprise. The wait was longer than usual as the person taking your order was also the cook. The wait wasn't so bad as they have a satellite television on the side of the truck that was showing a baseball game. The chicken wings are a must, as they have the right amount of heat to make them mouthwatering. My sister had a bacon wrapped hot dog which was better than any LA street vendor. I had a bratwurst which was served in a King's Hawaiian roll which was a nice change up than a regular hot dog bun. This Foid Truck would have got a full five stars if the wait was shorter, hopefully next time they have more staff.

Great wings. The Gorgonzola cheese really topped it off well. Ordered the chicken dog too and it was also very tasty.

The hot dog itself was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. The bun was soft and fresh, which made every bite even better. The chili was really the standout--rich, hearty, and just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the dog. Everything came together so well. You can tell they put care into the quality of their food. It's a stand so you order at the window. You can take out or eat at one of the outdoor tables which is covered. They also serve Thrifty ice cream and milk shakes which I plan to try next time. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to when I'm craving a really good hot dog!

We stopped by on a Monday in the middle of the afternoon to give it a try. We had a Chicago Dog, a Chili Dog, plain fries and a vanilla ice cream cone. It seemed old school to order at the walk up window. The food was prepared while you waited. The person who took our order also prepared our food. (Tongs and other implements were used handling the food but some direct touching occurred. I would suggest the staff wear gloves.) The kitchen looked clean. Our food was ready quickly. I was told that the Chicago Dog was good. I had the Chili Dog with cheese. It was okay. The chili had good flavor. Based on prior reviews, I was expecting that signature snap when I bit into the dog. I was disappointed that it was not there. The vanilla ice cream was great. The fries were fresh and hot. This place is on a busy street so it can get rather loud sitting outside. It was touch windy and cold when we were there. The hot dog was not as epic as I expected. I was disappointed that the dog had no snap and just tasted just ok. I would come back and try something else from the menu. The shakes sound good.

It was among the best hot dogs I've ever had. I loved the rich bbq sauce and the perfectly grilled onions. The bun was fresh and the dog itself was great quality with excellent "snap". I'm a bit spazzy when it comes to eating and walking so wanted to sit for a moment to eat. The Outlets are notorious for having no outdoor seating so I just found a chair at one of the fast food places. It doesn't take long to eat a weenie so I was done before I could be chased away.

I believe it's a little truck in the food area and I am not sure if there's seating around, but I think not since it's giving a street dog vibe. My order was made so fast! I got the typical LA dog, which was wrapped in bacon and had grilled onions and bell peppers on top. I can't believe this was my first street dog EVER and that's when I realized what I was missing out all the time after concerts... It was SOOO good!!! I'm so glad I was feeling gluttonous and got an extra large glizzy because I ended up gobbling up the whole thing. This was exactly what I needed honestly. Yay hot dogs! The only minor thing that I didn't love is that I ordered "homemade chips" and they just gave me a small bag of Lays for $2.50. I didn't love that I payed that much for probably a 50 cent worth bag when I expected some nice homemade ones so they should definitely change that on the orders.

Either way, make sure you pair it with any of their 10+ beers on tap and you'll for sure enjoy every moment of that bite. I ordered their cheddar bratwurst topped with pickled jalapenos and carmelized onions in a pretzel bun. The wurst was kind of the dry side but beer always helps. "A faith is dead when no one can think of a heresy."…read more -James Richardson "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Samuel Johnson I drove to this wiener shack or Wienerschnitzel or hot dog box or whatever with one goal in mind: I yearned to make myself forget the bitter disappointment of being waitlisted or excluded from so many Yelp Elite events. I've rarely felt so faux important and so legitimately ordinary & unsung. An elite benchwarmer is closer to the truth. Told to sit out again & again by the Yelp algorithmic powers that be. Lorea? Waitlisted. Orange Hill? Waitlisted. Spaghettini? Waitlisted. Being an Elite All-Star helps a little, but is not being Elite already enough status? A definition: "often : superior in quality, rank, skill, etc. an elite performer, an elite athlete, an athlete with elite skills." I have been left out as an Elite All Star too. Perhaps I am the best of the benchwarmers. Could be I am not conventionally attractive enough, so other Yelpers do not want to like my reviews for halo effect type reasons. Could be I do not craaaaank out dozens of fluffy, clipped reviews for the sake of maintaining a perception. Could be my reviews just aint got that swing, baby. Who knows. Anyway, sometimes to cope with the rejection all face from to time, one must invent a new form of pain to distract from the brutal reality that awaits all of us. My choice form of suffering is The Twinkie flavored milkshake served at Wienerschnitzel. Unlike some events & occasions, & places meant only for the creme de la creame, Wienerschnitzel will always welcome me with open buns. I've never been told I cannot go or don't belong at a Wienerschnitzel. I chose the drive thru this time because I could not bear to seen by the staff. I feared they might sense I am one of the lesser Yelp Elites by sourpuss disposition. The drive thru lady was pretty chill on the intercom, & she took my milkshake order. The ambiance of the drive thru is Miami Vice sexy except that it does not look like a cool TV show scene or feel sexy. The staff took no time to make the dietarily heinous beverage. Shake in hand. I sipped to forget the agony of defeat. I closed my eyes, and I let the cold liquid chunks of Twinkie take the wheel. All those narcotic levels of sugar tainting my veins & arteries. A trash parade rolling through my circulatory roadways. I finished the shake in less than a mile of driving. Sometimes the only way to forget a terrible moment in the past is drive one's self through an even more frightening moment in the future. Thank you Wienerschnitzel for letting me roll by. Their bacon-wrapped hot dog and signature piñabero sauce were unforgettable. The meat was tender, juicy, and absolutely delicious. Fast forward to a few years later: I was hosting another baby shower at a venue in Huntington Beach. Even though they didn't have a license to operate in the city--and their pricing was higher--I still really wanted them. I even offered to cover the cost of the business license so they could cater my event. But the day of the event was a total letdown. The staff arrived late and started cooking in foil trays, which immediately raised questions from my guests. I kept trying to hype them up, saying "just wait, this is the best I've ever had!"--but when the food came out, it was disappointing. Tacos and hot dogs were bland, and even the "signature" sauce couldn't save it. Guests were making comments like, "Taco Bell would've been better." To make matters worse, it was so embarrassing that my guests ended up filling up on the pizzas I had ordered for the kids. Since then, I've had friends and family recommend other taco caterers, which kind of stings given how much I once vouched for Mr. Hot Bunz. Really disappointed. I truly hope they can bring back the quality they once had, but I won't be using them again.

I wanted to share some comprehensive feedback regarding a recent experience, aiming to highlight both your successes and areas where further refinement could elevate the customer journey even further. First and foremost, I must commend your team for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. From my initial phone call to the moment I picked up my order, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. This level of customer service, which often feels lacking in many establishments today, truly sets American Grub apart. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that significantly enhances the overall experience, and I sincerely hope this commitment to friendliness remains a cornerstone of your operation. However, I encountered a couple of points that, in my personal opinion, warrant consideration for improvement. Regarding the payment process, I felt a degree of apprehension about providing my credit card details over the phone. While I understand the operational need to secure orders and prevent potential losses, particularly for larger transactions, for a single item like my bacon cheeseburger, priced at $17.24 including tax, this practice felt somewhat disproportionate. I also noted the 99-cent fee for online payments, which, while minor, might deter some customers who are seeking convenience without additional charges. Perhaps exploring alternative secure payment links for phone orders or adjusting the fee structure for smaller transactions could enhance customer comfort and streamline the process. My primary concern, however, arose upon returning home. Despite ordering a bacon cheeseburger, I discovered the burger completely lacked bacon, as well as any form of sauce or mayonnaise. This oversight had a significant impact on the meal; the absence of these core components rendered the burger quite bland and far from the experience I had anticipated. When ordering a single item, the expectation for meticulous attention to detail is particularly high, as there are fewer variables. Consequently, the overall value of the meal, given the missing ingredients, was not quite met on this occasion. I did reach out to the owner privately via email to discuss these points, and I appreciate their responsiveness and transparency in addressing my feedback, particularly concerning the rationale behind the phone payment policy. It is reassuring to know that your business is open to customer input. My hope is that these observations can serve as constructive input, allowing American Grub to continue refining its excellent service and product quality. I remain a supporter of your local endeavor and look forward to seeing these aspects addressed. Thank you for reaching out. To clarify, all my reviews and communications are crafted solely from my personal experiences and genuine perspectives, not AI. Every word and insight you read is authentically mine, driven by my commitment to provide honest feedback.
