We had this food truck at the office today and it was one of the BEST food truck experiences I have ever had! The guys who run this truck are great and the food is DELICIOUS. You get a good portion of everything: hot dogs, fries, AND free refills if you're near the truck for a certain amount of time. I ordered their classic hot dog with cheese and made it a combo (fries + drink); SO good. The hot dogs are tough skin and have that pop when you bite into it; fries had a cajun type seasoning which the whole office ended up eating too because they were so yummy and the health portion. A bit costly for what you get. Burgers are on the smaller side for the price, I got the Chipotle burger which had good flavor, wasn't dry although it was cooked well (would've like to have the option of how my meet was cooked), the Mrs had the caprese which the burger was dry and burnt, the looked mozzarella it was graded on the smallest side of a cheese grater and had a pre shredded consistency (should have been real/fresh mozzarella). Aside from getting a lot, the fries were kind of sad, no real flavor even with their special seasoning on them. Surprisingly enough my daughter's basic plain hotdog was really good. Had a nice snap, and a sort of sweetness to it and the bun was more like a sandwich role. I think it's cool they had their own soda/ice dispenser. read more

Most flavorful hot dog I've ever had. Caught this truck at the Bruery on a Saturday. Needs no toppings, though those are quite nice. Sauerkraut is not soggy. Actually this is the first sauerkraut I've ever had. Hope to see this truck here more often. Five thumbs up. read more

Order hot dog and fries. It was on the expensive side but larger serving. My hot dog was dry but with a lot of flavor.

Chipotle peppers on a burger with pepper jack and aioli was ridiculously good. Burger was prepped perfectly medium and wing fries with Gorgonzola are what's making me want to take a nap right now. Food was excellent and did not take as long to prep as other trucks. Surprising since it was fresher and hotter than anything I've had from a truck. Loved it! read more

Tried this food truck recently, I wasn't very impressed. I ordered the bacon wrapped hotdog with the illusion it was going to be like an LA Street dog. The hotdog comes with grilled onions and jalapeños. I asked the individual who took my order if the jalapeños were grilled in which he said yes. I got a fairly simple hotdog. Just ketchup, mayo and the toppings that it came with. After 10-12mins. I got my hotdog. First thing I noticed was that the jalapeños were not grilled. They were regular coin pickled jalapeños, I was kind of disappointed. Regardless, I didn't complain because it's jalapeños, whatever. Overall, the hotdog was tasty, hotdog to bun ratio was good. Decent size hotdog overall and the buns had a cute little mustache on it. Don't know if I'll try the hotdog again, possibly a different dish. read more

This is by far my favorite food truck that comes to our apartment complex. I always get the chicken dog and wing fries. My husband likes the regular hot dog. The food is delicious and the price is super reasonable for a food truck. For $8, I get what other food trucks charge $12. The guy at the register is super friendly, even knows me by name. Papa Dad's has some of the best quality good I've ever tasted. The Margarita Hot Wings are delicious. The sauce is not to hot and not to mild; with just the right amount of crunch to them. My favorite thing here is the Wing Fries, the mixture of wing sauce, ranch and blue cheese crumbles is amazing. The employees are very nice to the customers. I happened to see these guys at last year's Long Beach Pride, and was super disappointed I didn't see them again this year! I don't eat meat, but these guys offered to make me a grilled cheese sandwich, since they didn't have any veggie options available. I gotta say, I've had a few trucks that specialize in grilled cheese, and the one these guys whipped up was bar far one of the best! This is true, AWESOME customer service!!! The guys were super nice and helpful! My buddy got the pizza dog, and was raving about how great the sausage was and was pretty impressed with how fresh and quality their ingredients were. You could tell that the mozzarella was fresh, and not that pre-shredded junk. Same with the basil -- it was freshly cut, and super flavorful! He was raving about it so much, I was tempted to go back and get a meatless version of it! Sadly, I missed an opportunity, because I haven't seen them since. I tried this food truck all the way in aliso viejo yesterday. I say all the way because I work in irvine. But I'm trying as many food trucks as I can and this one has been on my radar. They have a good variety of hot dogs, burgers and wings. I tried the German which is a brat with sauerkraut, candied onions and mustard. Their website says it's a specialty mustard and it was pretty tasty. It was a brown mustard with a tiny bit of spice. I was hoping there would be a little more sauerkraut because I'm a fan. The bun seemed a little bland. But all and all the taste was perfect. I had a half order of fries as well. The fries had a little of their special seasoning which I can't exactly put my finger on the taste. It was borderline gingery with some maybe oregano mixed it in. Whatever it was it was tasty.
