The default burger is the namesake and it comes loaded with grilled onions and a tremendous sharp cheddar cheese beautifully melted. Outstanding guys! It was hard to choose initially because the bacon wrapped hotdog sounded fantastic, the all beef build your own dog was equally intriguing, especially since the options were so plentiful! A German-style Brat was another possibility and it was loaded with sauerkraut and other goodies. Why spend $9 on a burnt, tiny, disappointing hot dog from a food truck when you can go to Costco and spend $1.50 on one that is similar size, tastes better, and comes with a drink? This truck was outside my work yesterday, and I REALLLLLY wanted to try the Pizza Dog. They didnt have it though, BUMMER! I ended up with the bacon wrapped dog, and some wing fries, no cheese. The hot dog was good, much bigger than the bun, but it was still good. I added ketchup, pickles, and onions. The wing fries were good as well, but definitely could have used a side of wing cause for dipping for that extra wing tanginess. They were a little late setting up the truck, and opened about 15 minutes late which put a bit of a dent in our lunch hour as we were outside waiting. I hate to do this, but these guys get one star. I love a good german bratwurst with mustard and kraut, but the offering from this truck was a disappointment. Bland flavored sausage, soggy, dense bun and I couldn't tell if the sausage had been grilled or boiled. No bueno. Got the chance to try Papa Dad's on Sunday @ Bottle Logic Brewing in Anaheim. My first impression of the truck was that they keep that thing CLEAN! Not only the exterior, but you could also see into the kitchen and they kept that clean as well! That kind of attention to detail, always peaks my interest in what they had to offer. Food wise I had the German Brat, and my girlfriend had the Caprice burger, we split both which was hard because they looked so good. The brat was PHENOMENAL. The sausage was cooked perfectly over a grill, leaving great char marks for extra flavor, the casing had a wonderful snap to it, and the sauerkraut was divine. The Burger was awesome, I asked them for a medium burger (the way it should be), just in case they cooked medium well / well, and they gave me a perfectly cooked burger, nice and pink on the inside so it was super juicy. The balsamic glaze they used on the burger was what made the sandwich for me, WOW. The mozzarella cheese was shredded, but if you look at the melt you can tell it was real cheese. All in all the truck was clean, the food had great flavor,and was cooked perfectly. The menu was well thought out, and they even brought my food into the bar for me, you cant ask for much more. I really get excited when I see there menu and find exotic items like Camel or a Gator dogs long with there normal items. So I had to try the Gator dog. Every Wednesday night a different Food Truck pulls into my complex at Villa Siena Apartment Homes and tonight was a pleasant surprise. The wait was longer than usual as the person taking your order was also the cook. The wait wasn't so bad as they have a satellite television on the side of the truck that was showing a baseball game. The chicken wings are a must, as they have the right amount of heat to make them mouthwatering. My sister had a bacon wrapped hot dog which was better than any LA street vendor. I had a bratwurst which was served in a King's Hawaiian roll which was a nice change up than a regular hot dog bun. For the esthetics of the truck, how fancy it looks and how much work it looked like they put in to, I am confused why they didn't put as much effort into the quality of their actual food. Chipotle burger is $8 and it comes with nothing. The burger is on the small side and any semi intelligent person can tell it is a frozen beef patty. It is shaped absolutely perfect like it came out of a box of Tom's frozen patties and has zero flavor to it. The guy who cooked the burger must have no culinary experience, let alone experience in a kitchen at home in general. The burger was extremely overcooked and dry, and the meat was slightly grey inside which was concerning to me. I thought also that the Chipotle burger would have a kick to it but the flavors were non existent. It wasn't even spicy in the slightest bit. Two thumbs way down for this, especially because it is $8 and doesn't even come with fries. You can go to In N Out and get a burger fresh that's made to order with a side of fries for less than $6. Pathetic. My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken Dog, a side of fries, and the Margarita wings. As for the Margarita wings, those were actually pretty tasty. They had a nice spice to them, nothing too overpowering though. They were also fried nicely and had a nice crunch on the outside. This was a nice sigh of relief since the burger was horrific. The french fries were french fries. Not hand cut, and had a small amount of seasoning on them which was tasty for the few fries that were seasoned. The Buffalo Chicken Dog yet again held similar disappointment as the burger, and did not deliver. The slaw that was on top looked like it was not thrown together beforehand to allow the ingredients to marry in order to give it that special slaw taste. It was more like just chopped carrots and celery sprinkled on the top. Also, it is advertised on their website that the dog has crumbled blue cheese on it. They must have fell short on supply cause the dog we got had Gorgonzola cheese which did NOT accompany the rest of the dog well. Overall, for 1 hotdog, 1 burger, 1 french fry, and 1 order of wings we spent $26 and it was totally not worth it. The best part of this experience were the wings. I have read other Yelp reviews and people had complained about the lack of friendliness and customer experience. I did not have an issue with ordering, the wait was all of 10 minutes or less after placing the order to receive food, and the guys manning the truck were polite. I am rating this truck 2 stars because the customer service was friendly and the wings were palatable. It was not good enough to come back though unfortunately. The price is too high for a quality that is too low. A friendly tip to the owners of the truck: quality quality quality! Get back in the kitchen and do some taste testing with your items. High prices and low quality food may be working okay right now, but it wont keep you alive forever. I see the passion in the outside of your truck, and I wish I saw it where it really counts, the inside. read more

Had the burger and a half order of fries. The burger was extremely small and plain. The fries were not very good, and there were very few of them. I must have got the end of the bag because they were all little tiny things. I feel like they were frozen fries heated up in a toaster oven. Unlike the fries, the quality of the burger was ok, just not enough food for the price.. The service was not very good. Apparently they do not provide napkins or condiments unless requested, but they turn around to ignore you as soon as they hand you the food. It's very confusing reading all of the other reviews in contrast to my own experience but I think what it comes down to is burgers vs everything else on their menu. This food truck came to my apartment building for our weekly food truck night. My girlfriend ordered the caprese burger and I ordered the cheese burger with cheddar (because how can you mess that up)? Well, I walked my dog while the girlfriend placed the order. When I returned nearly 10 minutes later she still had not been able to place the order even though there was no line. After about 5 minutes of standing there she was finally able to while I stood back with the dog. She came back and asked me if I wanted anything else on the burger and I said "well, just cheddar, lettuce, and tomato." She goes back to tell them and they let her know that they are out of lettuce. How do you not have lettuce when you have just arrived to serve an apartment building for the next two hours with burgers on the menu? Another 10 minutes or so goes by and they call her up not to give her the food, but to inform her that they are also out of cheddar cheese! At that point I would have asked for my money back but I was already so damn hungry. I finally get my burger that looks like it's on a Fuddrucker's bun (I used to work there many years ago and they DO sell the buns to the public), it's a plain looking patty that was way overcooked, cheese, and a slice of tomato. The girlfriend's caprese burger was about the same except with mozzarella and a minuscule amount of shredded basil. If it were just our burgers that contributed to the bad experience it would have gotten three stars giving them the benefit of the doubt. The lack of communication, preparedness, and waiting, on top of the awful burger lost that third star. The second star only remains because I assume the rest of their menu must be decent looking at everyone's reviews but I will say that the dogs didn't look impressive at all, in fact they looked very dried up and overcooked. read more

A pretty solid, pretty 'basic' food truck. Not that basic is a bad thing, but these guys do burgers, fries, wings and meat in tube form. Sweet and spicy wings were the hit for us the night we had these guys. Definitely know how to make a solid wing. I also really liked the fries with the seasoning they put on them. Burger was good as well. Unfortunately I cannot for the life of me remember what kind we got! We had these guys a long time ago and they are just now showing up on Yelp. We had this food truck at the office today and it was one of the BEST food truck experiences I have ever had! The guys who run this truck are great and the food is DELICIOUS. You get a good portion of everything: hot dogs, fries, AND free refills if you're near the truck for a certain amount of time. I ordered their classic hot dog with cheese and made it a combo (fries + drink); SO good. The burger was ok, it was actually cooked nicely (still juicy) but it was lacking any real flavor and defiantly not worth the $8 (there's a local burger joint that serves freshly ground angus burgers for $6). Tried this food truck recently, I wasn't very impressed. I ordered the bacon wrapped hotdog with the illusion it was going to be like an LA Street dog. The hotdog comes with grilled onions and jalapeños. I asked the individual who took my order if the jalapeños were grilled in which he said yes. I got a fairly simple hotdog. Just ketchup, mayo and the toppings that it came with. After 10-12mins. I got my hotdog. First thing I noticed was that the jalapeños were not grilled. They were regular coin pickled jalapeños, I was kind of disappointed. Regardless, I didn't complain because it's jalapeños, whatever. Overall, the hotdog was tasty, hotdog to bun ratio was good.
