2.5 stars The garlic bread and sauce wasn't edible. The pizzas barely had toppings. No ricotta on the anniversary pie to speak of. Meat lovers was far from lovers of meat. The sauce on the pizzas was odd in flavor. The meatballs were nothing special. Overall for the price it's not worth it. Businesses sure take advantage of tourists with their prices. This pizza definitely isn't your classic New York slice. It actually reminds me a bit of Chuck E. Cheese pizza, but in the best possible way! The crust is super soft and chewy and the whole pie just hits the spot when you're craving something comforting and nostalgic. We were visiting LBI for the day, cold, hungry, and craving seafood. My finance picked Panzone's and we came inside. The layout of the restaurant was nice and comfortable, our service was excellent. Our waiter, Brandon was beyond friendly and courteous. The prices were definitely higher than anticipated, even for an ala carte kids pizza, and appetizers, but the quality of the food was very good. Fiancé got stacked eggplant and baratta (?), my older son got shrimp and scallop scampi, and I got the broiled seafood dinner. They both very much enjoyed their food. Big bowl of pasta with the scampi. Her two appetizers were so well plated and delicious. I also ordered bacon wrapped scallops which, while small and few (4), delicious. My issue came with the fish and shrimp in my dish. My broccoli was so flavorful, but my fish and shrimp were very dry, tough even. The "sauce" for the broiled dish was very light, not very buttery or garlicky. Anyway! Couple other things we thought might've been good with the meal would've been a little bit of bread to go with like the scampi sauce, etc., or some Parmesan for the scampi. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Panzone's Catering for my son's backyard beach wedding this past weekend in Beach Haven Gardens, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about them. From the very beginning, Todd, Jillian, Kristen, Joyce, and the entire wait staff were phenomenal. They went above and beyond--thinking through every little detail from start to finish--and made the day incredibly special. They were responsive, organized, and full of helpful suggestions that guided us throughout the planning process. Their professionalism and experience really put my mind at ease, and because of them, I was able to fully relax and enjoy the day knowing everything was in the best hands. Pizza is horrible! Complete Garbage!!! I have been going to panzones since it opened In the 80s, Over the past Decade the pies have gotten progressively worse. Such a shame. This past visit was our last until I see a sign stating new owners!!! One large plain, One large pepperoni, one Farmers salad.., $82!!!! For trash pizza. Salad was palatable. We were so thoroughly disappointed by our visit to Panzones this year. My husband has been eating here for 40 years and a dinner at Panzones is part of every annual visit to LBI. This year may be our last year. We realize prices have gone up everywhere but the rate of increase at Panzones since last years is out of control. $19 for a personal pizza that was so small it amounted to two regular slices of pizza - I ordered the mikes hot honey pizza and somehow they forgot the hot honey. There was so little cheese on the pizza it was basically just bread with pepperoni. Salads started at $24 that was often without any protein. Penne alla vodka was $30. This isn't some fancy 5 start restaurant it's a pizzeria. Though you wouldn't know it was a pizzeria given they fail to mention you can order a traditional pizza on their menu. I remember when there was always a wait to eat in here now we just walked in and the place was empty. The cost of eating at what is now sub-par restaurant will continue to drive customer's away. read more

Nothing to say here, place has been around a long time and they have a captive audience so quality is not the focus it seems. Pizza was dripping oil reminiscent of the Exxon Valdez. They are quick to make their pie for pick-up because the pies are made and heated. If not for the pepperoni, the pizza lacked any flavor and was on par with store bought frozen pizza. If you need to fill your belly and are desperate because of the munchies maybe after a drinking binge this place is for you. Crust was nothing special so have to give them a 1. This review is for the catering ...we sampled a meal and it was fine so we went ahead and ordered a tray of Salmon and Brussels sprouts and it was not very good. The Brussels sprouts were completely raw and not cooked at all. Not what we had signed up for. The seafood tower we also ordered was good but they forgot to use crushed ice in the trays. Been here a couple of times recently and something curious is going on. Both times we dined in the restaurant. The dine in menu does not list a traditional, straight up pizza. It only lists "signature pizza" and a (not so) large is $35! You can order a regular pizza but we had to ask. Interesting. And what I really didn't like is that the large traditional pie cost more because we were dining in. $28 to eat it there; $22 had I ordered it to go. Huh. Can't say I've ever seen that before. Pizza was not for me. Very doughy; no crisp at all; little taste. Mussels and meatballs apps were good. Atmosphere was a tad bit nicer than your standard pizzeria. Wrapping up an afternoon of brewery hopping, my bro and I decided to get something to eat and, while in the area, we decided to stop at Panzone's Pizza & Pasta. There is no indoor dining here only take-out and outdoor, and we choose the latter. The food was very good, not excellent. Overpriced for what it was. I think places that have to be BYOB try to make it up on the food. I ordered the Vodka Chicken Parm last night and on the menu it was 32, which is high in general but i figured, whatever, vacation place pricing. The chicken was ok, it was more like a Perdue chicken patty, not really a chicken cutlet. Upon looking at the bill after we left, we were charged 37 dollars because i asked for some vegetables instead of pasta. Service was good, i just felt like it was a lot for what it was. read more

Stopped in to Panzones for a quick bite on the way home from LBI. We ordered sandwiches at the outdoor counter from one of their friendly staff. Visited here for the first time in LBI, been down here 12 years and never tried this place. Location is off main drag in Beach Haven near Bay Village and it is quite a large place. Looked like it was pretty busy and looked like the locals liked it. There is take out and pizza, pasta and all sorts of specialties. The service here is friendly and fast and the dining area is plenty large. We ordered some pizza and chicken parm and also pasta and it was delicious. Sangria was tasty as well and they have a nice wine selection and also some beers. Prices are just right and what you would expect. We will definitely come back! read more

Unfortunately we ordered pizza on Thursday 5/12/22 at their Beach Haven location. We always loved their pizza but the pizza was very thin, dry, very little sauce and and the mozzarella was scarce. The pie was half veggie and half regular. The veggies were also spread very thin. There was no taste either. So disappointing. We were charged $25. Empty restaurant Saturday afternoon in August. Perhaps everyone was still on the beach. Very cute inside. Ordered one chicken parm and one chicken vodka parm. Both came out with cold pasta. Not even warm. It was promptly addressed by the nice waitress. We had to ask for bread. It was not very good. For the dinners I ordered the vodka parm and it was very very creamy. The sauce kind of had an off taste. Perhaps too much basil. The actual chicken cutlets were very nicely crisp and moist. I tried the red sauce and was not a fan of that either. Each dish was $30 and there wasn't a ton of pasta but both dishes were served with 2 medium size cutlets that were tasty. Overall not impressed and will not rush back. Our hosts put in a large order that included pizza, pasta, chicken Parmesan, peppers and sausage, risotto with blackened mahi-mahi--and more. My review is only on the items I had: the risotto with blacked mahi-mahi and the sausage and peppers. The fish was the driest piece of fish I've ever had. It was overly seasoned and tough. Totally enjoyed their food at the SCYC Burgee last night! Their food was absolutely amazing! I had what I think they called the SCYC Special Chicken Sandwich...lightly breaded succulent Chicken Breast, Provolone Cheese, the best ever Long Hots & more. The six of us decided to go out for pizza, so we looked at reviews of pizza places on the island. Our first choice was Bay Village but they had no table service and we didn't want to wait in the long line to order so we went with the second highest Yelp rated which was Panzones. We were greeted by friendly staff and were seated. Service was fine and fast. We ordered Bavarian pretzels for appetizer. A portion of 6 pretzels and some cheese sauce came out and was very good. The menu said a small 12" pizza was $27 (a little crazy to me but the waiter confirmed this) and a large was only a dollar more at $28 so we ordered 3 large pizzas. One plain, one half plain, half chicken and the last was half black olives and half margherita. Pizza came out in a timely manner, it did look very good, but looks can be deceiving. The large size was definitely smaller than your normal Jersey pizza shops. No need to fold slices here. The crust was soft and not crispy at all. The sauce tasted like dominoes and the soft, puffy, undercooked crust also reminded me a lot of dominoes pizza which I am not a fan. The kids didn't seem to mind it, said it was ok. I was extremely disappointed and only ate one slice even though I was hungry. I can honestly say being raised on good jersey pizza, this is one of the worse pizzas I've had in a long time. I literally would have rather had a digiorno (yeah, I went there) What added to my already ruined dinner, was knowing the bill was on its way after we finished. Yep, $95 for 3 pizzas and 6 drinks !! (4 of them waters) not including tip. Yes this was very much over a $100 pizza dinner. Understand, if this was an excellent pizza or even a really good pizza, I wouldn't have care about the price at all. Just sucks to pay so much for such flavorless pizza. read more

This place was amazing, this is the first time in a while that i gave my compliments to the chef. A unique arrangement of flavor with incredible materials such as perfectly made mozzarella sticks and the best pasta i've had in a long long time. This Panzone's is located very close to the amusement park and shops. Our server was awesome - very helpful and friendly. My husband and I shared the red wine sangria to start. It was decent.
