I kept hearing such amazing reviews on Facebook I had to give it a shot for delivery on a lazy day. We ordered the Greek salad that I was pleasantly surprised was very good and fresh with the house dressing,they didn't have Greek dressing.The Grandma pie was definitely not what I expected, usually when I have had Grandma's it's been a thick crust this was a thin crust but extremely heavy.It seemed they used two different kinds of mozzarella cheese fresh and the shredded tons of sauce that was tasty and the basil tasted fresh.I would probably try a regular pie next time,it was just too heavy for us.When I called to place my order the lady was extremely pleasant.Delivery was quick and smooth...Will definitely try it again. read more

The staff was beyond friendly and happy to answer any catering question, they even happily worked through timing and ordering suggestions based on my guest count. Came across their page on IG and was impressed by the different styles of specialty pies they were displaying. They are almost 20 mins from my house so figured for a special occasion it would be worth the hike for a pie and for Valentines Day got the heart shaped penne vodka pie with the garlic knot border. That pizza went down fast in the first round. Absolutely delicious !!! Probably worthy of the top 5 pizza designation. Celiac here, I generally stay away from pizza places, as I have worked in them for years and know how they make pizza. They use the sauce ladle to spread the sauce on the dough, they put their flour-covered hands all in the cheese, everything is just covered in flour. To me, it has always seemed like a recipe for disaster. Last night I was feeling brave, and I ordered a gluten free pizza with black olives from Pies On Nine South. It was delicious and I feel great! I asked the women who answered the phone, if it was possible for them to use cheese from a fresh bin. She assured me that it would be no problem, and that she will make sure to tell the pizza man. I'm extremely thankful that I was able to feel some sort of normalcy for the first time since my diagnosis. It truly means the world, and I would highly recommend Pies On Nine South. I also got a gluten feee penne vodka dish from them this past Christmas and I also had no issues. It's truly a sigh of relief when you find a place that you can trust. read more

Been looking high and low for a decent pizza place and being from Brooklyn NY I'm sort of a pizza snob. Well I think I found my go to place for a nice pie. Last week I had a simple lg round pie with sausage. Now everyone out here in Jersey uses crumbled sausage so I asked the girl taking the order if they use the crumble and she said yes, I asked if they could use sliced instead and she replied no problem. The pie came hot and fresh. Sausage was also fresh. Crust was good and under carriage was brown to perfection. Good pie. Last night we had a few ppl over so we ordered a sicillian pie with sliced sausage, a Margareta pie, chicken alla prosciutto, chicken caprese and fingers with fries. The Sicilian was what I was looking for with perfect amount of cheese and sauce ( I hate a drenched pie) and the crust was that old school olive oil tasting crust that frys up a little when cooked and has that great taste. PERFECT...A 10. The Margareta pie was made with fresh mozzarella and topped with fresh basil. Another great pie. The two chicken dishes were cooked great, good taste and perfect seasoning. Chicken was quality chicken and not that wood chicken you sometimes can get. And the chicken fingers were good. 5 decent sized pics with enough fries for two. Now my compliments to the owners and staff and please don't change a thing.... well maybe one thing, the bread is a little to mushy for me not a true hero bread but I guess it's better than hard bread. But I like a hero bread that can hold up to sauce or a cheese steak. Everything else was on point including Olivia the girl taking the order who was listening and repeated the order back perfect. I've only had takeout from here. I ordered three times before writing this review. The first time I was blown away because my pizza was so delicious. I ordered a chicken parm and a rainbow pie. Both were fantastic. They have a great variety of specialty pizzas and toppings to choose from. I couldn't wait to order again. The next time I ordered an eggplant pie and and paid extra for balsamic glaze. They forgot to add the glaze, so that was a disappointment. I didn't bother calling because they were going to close and I had already waited for my order to be delivered. It was more that I was looking forward to having it on the pie because I love it. I ordered again hoping nothing would go wrong. On that order I added extra cheese. I had it delivered. When I opened the box about a third of the cheese had slid to the corner of the box. It was still piping hot. Again, it was disappointing. I did the best I could as far as rearranging the cheese. I didn't call to complain because I didn't want to get the delivery person in trouble. Plus, I don't know if he was handed it that way or what happened before it got to me. So, the pizza that I've ordered has been hit or miss for different reasons. I switched from my old preferred pizza place to Linda's about two years ago. I have always found their pizza and Stromboli's to be very good. I also like the extra large size pizza. HOWEVER, the last two consecutive times I have ordered there I was really disappointed. The first was a really badly burned Stromboli (on the bottom), and the following week the Stromboli was fine, but the pizza was REALLY BADLY BURNED (almost crusted black) on the bottom. As pizzas go, Linda's is pretty decent, especially for the area. It won't be winning any awards, but it meets the need! Decor: The place is more suited for take-out or delivery (and they are pretty good about getting to most places within 30 to 40 minutes), but it is your basic pizzeria. Four or five booths that seat four people a piece and that's about it. Service: Nice. Friendly. Warm. I find both the people working the pizzeria and the delivery people to be generally decent and polite. Food: Pizza: I've had a bunch of different pizzas from them and they were all in the "pretty good" category. Some of their white pizzas or stranger combinations were actually better than "pretty good", but they've also had a couple of flops especially if I just swing by for a slice and have to pick up something that's been lying around for a few hours. Their calzones rock, especially their "steak cheese" ones--even a "medium" can feed two to three people, while a large meets the needs of an army...or at least a small gang. Also really enjoy their cheese steaks, especially their "special" (which is loaded with onions, peppers and mushrooms), and their California (which has lettuce, tomatoes and onions). On the other hand, their pastas and appetizers aren't anything to write home about. Their pastas are generally passable in a pinch, but nothing more--I've tried a variety of them and nothing stands out as special or exceptional. Same with their mozzarella sticks and I plain just don't like their buffalo wings, which I find to be too small and their sauce lacking. But I do like their fried mushrooms.
