So so so so disappointed :( I love this place but will not be returning after my most recent visit. Three days ago I called in for an order for pick up, I always get the fresh tofu rolls and have called multiple times before for them, and when I got there they accidentally made me the fried spring rolls. I kindly asked if we could redo the order because I already paid the $15.30 for them and the woman behind the register very rudely said no and that she "confirmed" with me on the phone that I wanted the spring rolls. Obviously there was a miscommunication, but I always get the fresh tofu rolls so I know that is what I said over the phone. She was telling me that this was my mistake and that she couldn't just switch out the spring rolls for the tofu rolls EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE THE SAME PRICE and the tofu rolls are pre-made all you have to do is pull them out of the fridge. I ended up paying another $15.30 for the tofu rolls. When ringing up my new order she threw them in a bag and didn't say anything to me as she handed me the rolls. I didn't get a sorry or have a good day as I was leaving either. I always go to Panwa if I'm craving Thai but after my experience I will not be returning unfortunately read more

Ordered food and a Thai Ice Tea. They did not deliver the drink, no biggie I thought. I foolishly assumed they would make it right for their customer. Not only did they refuse to bring me the tea( THEY had forgot)but they did not issue a refund. I opened my bag and there were neither utensils nor napkins. I expect that from McDonald's but not an establishment that claims to be a actual restaurant. Save your money. I just recently moved to the SU area and found this place within walking distance from my home. The food is great! Not too oily and just the right amount of food to satisfy. The service is on par too and relatively lower prices than other Thai joints nearby in Capital Hill. Very nice and accomodating host/servers. Recently opened Thai restaurant operated by a Thai family. The mom is the Chef who cooks very delicious food, and her daughters are the servers. They are very attentive and eager to please you. They take suggestions and are willing to make special orders. Tried the Panang Curry with beef and it had a delicious flavor, with a nice balance of spiciness. The Pahd-See-Ew was also excellent. Right across from Sullivan School of Law at SU, as a future law student, I'm going to have to be cautious. This place is marvelous. While still under construction, its clean and bright ambiance makes up for it. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food tastes like the street fare on the streets of Bangkok (but presented much more elegantly), and it is delicious. The rice was steamed to perfection, my green curry had just the right amount of coconut, and their pad thai is of the strong, pungent variety (That's authentic, folks.). I really hope they continue in the same vein. My teensiest complaint is that I ordered a 5 on the spice scale, and it was more like a 3. Next time I'll ask for a 7. Ha. read more

So I'm really excited about this place. It recently moved in across the street from Seattle U (so really convenient) and replaced the old run-down teriyaki place that used to be there. When I first went in there, I was impressed at how much the place has transformed. Instead of it being dingy and ratty like the teriyaki place was, I was greeted with a modern, beautiful room. I went to order some food to-go with my colleague. The cashier was really friendly, and she seemed surprised when I ordered the spiciest level they had. They had lots of great lunch combo options for great prices, and you get a variety of things. However, I simply opted to get their pad see ew lunch combo with beef, and it came with rice and a spring roll. If you are eating in, it also comes with soup. When I took a bite of the pad see ew, my first thought was that it could be seasoned more. Don't get me wrong, it was good - it just could have packed more flavor (maybe some more soy sauce?). Also, mine had a nice kick, although I would not have qualified that as a 5-spice kick. Beef tasted good. The spring roll was AWESOME. Hot, fresh, crispy, and the flavor was amazing. My co-worker also got the pad see ew combo and she also ordered extra spring rolls on the side (which she shared with me, so I was extra happy about that). Overall, we agreed that the food was good - not the best to where I would rave to everyone, but not the worst where I feel like I'd never go back. Went to go order something online from them and 10 minutes later they send me a text saying they are too busy to take orders and they cancelled my food. What is the difference between ordering online and walking in and ordering something because you would still have to make my food if I decided to come in. You can't just tell someone no, we're too busy go away. I ordered from here through UberEATS. The food arrived warm even though our driver took longer than estimated to get to us. The chicken pad Thai was good and I would order it again. Portion was normal sized (enough for 3-4 servings; i.e., it filled the to go container) and there was a lot of chicken (seems like most places skimp on the protein but this place didn't). However, the two chicken entrees I ordered had skimpy portion sizes. The orange chicken barely filled half the container (it was enough for 2 people though, considering we shared this food family style). Also, it was very tough chicken -- I'm pretty sure it was a day old and possibly microwaved. Sauce had good flavor, but I wouldn't order this again. The spicy basil chicken had a great flavor and lots of veggies. Less chicken than the pad Thai had, even though it's a chicken entree (vs a noodle dish), so that was unusual and disappointing. These guys have good Thai food that is flavorful, robust, and diverse. The kingpin of them all is the Pad Thai, of course, and I can say that they do a great job on not just this dish, but all of the dishes I've tried. Just to note, the times that I've gotten the 1-star Pad Thai were inferior to the times that I've gotten the 2-star Pad Thai. I'm assuming they put more sauce in the 2-star than the 1-star (to make it spicier), so if you're getting Pad Thai, go for 2 stars or up. Other than that, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly. Although I can say that a few items such as some appetizers and extras/sides are priced high, most of their main dishes and main menu in general have reasonable prices. Notably, their takeout service is VERY fast, with the usual wait time on a take out dish or two ranging from just 5 minutes to 15 minutes at the very most (and quality is not sacrificed for this efficiency either). read more
