No longer the flying tortilla, it is now the pantry villa. Must say the food and service is great here. Ordered the country breakfast and enjoyed the biscuits and gravy the most. Coffee was good, needed it early in the morning. They open at 7, to me late. I am usually on the road someplace by 6. Maybe the word has not gotten out as there are no a lot of customers and the food was good. There is a TV showing local news early so I can tell the weather for the day. read more

Birthday brunch!! This place was soo good!! Haven't been here in years, but the chile is authentic New Mexican, the menu is vast whether you're craving sweet or savory. Also, they've added some beer and cocktails to the mix, just in case you want to spice up your experience. Great service, our server was attentive even though it was poppin on a Sunday morning. The ambiance is very homey and local, there's Santa Fe memorabilia all over the walls. Can't wait to come back! read more

On a road trip, passing thru, friend suggested this spot for good New Mexico food. Ordered a strawberry margarita and the Adovado burrito with both red and red sauce, "Christmas". Delicious chunks of pork, spicy good! Friendly staff, good local casual vibe. read more

Not a bad place if you want to get a quick breakfast. The food wasn't bad, and it was also affordable. This place looks like a diner and feels likes one. The service was a little strange. Got the food on-time, but when I was trying to pay, noone was around. Not sure if they were short-handed, but I had to wait awhile before someone noticed that I was at the register. read more

I was so hungry I forgot to take photos! So sorry. But know that all four of us cleaned our plates. Chicken enchilada with green chile, ground beef enchiladas with red chile, carne asada plate and the brisket plate all had just the right amount of heat. The staff were helpful and very attentive. As luck would have it, we came on Thursday night, the night a Mariachi band performed. They were amazing. We had a delicious dinner AND a wonderful show. read more

It's been a while since we have been to the Flying Tortilla Cafe, and we were pleasantly surprised with the great improvements. The dining room has been renovated and brightened. It's really warm and inviting. Staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I enjoyed a blue corn piñon pancake that was packed with buttery piñon nuts. My husband had the Denver omelette that was so big, he took half home to enjoy the next day. We also enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the cheerful music. A great experience! read more

I like to try NM restaurants that I have never been to before while visiting "home". Met an old high school friend here for dinner around 6pm on Saturday. We were the first customers and were quite shocked as everyone must've been out shopping or didn't want to be out due to the cold weather. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. As for the food, it wasn't bad but it wasn't excellent either. Portion sizes were very generous though. I ordered a stuffed sopaipilla with ground beef and red chile. There was too much ground beef and not enough red chile so it was somewhat dry. The chile was rather bland and it was not spicy at all. One friend ordered the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with country gravy and veggies. My other friend ordered huevos rancheros and both said their plates were ok but lacking flavor. One of my friends and I had their house agave margaritas but there was nothing special about them and didn't have a "kick" to it. As for the dining area, plenty of seating and very open and airy, which I liked. Plenty of parking as well. read more

We really enjoyed our brunch here! The pancakes are amazing, Corned beef was very good (of course there has to be avocado and chu Lula involved for me)! The biscuit was very hard but they replaced it with a very delicious replacement biscuit, and the gravy had GREAT flavor! There was no wait, very casual and very attentive staff! We would definitely recommend having breakfast/brunch here! Seriously. Try the pancakes! read more

After spending the morning at Meow Wolf, we went to the Flying Tortilla for lunch. We all had their lunch special, which today was a Navaho taco. Two of us had the ground beef version and one of us had the chicken version. The fry bread component was very good which is a significant part of a Navaho taco. We enjoyed both the beef and chicken version. The service provided to us was excellent. Diner atmosphere. read more

The service and the food are both outstanding! The flavors were amazing. We would definitely go back to the Flying Tortilla! A plus on this one! The restaurant had a nice cozy vibe too although they stayed packed. They're THAT popular! read more

We stopped in on the way out of town at the flying tortilla. It was our first time. The place was a bit slow, but they were also closing early for the 4th. My husband and I scanned the menu and I chose the flying T burger smothered in red Chile. My husband chose the tortilla burger smothered in Christmas. They both lacked salt, but the portions were very fair for the price. The fries were super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which we really enjoy. We wished our server had come by to serve us more ice tea, but that did not happen. Our food did come out quick. We can say we tried this restaurant, we probably will not be back as we have other favorites that rank higher. read more

I'm not gonna rant with this one, it's simple, Flying Tortilla is nasty. The tables were greasy, the "waitress" was rude and incompetent and the food is inedible. Never going back again! I suggest you avoid this place like the plague. read more

We stopped in after a while on the road because it was close to our hotel. The friendliest wait staff! They made room for us on the patio even though it wasn't open yet for the season so we could bring our dog, and we're all just so nice and attentive. We had some drinks and the dip trio. So didja hear the one about the three brothers who entered a popular local eatery and left fully satisfied?! Your favorite Yelp Elite Correspondent here, doling out dispatches some 1,200+ miles east of Southern California as my brother and I are visiting our oldest brother in Santa Fe, NM. On morning number one, Steve brought us to the Flying Tortillas for a glimpse into the New Mexican approach towards breakfast. Steve, a Los Angeles transplant who emigrated to the Land of Enchantment several years ago, ordered a succulent pork chops slathered with crisp potato discs pan fried with chorizo and an over hard egg. Joe, the affable middle brother, opted for corned beef hash perched with an egg. All three of us were smacking our lips in jealous envy because our mother used to make an incredible corned beef hash dish for dinner twice monthly. Me? Seeking sustenance from the time and travel distance, I went super traditional and chose a tandem of pillowy puffy pancakes accompanied by an over hard egg and a crisp stalk of bacon. Our service was Amazon Prime quick and our server was outstanding. A glasses-wearing sweetheart who brightened our morning w/ her smile and whose cheerful demeanor had the tortillas flying. read more

After having the award winning Green Chile Clam Chowder at the Souper Bowl...I was willing to give the Flying Tortilla a second try. Its ambiance is somewhere between a diner and an institutional cafeteria. Seriously, dimming the lights and a few modest renovations would be so helpful for this spot. The food is just okay. There are dozens of spots in town that have better New Mexican fare. We recently had the margaritas with our meal, and mine was so sour I couldn't stand it. I paid for it and left a full glass of it. You'd think a waiter might notice, but they did not. I doubt I would ever come back. Sorry, but yeah, that soup was delicious. read more

TY @yelp for helping us discover the amazing @flyingtortillasantafe in beautiful Santa Fe, NM We only had a short time to spend in Santa Fe so we decided to taste the city and be amongst the people. Surprisingly, it felt and tasted a lot like home. Green and red chili (Christmas) sauce with my eggs? Yes, please! Tortillas instead of toast? Yes, please! Being welcomed by an all Latino staff...YES, PLEASE! This local favorite offers extremely reasonable prices, large portions, and HUGE flavor! When comparing their menu to a couple other local spots this place was priced about 2 to 3 dollars cheaper per plate. But I have to taste in the food I can tell you it's not because the quality is less. Everything was fresh and very delicious. The only regret we had was not having more time in Santa Fe. After breakfast we had a chance to visit the historic Santa Fe plaza. If you've never been, you need to go. We're already planning our trip back. Without first having a great experience at breakfast we probably wouldn't feel the same way. TY @yelp & @flyingtortillasantafe read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon with a large group of 8 and they seated us relatively quickly. They were very busy that day and it took an hour since we sat down to get our food but I chalk that up to the restaurant being so busy. Our waitress was very attentive and did their best i the circumstances. I got the corned beef hash which was delicious. It came with toast or biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a little watery but the flavor was good. We may not come again when they are so busy but not a bad stop. read more

My wife and I ate here this morning for breakfast. Overall I was underwhelmed. If you like average food at exorbitant cost, this is your place. I ordered bacon and eggs along with grits and toast. Mind you when I received it. There was only one piece of toast and a meager portion of eggs. my wife got an egg sausage and waffle plate, which had a lot bigger portions. However, the quality was a kin to a continental breakfast. The two plates along with a coffee and an iced tea and tip ran us about $40 read more

Lunch on Saturday with hubby. Has a small town diner feel. It was pretty busy and there was a line to be seated (we were seated within 5 mins of arriving). The staff were friendly. Our server was cool. He helped us with the menu. We wanted to try local dishes, so we ordered a frito pie and a sopapilla stuffed with chicken. Both were covered with the green chile sauce. The spice was an awsome burn, it's the kind that kicks in a few seconds late. Afterwards, you just want to keep eating because the flavor is so good. The frito pie was an odd thing, but the corn chips went perfectly with the beans and meat, after a while it started to taste like chili. The restaurant interior was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, would recommend this place. read more

It's nice that breakfast, lunch, and dinner is available all day. The staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered the brisket tacos and they were served with beans and rice. The brisket was tasty but I would have expected a few condiments to go with the brisket besides the ramekin of salsa and the shredded lettuce/diced tomato served on the side. My wife ordered chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. The toast was not buttered (unusual, right?). The steak was tougher than usual. Portions were good sized for both entrees. The waiter must be fairly new because he would be the one that was supposed to butter the toast. And as we went to pay, I saw that one of the specials was a 3 taco plate (brisket was one of three options) and it was $9.99. I paid $16.99 for a 2 taco plate. Seems the waiter should have mentioned the special, right? Nevertheless, I still give a 4 out of 5 overall and expect that our experience is not typical. read more
