Most of the time when I go into a restaurant, I leave unsatisfied, but here I was genuinely pleased with both my meal and the attention to detail in its preparation. They offer kids' meal options for under eight dollars with decent portions. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, with both indoor seating and open-air seating that provided a nice view outdoors. My entrée was smaller than I expected, but sometimes that can be a good thing, since it allows the chef to focus on perfecting the dish. Cute little breakfast spot with seating to accommodate larger parties. We were a party of 9 and had a short wait as well as quick service! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was great, between the 9 of us there was not one complaint. We tried breakfast scrambles, pancakes, burritos, and even chicken strips. My daughter and I were in Santa Fe and wanted to grab breakfast, so we looked up good breakfast spots, and this place came out so we decided to check it out. It was great!! Walking in the people were friendly and greeted you there was not a long wait even though it was busy. The food was great and the menu had great options. The place had great energy everyone there was happy workers and customers. I frequent this spot a few times a month because it's the closest to my job, but that doesn't mean it's the best. I hadn't eaten here in years and absolutely not at this newer location. I was really looking forward to my stuffed sopaipilla but it left me somewhat disappointed. Ordered a ground beef Xmas style stuffed sopa and it was very dry, almost as if they left it in the oven too long. Beans were also dry and not much flavor. Chips, guacamole, salsa, and queso were good. Sopaipillas were huge and good but my friend's was super greasy. Service could've also been better but they were fairly busy. We visited here last year, to rave reviews. Unfortunately, we were misled last year, and told that the beans were vegetarian. This year, we were told they had ham in them. Why places need to add meat to beans never makes sense. I only received one egg and one corn tortilla with my Huervos rancheros. That's pretty cheap. I didn't get much for my money. The line at the original Pantry was really long, so we drove the 13 minutes to Pantry Dos....good move on our part. We got in within 10 minutes and enjoyed a terrific meal. My hubby had the Rueben sandwich with the best fries. It seems like they are double fried, hot, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yummy. I had the salmon tacos, which was chunks of salmon lightly seasoned with in flavorful corn tortillas. The staff was kind, quick to grabs us drinks and take our order, but also did not bother us when we said we needed more time. We had the French toast and chilaquiles and were super happy with both. My husband got a spicy bloody, which he thoroughly enjoyed. It even came with its own slice of bacon, which is a nice touch. WoW !! We're traveling through United States but we're from San Diego so we know good Mexican food. THIS place is the best Mexican food I've ever had. Their salsa is soooo flavorful. We came in about 2 & was seated right away. The service were so sweet because I kept asking for stuff. The salsa was spicy to me so I had to drink milk. ‍ But I kept eating it and my breakfast burrito. My mouth was burning but I did NOT care. I than asked for some sour cream to put on my burrito. I had asked them to put the potatoes IN the burrito. Drool ! We actually got a quart of salsa to take home and we're going to cook pork in their salsa. I love this place! Everything from breakfast to dinner, NM & comfort food alike. I tried the chicken fried steak and was a tad disappointed. They use crushed crackers as their base for breading. It's a bit much and the steak wasn't all that thick to begin with. All the sides were great! My friend's pancakes were fluffy and pretty, but overcooked and chewy. I will say it was 30 min before closing and had never had a bad experience before. I'll be back for sure, just won't repeat my last orders. read more

Excellent, excellent, came by this place largely by accident, it is very well hidden, far enough from the plaza and Cerrillos Rd. to make it a very local eatery. The place has been open about 6 yrs now, the service is ok some what fractured but sincere. You can tell there has been a lack of customer service training here but otherwise ok. The real star is the food no foo foo pretentious pretty plate food but honest homegrown grub. One of the few places where the chix fried steak is from fresh cubed steak, breaded, and chicken fried. The bkfst burrito was savory and well constructed, the red chili regular and gluten free was on point, tickled ever so slightly as it went down leaving a tingle on the lips. The bacon was of the very best quality, a the Rancheros had no complaints around the table. The coffee was ok could have been served hotter, it looses temp when transferred to a cool container and then brought to the table, fix that and you're batting a 100. No even 2 mins later, they came to get us! We were seated on the patio, which was more like a lanai with the screens. The breeze was perfect! Corned beef was my choice. Holy moly, the plate of food, it was massive! The meat was amazing, but the potatoes really stole the show. Flavorful and not spicy, just YUM! I finished a class at SFCC, where I stopped for food here while waiting out the storm. The Food was great and everyone was super friendly, especially the busboy, (who should be graduated to waiter status as he was only one who seemed to know what was going on). The mediocre service is typical of service encountered post-Covid, where prices have practically doubled and everyone expecting big tips, and many order are "deliver." Yet those little extras could go a long way to make better restaurant are non-existent. I was sat at the table just north of mini-bar and west of waitress section, which meant that I had anywhere from 3 to 5 girls all giggling in Spanish (note, I am 1/2 Hispanic and understood every word said) all of them literally a foot behind my chair yet no one ever refilled my coffee, brought me my check, and dumped a poorly fitting small to "go box" for me to pour my food with me ending to do myself and box being too small some flowed on to table. I had to turn around and asked 3 times for these three items (coffee, check and to go box). The bartender was there as well (obviously with no training) making drinks that were filled over the top, not leaving a fingers edge, which meant that when they got to the table the drinks would have melted and oozed over the side. Once again, delicious food, happy positive people, but more client focus, but less giggly afternoon and these place would get 5 * read more
