    Very nice decor.

Best N.M restaurant from santa fe to taos. Outstanding service, beyond quality cooking . If your anywhere near Pecos don't miss this spot and must try the best pinion coffee.

the dining room - The image shows the interior of a rustic-style restaurant featuring wooden beams on the ceiling and wooden flooring. Hanging lanterns provide lighting, and there are small windows along the upper walls. A mounted deer head with antlers is centered on the wall behind a fireplace, flanked by decorative figures and potted plants. Several tables and chairs are arranged throughout the space, with a person standing near one of the tables. The decor emphasizes a lodge or cabin aesthetic.

I LOVE FRANKIES! first off, super charming historic building. Second, GREAT service. Third, dependably good! This was my first time and I feel WRONG for not having known about Frankies years ago. Its a hidden gem! I'm not a gal who gives five stars without a second great experience. I look forward to updating this review once they impress me again! One word of caution, tho! If you are cold natured, eat outside or bring in a sweater. It's PLENTY cool in there on a hot day!

Frankie's was great. We went for breakfast. I had pancakes with pinon nuts and my hubby had the french toast. Hearty portions. The servers were great andtook good care of us. Make sure to try the pinon coffee...yummy.

Breakfast Croissant Sandwich - A breakfast croissant sandwich featuring a flaky, golden-brown croissant with visible layers, served with slices of fresh orange and strawberry. The orange slice is positioned with a red fruit piece on top, and the strawberry is placed nearby. The dish is presented on a white plate, highlighting the colorful fruit garnishes and the crispy texture of the croissant.

The place is the heart of Pecos! Gorgeous inside and a sweet local staff serving the town. We decided to grab to-go and enjoy a picnic. Loved my Breakfast Croissant Sandwich! It was an omelette style ham and egg sandwich and this thing was huge and delicious! At $8 this thing is definitely packs huge value. They serve breakfast only until 11:30 and thank god they did because I would have probably ordered something else. This thing is a winner!

A welcomed treat after spending time at the Pecos National Monument. Unassuming on the outside, inside is straight out of a western novel. Ordered the green chile/chicken enchilada casserole. Good..but, for my New Mexican taste buds needs a bit more fire. We were a group of 10 - service was fast, friendly and deserving of praise. Definitely would be a return customer.

Oh my God, this is the quintessential New Mexican roadhouse right out of a Quentin Tarantino movie, and that is your impression when you first pull up. But fear not, the interior perpetuates this illusion. From the mounted deer above the fire place hearth that greets you upon entering, to the giant wooden timbers that frame everything including the vaulted ceiling in the main dining room. This place is overflowing with character. The food is on point and the serving portion are more than generous. I had the red beef enchilada with eggs and beans. It was fantastic. This would be a great place to come and have breakfast at before heading off to Pecos National Historic Park.

We had lunch at Frankie's at the Cassanova, a cute little restaurant in Pecos, NM, on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. Our food was good as was the service. My husband had chicken nachos which he really enjoyed. We ate at Frankie's again on Saturday, Oct. 19 because it was good before, and really there was not much else to choose from. Since my husband's nachos were so good on Thursday, two of us ordered them this time but we got burned nachos, and the manager was a rude bully. He said my cheese nachos were burned because there was nothing else but cheese on them and the oven was TOO HOT for that. (So, take them out sooner!) No apology - it was MY fault for ordering just cheese nachos with nothing else. Wait...what?! There was a little dried burned up cheese on burnt chips. He should have told us up front if they couldn't do cheese nachos, which one can get just about anywhere in the US. Any kid can make them! The other plate was chicken nachos which were good on Thursday, and these DID have other things beside cheese but were still too burned to eat this time. What a rip. So instead of their expensive desserts we went to DairyQueen for some good ice cream.

Green chile cheese burger, nicely prepared.

Best food in Pecos! Meals and drinks are served at spaced-apart patio tables, all staff were wearing their masks correctly. (When COVID is over, and we can eat indoors again, the dining room has a lot of character.) Six bucks for a cheeseburger with a lot of good green chile. Crispy hot onion rings. Very good enchilada casserole (your choice of green or red). Also, your choice of red or white wine lol. Free refills on good, strong iced tea. We eat here every time we're in this neck of the woods. Check out the Pecos Ruins if you have time, four miles down the road.

Best thing around here. Don't have many choices out here and Frankie's in a gem in disguise.. Great with my service dog, great service.

The chili was excellent came with a large side of rice and beans, lettuce, pico sour cream guacamole was absolutely delicious. Same as the salad I replaced the blue cheese with goat cheese and it was excellent. The dressing was so good and the fruit fresh. The margarita, perfect not too sweet not artificial tasting at all. Now, the tamale oh my goodness I've never had such a moist tamale maybe the best tamale I've ever had. The pupusa was delicious and they didn't skimp on the cabbage salad. I expected something different with the beef stew. It was much thinner and Brosier than I expected, but it had an absolutely delicious flavor and plenty of meat. I would definitely come back here and I would definitely recommend this to anybody

The server also failed to tell us that we could order only off of the one menu that fit the exact time of our visit, which happened to coincide with the time that they switch from offering lunch to the time they serve dinner. The cheeseburger was very tasty. The grilled salmon tacos were good but served with flavorless beans and bland rice. Not a place we'd refuse to visit again, but definitely not one we're eager to return to either.

And in conclusion.... I didn't actually eat here but here is…read morethe reason. You can get a biscuit with jelly for $4. The next thing on the menu is a biscuit with meat and a bunch of other stuff on it for $8. Like many people, all I want is a biscuit with egg. She offered the $8 biscuit and that I can take everything off of it, as if that's the only option for someone who doesn't want meat. The However the bottom of the menu shows things you can add, which includes egg. It was basically a weird stand still, as she didn't offer the option of getting a biscuit for $4 and adding an egg (for what most places would do for around $2) Why would I need to pay $8 for something that I'd be removing almost everything from? Instead of making people get the 4 (or so) specific options on the menu, why not add the option for a biscuit and all of the extra things with prices? I would rather pay $7.50 for what I want, than $8 and leave feeling ripped off by only getting half of what I paid for. Why mention all of the things you can add, if you can't actually add them. Lastly, why does everything come with mayo? Maybe that tastes great, but lots of people literally hate mayonnaise. I'm giving 4 stars because maybe the biscuits are amazing, or maybe she's just kind of clueless with customer service. I'm just hoping a fellow business owner checks this out and sees that if something changes they would probably make more sales.
