Wow! Stepping into this local burger joint, I had some serious reservations about my choice for a hamburger dinner. The service was outstanding. Very interactive, friendly, jovial, very interactive and going above and beyond to make us feel at home and answer any questions that we might have about their menu. As outstanding as the service was when we placed our order at the counter. The food itself blew everything out of the water. My cheeseburger on a sesame seed bun with green chilies, grilled onions, pepper, jack cheese, and all the accompaniments was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time. Outstanding. My dining companion had her burger with green chilies and grilled onions and pepper jack cheese, and all the compliments served on a sopapilla bun. She said it was not good, it was marvelous, stupendous outstanding. The sweet potato fries were outstanding... Crispy, tasty and the serving was huge We were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, but it had a friendly vibe to it and dislike a down home friendly Mom and Pop restaurant. I have tried to make as many notes as I can to make sure next time my man, Santa Fe that I grab a real burger. This place was off the chart good. My first visit. Unassuming building with simple old-school diner vibes. Friendly staff and great service. My burger was on a very fresh soft bin that managed to never get soggy. Good sized burger with free cheese and grilled onion s upon request, I added green chile which was just the right amount of heat. The medium-rare could have been a bit more rare but the patty was thick and had a great flavor, The ribbon fries are like thin and crispy homemade potato chips in long strands. The order is huge! They were great but could have been served hotter. All in all this is the best burger experience I've had in Santa Fe and I will definitely be back! read more

I am so disappointed. I just spent eight dollars on a burger. Got to my car and the hamburger completely fell apart. The bun was also hard, I'm really sorry, but you lost a loyal customer and I feel really disappointed. There's also no way I was going back in because the line was too long and I don't have patience to wait for another burger to be made. McDonald's and Burger King have hamburgers that hold together and that's not saying a lot. read more

Well. (Retired chef here) Had the real burger , green Chile and cheddar. Great. The bun which I suspect they use for the 12 oz as well as the 8 oz is a little bready for the 8oz, but add them pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and it levels out. Tasty. Cooked to order (mid rare). The fries were great. Value for portions is on point. Service over the phone was superb ! Patient, friendly, and accurate. (We ordered to go) I see y'all have buffalo now. tried this place for lunch due to the great reviews. Went about 1130 and there was a line for the counter service. We got our burgers fairly quickly. Oh BTW, yelp says that there's beer and wine, there is not. My husband and I both got a burger one beef one turkey. We both asked for no green chilies yet we both got green chili chilies and they were HOT. tons of hot crisp tater tots. Yes I know they came out of the freezer, but I love tots. Good fries. Probably out of the freezer as well. Probably will not come back here anytime soon, but the burgers are tasty, and what appears to be handmade. Plus, they are huge. read more

Ok. so I was looking for New Mexican food. The burger name initially threw me off. But the yelp reviews steered me in as a hidden gem of New Mexican goodness. Well as usual, the great yelpers were correct! What a great family owned joint. I ordered the patty melt and added green chilis. The bread came on the side. That was great for me. It had a guacamole salad on the side. It was some of the best guac I have ever had! The thinny fries are really thin fresh fried chips. They were so good hot! Service was really great. We stopped in here based on the reviews, but we're surprised when no one ever came to our table to welcome us or take an order. I ordered the Al Pastor Tortas, but it looked like something else. At least that's what I'm told but I've had this yummy sandwich many times before. Just not from here. When it arrived it smelled sour. I thought it was a chili cheese hotdog by the roll, chili textured protein and shredded cheese. I couldn't get over the smell and sent it straight to the trash. The establishment is like most NM restaurants, very limited table service. You order at the register and the food is brought to you. Drinks are refillable and self serve. Even though there weren't anyone in front of me when we arrived, the food took a bit of time to arrive. Should be a good sign that it's fresh. Or!?!?! I've reviewed this place before when I had a green chile cheese burger that was delicious. This time I stopped to try a breakfast burrito and was equally thrilled with the food. I asked for the burrito without potatoes and it was still large enough for 2 meals. For $5 it is the best deal on a burrito I know of in Santa Fe. As it is Covid times and take out only The chile came on the side (I ordered xmas) and I poured it on top when I was at home. It became a smothered burrito (Realburger charges extra for smothering)! Next time I will ask for chile on the inside because I hate those wasteful plastic containers full of sauce, but man did this burrito hit the spot. Realburger is 1 block north of Cerrillos, which makes me feel like I've found a hidden spot to get great food at a great value. read more

As I am staying in Santa Fe, I am trying all the different hamburger joints to find out which hamburger is the best. I really like this place. It's cool the people that work there are super nice and the food is plentiful. Ordered the bison burger, which was as big as a real bison, had the green chili onions mushrooms, the whole shebang. It was really good until I got to the last bite and they just happened to be a weird chunk of meat. That was not very edible. That ended my hamburger eating unfortunately but up until that point it was really really good. Also, their french fries are excellent. I would love to have seen onion rings because I'm a huge Ring fan, but with all that said, it was a very good experience and I would definitely go back and try a beef patty next read more

We almost did not go in as we could not figure out the random patio table outside and this open door with tons of boxes BUT we went for it. You walk in and order right there, the guy behind the counter is SUPER friendly and helpful with the menu. A genuine welcoming friendly vibe. We ordered green chile cheesburgers, ribbon fries and of course had to get the red chile Frito pie. The dining room is basic and clean, with a nice condiment bar that was also clean and kept up. The place had a steady stream of regulars which is telling. We got our food and went to town on it. I have to say that the green chile cheeseburger was 5 star, the buns were different and very fresh tasting. Maybe they make them in house? My wife & I visited Real Burger in Feb 2023. she got the 1x real burger, well done. I got 1x real burger. Medium rare, American cheese & green chilies. We shared a pile of ribbon fries. All to go, we were on our way to the airport. Both burgers were quite large and filling. My wife's well done burger could of been cooked longer, she wasn't happy with it. My medium cheese burger was fine. The chilies were good. Our total bill was $21.42 but my credit card got charged $56.42. I had the receipt & I disputed the charge with the bank. It's possible the server simply made a typo for the tip amount. Overall I thought the burgers are ok, good value. My wife however felt her undercooked burger was terrible. She did like the frys however. Given the $35 overcharge to my credit card, I probably would not return. read more

Red Chile is BOMB. Fries are very good and cheap! And the Chicken salad for $7 so worth it! If I lived in SF I would be eating here every day for lunch! Great food (the veggie burger is not like any other you've had, its real vegetables, covered in cheese, not a patty made out of ground up grains), incredibly nice service, and plenty of room to hang out and enjoy your meal. We popped in after a trip to Meow Wolf because this was close by and had great reviews. We weren't disappointed. The friendly staff took our orders and made a huge bunch of food for five people in mere minutes. We hadn't even finished grabbing a selection of all the tasty condiments (The salsa is great!
