a food truck with a flag on it
    Lance K.

This food truck is located at the corner of Old Santa Fe trail and Paseo de Peralta. I want to preface by saying that I lived in NYC, and have eaten in Italy and I do know my Italian food. My wife and I moved here in December from Austin. This little truck has some of the best Italian food that I have ever enjoyed. Israel is an amazing chef and the whole crew there are wonderful. I love the #4, which is a creamy pesto pasta. All of their sauces are wonderful but this one is my favorite. They have home-made bread that is served with each meal that is always fresh and tasty and they also make salads, panini sandwiches and my Mrs loves the spaghetti bolognese. The food is so fresh and tasty and I highly recommend you try the truck for yourself.

This review is for takeout. Five stars for the guy who packaged up our food very thoughtfully and…read morechatted with me. The interior also looked super cute. My main disappointment the food is overpriced. The pasta dishes were pretty good, but not nearly $30 worth. The pizza crust is kinda doughy, which makes it feel heavier than expected... and also like it should cost less. I think if I'd dined in, the atmosphere would have pushed it up a bit, but on its own we were surprised by the bill.

Wait: I made dinner reservations for 6:45pm and upon arrival, the host/bartender asked everyone who had reservations and who is a walk in. A walk-in party of two were seated before us. We informed the host we had reservations, but when another customer came in, the host overlooked my party and my husband had to speak up to let him know we had reservations. We finally got seated 10 minutes after our reservation. This is very disappointing when you have two hungry kids in tow. Drinks: The wait for the food was long. We decided to put our drink order in and we were informed a few minutes later that the Java Stout I ordered was out. I decided to pick a jalapeño margarita and was informed by the waiter that they ran out of margarita mix and that he would comp my drink at no extra charge as he felt the drink might not meet my expectations. The margarita wasn't terrible as I expected; however, I appreciated his gesture. Food: my husband decided to order the salchiccha (sausage) en broccoli pasta dish and when he received his plate, there was no sausage in the pasta. When we informed the waiter, he mentioned he could take the dish back because that was the cook's interpretation of the dish. Management needs to update the menu to accurately describe the dish. Anyone reading the description of that entree would have expected pieces of sausage. I ordered the fettuccine all vogole and the portion of the pasta was very small. The amount of clams were disproportionate to the amount of pasta noodles given. My plate was delicious but the portion size could improve. All in all, management has a lot of improvements to work on in order to make the customer's experience great. Our waiter was great and we still gave him a good tip because the disappointing experience we had was outside of his control and he did his best to fix things. Management needs to do better.

The restaurant is roomy and lively. It's right across the street from the Hilton, where we stayed! My colleague ordered pizza to go on the first night, walked over and returned back to hotel room! I should have done that too! Our party of 6 came from Hawaii and just trusted the process...we ordered several wood oven pizzas (sorry I didn't pay attention to what my friends ordered ) I had the Tartufo - omggg it was to die for!!! the food is amazing and affordable! We would come back again and again if we could!! The employees were friendly and helpful! We were leaving the next morning so some of us took the leftovers and ate it at our stopover!! We will definitely come back if we have another conference there!!

Located in the Plaza off of San Francisco St., we didn't realize there was it's own parking lot that is shared with others around the corner (we parked at a public structure for 5 bucks 2 blocks away). This is an order at the counter establishment of which I do not care for, especially if it's pricey (which it was). We started off with the house salad for 7.50/ea and totally not worth it (just some lettuce tomatoes and dressing with a piece of bread). 2 of us had pizzas 1 a calzone and another pasta. Pizzas were ok, but a good size for one big appetite or to share otherwise. The calzone was HUGE but my friend did not care for it (vegetarian) as she said it had too much goat cheese and lacked flavor. My friend's pasta was just average. With a bottle of cab and 2 soft drinks, the price came to a pricey 120 bucks before tip (the servers do deliver your food and drinks to the table). Would I come back here? Probably not. I have had others word of mouth that also did not care for it.

(Future manager I think) He let me sample some great wines 1) Signature Canyon Five ~ fruity. Unique 2) Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon ~ AMAZING ! I ordered number 2 to pair with my (incredible) FRENCH ONION SOUP If you have that on your menu I have to try it but this was truly exceptional ! Following that I had the New York Strip. Medium rare. GREAT but I did ask for a side of Green Chile. And Garlic Aioli for the potatoes Nicely cooked but I added some salt and chile to make it pop my taste buds. YES. I would order it again the same way The Pork Chop looked great as well Desert was also very good. Truffles and Port wine ...I love Port wine (Spicy chocolate truffles with lovely RED CHILE in them) I think I'd give these guys 6 stars of if I could because Armando was so cool toward me !

We were walking by Hervé at the time, it felt meant to be. We had been here before a few years back. I remembered they had some solid reds before. We walked into their festive dining area and grabbed a couple spots at the bar. They had plenty of options. We weren't totally sure so the kind bartender let us a try a couple. I'm happy to say they still have some good reds. I've always thought that Lescombes were one of the best New Mexican wines, and they had those. We got their Hervé board as well to nibble on, which was a great assortment of meat cheeses and more. From the bites to the wines to the service, it's one of the best spots to kill an hour downtown.
