My cheeseburger on a sesame seed bun with green chilies, grilled onions, pepper, jack cheese, and all the accompaniments was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time. Outstanding. My dining companion had her burger with green chilies and grilled onions and pepper jack cheese, and all the compliments served on a sopapilla bun. She said it was not good, it was marvelous, stupendous outstanding. The sweet potato fries were outstanding... Crispy, tasty and the serving was huge We were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, but it had a friendly vibe to it and dislike a down home friendly Mom and Pop restaurant. I have tried to make as many notes as I can to make sure next time my man, Santa Fe that I grab a real burger. This place was off the chart good. On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Since it's was a fine day , the patio tables were more popular. We chose inside because we could be seated sooner and enjoy air conditioning . Cute diner decor overall. We got an order of the sopadillas ( pastry filled with choice of meat ) . There was so much white chicken meat in the sopadilla which came with rice and beans too. We also tried the Fritos pie . It was essentially a Fritos "haystack "with your choice of protein. We shared a blue corn and pine nut pancake as an appetizer. It was a bit more dense than a regular pancake but still tasty . All dishes were good and satisfying. Big portions of food that we couldn't have any dessert . If you are in downtown Sante Fe try give this restaurant a try!
