Ordered on ubereats. Liked the mushed potatoes and salads. The chicken burger had too much sauce though.

    $20

Not worth $20 for 3 sides. Breaking it down, it means 1$ per tiny smashed potato for the 1 side, and 1$ for each bite of the salad. Would rather go to Chop Hop next door which actually makes me more full and the food tastes more fresh.

The kale ceasar salad and Chipotle Chicken Burger is delish! If you are looking for a healthy meal ,i will say this is the place to go for.

Healthy good option for lunch. I usually order online & eat it at work. Prices are fair & portion sizes are appropriate.

Super milky tea and a good cookie
    Cin C.

Disclaimer that I came for a tea and a snack, and not the usual meal options that the majority of patrons come for. I had a tea and a cookie there, which was both passable. The tea was a bit strange as the teabag was thrown in with hot water then immediately doused with milk. It was tepid and didn't taste like tea which is a crime in my books. Really should have served either served the tea in a teapot (which they had) or the milk on the side. We watched many people assemble different meals for lunch or dinner, combining protein and side options as they liked. I will keep this place in mind for the future for meals on the go!

    Salmon with two sides

We got in for a Saturday lunch without wait. Got combo 1. Protein with 2 sides. Salmon with Cauliflour and a salad. Their sides are very exotic sounding and healthy. Found seating. I guess it's one of those neighbourhood haunts that people enjoy. Service is friendly.

Single protein and two sides combo

This is a popular neighborhood healthy food spot. I had only tried the cappuccino here beforehand but the consistent flow of what looks like repeat clients intrigued me so I decided to give them a go finally. I chose the 1 protein plus 2 sides combo. There is a decent selection of main proteins some hot and a few cold, the selection of sides is quite extensive. A lot of the sides have so many ingredients that it is probably worthwhile just to buy them here IMO. I tried the salmon with mushroom and sweet potato side. Decent IMO not overly seasoned. What I like about this spot is that one can come here with the picky eaters who are on to whatever is trending diet and still satisfy their need for eternal youth! 3.5 stars.

Stopped by here because my BF wanted to eat something healthy for lunch. I didn't feel like mulling over the options on the menu, so I just picked out a pre-packed salad from their fridge. It didn't have a price on it, and I was a little shocked when it rung up at over $20. Pretty steep for a refrigerated salad! Honestly - the salad *was* pretty good. The sauce was a great flavour without being too heavy, and the quinoa added a nice texture. I thought the black spheres were olives, so I was rather surprised when I bit down on a grape instead (not awful but olives would have been better imo). The portion size was good, definitely enough to make you full. The food was great, but the price leaves a little to be desired. I'd totally be okay with paying over $20 for a salad I'm sitting down at a restaurant to enjoy, but to pay that much for a prepackaged one that's been sitting in a refrigerator doesn't sit as well with me. Oh well! No regrets, it was yummy.

Pantry is a hidden gem of a spot in a really cute summer hill neighbourhood. I honestly have no idea why the rating is so low and in fact I'm apprehensive to write this review because now everyone will know my secret brunch spot!! First off the neighbourhood Pantry is located in is just so adorable. Quaint shops, scenic streets, and a nice calm aura. Then you see the aesthetic shop that is Pantry and think wow, this looks good. There is outdoor patio seating but it was a bit chilly so I opted for indoors when I went. You'll also easily find street parking nearby (or go by subway and get off at Rosedale). FYI parking is free on the street before 1 pm on Sunday - perfect for brunch!! Pantry has an amazing aesthetic to it - wood panels, a rustic kitchen, and nice plants. I opted for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich (egg and feta) and got to customize my toppings. The best part is that the pricing is unbelievably good...$5 for a breakfast sandwich, yeah you read that right! The service is prompt and friendly. They also have build your own lunch available at a certain time of day. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and I really enjoyed every bite of my sandwich. Here's the best part, on top of great food - you can get awesome insta-worthy photos here too! Go early when it's less crowded b/c seating is limited, but you won't regret a trip to Pantry! Happy eating, Shaan "foodsforthegram" A

    Kale Cesar and cauliflower tahini

In the heart of Rosedale is this lovely food shop that was very busy for a Tuesday afternoon! Service is great inside and they have a lot of options to choose from. I had their combo that came with 2 proteins and 2 sides because I wanted to try different things. Miami short ribs, chicken burger, cauliflower tahini, and kale Cesar were my go to. Everything was perfectly cooked and was a healthy alternative to many restaurants in the area. Would be back here and highly recommend

Great breakfast sandwiches, the truffle egg salad sandwich is my favorite and I ocassionally make some time in the morning to get one of these before work.

Mac and cheese with herbed bread crumbs, curried couscous salad and two jerk chicken breasts.
    Sarah S.

Got jerk chicken with mac and cheese and curried couscous salad. The jerk chicken had really good skin and wasn't overly greasy which is great. Mac and cheese wasn't as fresh (we came in close to 6pm) but it was still really good, especially with the bread crumbs. Curried couscous salad was good and paired nicely with the mac and cheese. My order along with my bf's came down to about $13 which was really reasonable, considering how one person meals these days start around $12 or so. Portions were good too - you end up feeling just the right amount of full. Will be down to coming back again, most likely for lunch when everything (including the mac and cheese) is super fresh.

Miami Ribs, kale caesar and mac and cheese. Not the best presentation in the takeout box but delicious!

I LOVE this place. They have the best food. My current site is walking distance and every so often, I'll treat myself to a lunch here (when my co-worker decides to get his lunch from Pantry). I've only eaten my food at the establishment once, usually opting for takeout instead. Seating is limited and this place is perpetually busy. My favorite combo is the Miami Ribs, mac and cheese and kale caesar, sometimes switching up the kale caesar with Brussels sprouts. I'm not a fan of eating fat so I always ask for the leanest pieces of Miami Ribs they have available. My only gripe is that they switched from their plastic takeout containers to cardboard boxes. I get that it's better for the environment, but it is almost impossible to use a fork and knife with their new cardboard takeout containers. (I tend not to dig into my Miami Ribs with my hands when I'm at work...)

Very spacious, good for large groups and they have a snug area too. They don't have a breakfast menu & didn't add a one-off menu for the early morning opening so for food, we just chose off the lunch menu. We had the garlic pull-apart bread to start and then around 2nd half, I order the fried chicken burger & the smashed potatoes, and my friend got the chicken tenders and fries. They did have coffee & tea so that was good for an early morning drink! I really liked the fried chicken burger. It didn't have much seasoning on it. Temperature wise it was hot, so ideal to wait to bite into it! The smashed potatoes were fantastic - would definitely order that over the fries any day. They needed salt though, which I added. Those would be great for the poutine or the loaded poutine too!

We were seated and then greeted right away by our waitress. She gave us menus, but then didn't come back for about 15-20 minutes to take our drink orders. We each ordered a cocktail and they arrived within 5 mins. and all looked amazing. We had the Marissa Harissa which wasn't mine but I swapped for it because it was so tasty lol. It was spicy and a little sour and a little sweet. Very yum! I had ordered the Velvet Figue, which was tasty but a ittle on the sweet side for me. We also had the Amal Old Fashioned which was fantastic. My husband and I both said it was one of the best Old Fashioneds we'd ever had. The last one was the Amal Espresso Martini which was good but unremarkable. We waited about 20 minutes before our food orders were taken. We ordered several things to share. The first round came out around 10 minutes after ordering, which was good. We had the dip sampler and chose the hummus basil, baba ganoush and muhamarrah. The hummus basil was wonderfully smooth and had a great basil flavour. The baba ganoush was nice and creamy. The muhamarrah had a very nice flavour but was very sweet which was a little off-putting to me. I didn't hate it, but wouldn't order it again. We had the kibbeh which was fantastic. The texture and flavour were both perfect. We also had the spicy fingerlings which were great! They were very spicy and the sauce was lemony and so delicious. I actuallly mixed some with my muhamarrah to cut the sweetnss and that really helped. The rest of the food took about 20 minutes to arrive (after we finished the appetizers). We had the skewer platter for two and it was so delicious. The pistachio kabab was out of this world good. My sister doesn't usually enjoy lamb, but she liked this. It was spiced perfectly. The other two were very good too. We had the vermicelli rice, which was very nice. I make this at home so I'm familiar with it and really enjoyed it. The texture was perfect. Lastly, we had the pickle plate which was very interesting. The eggplant pickle was different from any pickle I've had before and was quite firm, which I wasn't expecting. It was tasty. We ordered a bottle of Lebanese red wine which was a very nice accompaniment to the skewers. All in all, it was a lovely evening. Our server was very nice and friendly and the food and drinks were very good. The 4-star rating is partly because of the very slow speed at which the food came out. I'd have given 4.5 stars if that was an option We would return.

Food also came out quickly, which I appreciated. I ordered a latte and the Lebanese Omelette with tomatoes, green onions, capsicum, parsley, home potatoes, and pickled serrano, plus a side of 4 pieces of beef bacon. The latte was okay, nothing memorable. The omelette had good flavour and nice seasoning, but overall I found the dish a little dry. The beef bacon was probably my favourite part, especially with the little pops of pomegranate sprinkled on top, which added a subtle sweetness and texture. One thing that stood out this visit unfortunately wasn't the food. The textile bench cushions where I was seated were visibly stained and fairly worn. They were also uneven in height, and my table was positioned right over two different cushions. I ended up stuffing a pillow under one side just to avoid feeling lopsided the entire meal. It's a small detail, but in a restaurant that presents itself as polished and upscale, those touches matter. Overall, brunch was fine. Good, but not excellent. The food came quickly, flavours were pleasant, but it didn't wow me. That said, I've heard their dinner service is where Amal really shines, with a more expansive mezze selection and elevated dishes, so I'd be open to returning in the evening to experience the restaurant at its best.
