    Choux hazelnut and chocolate

A tiny space with lots of love. The owner is a delight and you can truly feel his passion for pastries. If you are lucky a. There are still Choux available, be prepared to wait as there is most often a line. Delicious and worth every bite!

BEST. COFFEE. PASTRY. SHOP. EVER. !!! They are known for their shoe French pastries and omg they are so delicious. I heard a lady order a mocha and said it was really good ao I also ordered one and wooooow. It's a real French mocha. The best in my life. Ever. Jacque is the kindest and most welcoming human. His shop has such a nice vibe and feel. We talked about astronomy and he is just amazing to talk too! I've never felt so comfy at a comfy shop before. It felt like we were locals and were from LÁ! Jacque if you read this, happy holidays and wishing you an amazing new year!!! See you soon. - Dang and Linda

We tried this place for the first the other day. And the owner is European, very good smooth espresso coffee. And we had a dessert so good. Wish I could have tried more! The place is small and cute.

    Cappuccino and raspberry cheese pastry

Stopped by early morning on a Tuesday! Not knowing what I was in for, I asked what was available. There were fresh, warm raspberry cheese pastries on the counter and some German donuts sitting on a rack. I hope to come by when there is also Choux available, but I think things are a little different during breakfast time! Cappuccino: straight forward, strong, goes well with pastries! Raspberry cheese pastry: the filling was so tasty, no raspberry seeds (a huge plus) and a creamy and slightly sweet cheese filling. Not too sweet at all and the pastry was nice a buttery. Came to us warm and we're so good!

I don't know how people live this place. I support small and local businesses but this place was my least favorite while I was in Seattle. I got the eclair and it was not average it came out of the refrigerator and already had the cream in it. I was told that the pistachio was delicious and I asked for an eclair he didn't even ask what kind I wanted. I guess eclair means with chocolate and something filled I am not even shore what was inside Will I come back no because my chocolate mocha latte badly taste like chocolate when I asked for extra. I am better off down the street coffee shop.

Very sweet staff here! It's a small space with a couple of seats along the wall. They don't have tea beverages unfortunately, but they do have espresso options. They also seem to mostly have choux pastries, which was unique too. Probably not a great option if you have dietary restrictions, but definitely a unique French bakery to check out!

We love it, Jack! The cozy little French style cafe on the street side. The coffee is genuinely nice so is your warm attitude. We love the Eclair you made- the best we had. I even felt nostalgic seeing your Thermomix on the countertop !:)

It felt like we were transported to Europe during our visit to Panterelli. The owners were so kind and friendly, and they explained what they make and where it comes from. We had the hazelnut choux and pistachio choux topped with raspberry. They were fluffy, creamy, sweet, divine goodness. The ILLY espresso is truly superior- we loved our cappuccinos and it reminded me of my time in Italy. You do not want to miss out on this lovely patisserie!

I am so glad to have this wonderful treasure in West Seattle. Panterelli is absolutely amazing. Jacques (the owner), and his employees, are always so kind, friendly and personable. They are always a pleasure to see. The service is wonderful. I also love the Parisian and authentic French atmosphere of the shop. The desserts are excellent. Jacques makes wonderful authentic Choux à la Crème (French Cream Puffs). They have just the right amount of cream on the inside and just the right amount of chocolate on the outside. I especially love the hazelnut flavor. I definitely recommend this authentic French dessert and coffee shop. If you are from outside of West Seattle, it is totally worth the drive to come and try these delicious desserts!

I love a crepe but this crepe in particular was stunning! I got the hazelnut chocolate banana crepe. The hazelnut cream piped on top elevated the dessert. Lovely customer service. Gorgeous little cafè. Excited to return.

I was thankful that I-5S and 99N were straightforward to/from Shoreline, because I made yet another attempt to check out Panterelli in West Seattle (7/8/23, 8/4/23) after first reading about this indie business in late June. I also had good luck finding nearby street parking in the Junction. I purchased one of each of the three choux items featured in the pastry case on Friday morning, see my attached Yelp photos of whole choux and later halved. Note: the pastry case does not have signage or prices placed with each product. I was charged a flat $17.85 plus tip - this was just under $21. Each item was nicely packaged in Barbie-pink containers with a clear lid and placed carefully in a bag. I was reminded to make sure to refrigerate these choux if not consumed immediately. Duly noted for filled pastries on a summer morning. I would have inquired further about ingredient details and prices. However, there was another individual ahead of me. Plus while in line, I was detecting a strong distinct scent of chocolate. Sure enough, while packaging my items, the presumed owner had to pause and remove a pan of melting chocolate off the burner. Not seeing another pastry assistant in the production area, this was a one man business this morning. It is wasteful to burn chocolate, especially when on direct heat and not melting via a bain marie. So I did not want to further distract the owner with random questions. Plus in my case, the intended choux aficionado does not have a nut, gluten, or lactose allergy. Just take the above into consideration if you or others may have allergies or sensitivities. I would have had an Illy coffee onsite, per the first Yelp review mentioning "Perfect espresso". But the limited indoor seating was all a jumble - chairs all askew among the few tables. Again, that would have been another pause for the owner. I decided to have an espresso elsewhere instead. This bakeshop's niche is focusing on choux pastries, familiar as éclairs or cream puffs. The light airy eggy pastry is filled and dipped with tasty ingredients. I appreciated the pastry cream, but did not really pick up the pistachio flavor profile. The pastry shells were thin so contents were generous, but led to the shells not remaining crisp and a bit soggy. It is telling that the other halves have not been immediately consumed by The Homie. This and other observations resulted in an overall 3 Yelp review. Instagram posts showed another pastry assistant in training. Glad to see that another indie is fairly successful from the get go with early shop closure due to product being completely sold out. Hopefully Panterelli will get their par numbers increased to allow for consistency and variety. West Seattle loves their dessert choices with nearby A la Mode Pies, Cupcake Royale, Flying Apron, and Bakery Nouveau...and now with the addition of Panterelli.

It can get busy on the weekends, but this Goblin knows what it's like to be slammed, so I wait patiently and be respectful. It's nice to see an unpretentious flavor forward cafe run by young women doing so well. Their Hazelnut lattes don't lack flavor and taste like you "don't get it". Their coffee tastes like you were finally invited to the dance. While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". I took 1 star off because no place is perfect. I'd also like to see patrons of West Seattle businesses do more as a community to keep these spaces clean and tidy.

It was very chai/spice forward which I like in my chai drinks. The Mocha profile was a bit faint for me as well as the espresso. They competed for my attention and the chai won out in the end. I can say I enjoyed it, but am more curious about how they are as their own individual drinks. Other worth while mentions. Per the cashier, unlike previous years, where they often sold Paczki for several weeks leading up to the celebration, this year, they will only have them on Tuesday. Apparently every single one is handmade by the owner, Pâtissier William Leaman, and this year, he's been too busy with the 2026 Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie competition as the US team's coach. That's certainly a great excuse! When we arrived on a Sunday afternoon a bit after lunch, this place was still quite busy with a line that stretched to the door, but not outside. As with the Burien location, I find the ordering process to be a bit of a pain; while there are plenty of workers to help, ordering is slowed due to the fact that the display cases are placed in a line and there's not much room in the building to maneuver to the desired display. In our case, while we had someone helping us all the way in the back of the line, we weren't able to select anything until we got all the way to the pastry case in the front. I'm not sure there's a good way to solve this conundrum, though. At any rate, we ended up only getting a single pastry (that was new to us) to try this time. Brown Sugar Pecan Brioche ($5) - This pastry looks like a glistening pecan sticky bun at first glance, with a cinnamon roll-like pinwheel structure and a brown sugar glazed pecan topping. Since it's brioche, I expected it to be dense, but soft, rich, and sweet. This bread is anything but. It's dense, dry, crumbly, almost clay-like in mouthfeel; basically everything brioche should not be. Instead of a sticky caramelized coating over the pecans, the pecans are glued on with only the thinnest of sugar coatings. The pastry doesn't claim to be a sticky bun, so it gets a pass there. Unfortunately the base layer is absolutely terrible, by far the worst "brioche" I've eaten in years. It has all the flavor of hard tack with the unpleasant mouthfeel of Play-Doh. Canned Pillsbury cinnamon rolls are far better than this waste of perfectly good ingredients. The owner should be ashamed to release this swill to the public. (1/5) Why am I giving Bakery Nouveau a 5? Because they serve some of the best twice baked croissants known to man. The Capitol Hill location is my go to for a sweet and buttery treat and I still recommend it to everyone that visits me, specifically for the almond and chocolate twice baked croissants. The paczki are no slouches either; probably the best we can get around Seattle. Bathrooms - Single unisex room. Note: There will be some walk in availability for paczki on Tuesday, but the cashier told me that they will likely sell out by 10AM. Looks like an early morning trip to the Capitol Hill location is in my near future.
