I've only ever eaten egg sandwiches from Pantano's (which are great) but I've been eyeing this wrap for quite some time. Tonight I gave into my buffalo chicken craving and decided to go for it. Buffalo chicken, Mac and cheese, waffle fries, and spicy ranch all in one wrap. Where can you go wrong. It was delicious! I ordered online and it was ready when I got there. A deli is a deli is a deli is a deli - well, you get the idea. Pantano's Eatery - Plainview, NY In the adjacent shopping center across from Bed Bath and Beyond. Seems this place has been here for 6 years. The outside is nice enough. They even have a small table and chairs outside. The windows have hand painted designs of a Snowman and red bows. We ordered Beef Barley soup and Cream of Potato soup along with a hero sandwich dubbed Michelangelo which listed Corned beef (or was that pastrami) and sauerkraut. The bread was toasted and there was eat on in with maybe a tablespoon of kraut. I asked for more and the server gave me a little cup of cold juicy kraut. I asked him about the soups. They are canned. They add small bits of fatty beef to the Beef Barley and call it home made. Then they put the serving in a huge coffee cup. The amount is easily big enough for two people to eat. They do provide individually packed crackers and individual small salt and pepper packs from the back near the napkins. Yelp*ers - note- that there is a 10% discount for first time check in. It has a timer on it that clicks down from 3 or 4 minutes. Also note that Soda and drinks at 2.50 a pop, are not included in that, and, that you must pay cash to be able to get any discount applied. So, for 2 soups, 2 sodas, a hero sandwich and the so said discount of $2.71- the bill came out to $24.18. Ah but so nice, on the bottom of the receipt it notes: Thank you for your patronage! My husband and I LOVE Pantano's! Look no further for delicious sandwiches and salads, the BEST iced coffee on LI, and great Italian-style desserts. I ordered Pantano's for my sister and her healthcare team (She is a PA); they really went above and beyond to keep them nourished and ready to take on this virus. We are originally from New York, but recently moved to South Carolina - boy do we wish Pantano's would open here! There is a similar NY-style deli near by, but it does not even compare to the unique family-style that Pantano's deli has. Support local, family businesses! Especially during this time. Thank goodness my brother lives in Hicksville! Even better, thank goodness his friends like to eat. My brother was asking around at work where he can find a good sandwich and long behold he was attacked with recommendations to try "Pantano's Eatery" at the Plainview Shopping Centre. He tried it and than recommend it to me. I guess word of mouth is great advertising. You shouldn't wait long to find parking, the lot is huge so it's a breeze. Looking at the building from the outside, you can tell this establishment means business. Going inside, the place looked modern and fresh. It was very clean and organized and that made my decision to stay and eat warranted. At the counter, the staff wasn't all to friendly. But they did take my order and than instructed me to have a seat. I made a quick run to one of a few chairs with cushion. My bottom thanked me while I waited for my meal. A lot of patrons walked in, received the food and left. Finally they called my name. I acknowledged I was there and they brought my meal to me. I finally had my wrap. I couldn't wait to try it. I was not disappointed. The chicken was breaded and had a tenderness to it that worked on the wrap. The bacon was crisp and crunchy. The Mozzarella stick was warm and gooey and the Mac and cheese was okay. This place is definitely on top with wraps. I definitely need to come and try more options. Been coming here for years and always delicious! I usually get the Nico wrap but everything I've gotten there has always been good. The Nico wrap is for sure the Fire Pick for me. Nice little lunch spot in a strip mall with a big parking lot. Brought home two wraps for about $10 each- the big john and the spicy melissa. I preferred the spicy melissa (buff chicken, spicy ranch, fries, mac n cheese) to the big john (chicken, fries, gravy, mozzarella) which was still good but got a little dry by the time I came home (but I imagine it would be great for dine-in). So I usually go to Pantano's in Uniondale and was expecting the level of food quality of that location and yeah, that's not what I got. This location isn't great. Located in a DISASTER of a parking lot (not their fault), the menu is tiny compared to Uniondale and the food isn't really great. Food was bland and tasteless. Service sucked. Restaurant wasn't super clean. Ate there and almost all the tables were dirty. I got a wrap that was far from being worth $12. Just wasn't impressed at all. I ordered in from here with a few people. We got 2 taco salads, a Caesar salad, chicken fingers and a spinach dip appetizer. The chicken fingers were your typical diner food kids meal and tasted fine. The Caesar salad was doused in dressing and the lettuce was mostly wilted. The taco salads did not look appetizing at all. Someone basically threw some brown lettuce and wilted tomatoes into a tin with a heaping amount of overcooked chop meat. The result was a greasy mess that no one would be proud of. The spinach dip appetizer was the worst part of the meal. If it wasn't floating in a pool of oil, it may have been tasty. I was able to spoon out over 1/4 cup of oil off the top of it. Food is GREAT here. However, I cannot rate more than because of a shady business practice. This place charges 4% to use a credit card, and bills it's menu prices as "cash incentive price" . Me I highly doubt 4% is the processing fee assessed by the credit card companies for this business to accept payment, so this restaurant is essentially profiting on a service not provided by themselves. Went here for lunch while visiting Long Island. Ended up getting a Burnside sandwich (chicken cutlet, melted mozzarella, honey mustard). It was delicious. The chicken cutlet is top-notch. It came with a side pasta salad. Also got an iced coffee, half regular half crumb cake. Needless to say, it was perfect. Won't hesitate to go back. It's a regular stop for me. The coffee is delicious. The staff is super nice and the sandwiches are delicious. The Anderson is one of my favorites for lunch. For breakfast everything's been pretty good. Love me a good sausage egg and cheese and they don't disappoint. Their bagels, when you ask for them toasted, are fantastic. Try a BLT with mayo on a toasted bagel, it's delicious!!! Come here once a day at least, and even more than once a day on multiple occasions. Ever since I first tried the spicy fries, I won't get a sandwich without ordering these too-very tasty! I do wish they had a few more simpler options on the menu. The price is not bad for the portion you get but the quality wasn't that great and I wondered if it was worth paying more than I would at Subway for the same amount of sandwich. I ordered a pasta from here once and it was not so good. The shrimp that came with the pasta was actually cooked well. However, the pasta and the sauce tasted like something you get from a middle school cafeteria. Very bland, very generic. The pasta was way too mushy. Overall, the food wasn't absolutely terrible but the existence of other quality lunch options in the area makes this place less appealing. The service is fine, never had a problem with placing long orders for an office lunch. I wouldn't order from here again if I had other options. read more

This is a deli located across from Dr. Pardeshi's psychiatric outpatient office we medical students go for learning on our suny rotations. By the way, he is excellent! This deli has all the favorites. Tuna, egg, and chicken salads together with creative sides like bow tie pasta and even excellent rice pudding. Snapple iced teas are there, even peach! My egg salad was super creamy and the rice pudding was extra thick and cinnamony (this is a new adjective by the way!)! So if you want a real deli NYC experience, make sure to come! read more

I found this little spot through groupon. I thought it would be a diner type of a place but it isn't and it is more like a deli. A big NO in my book are places that change their prices from their menu and doesn't inform their customers of their new prices.
