bacon egg cheese sandwich

One phrase, yummy in thy tummy. That's exactly what it WAS. Fresh, fluffy eggs with crispy bacon & that cheese!? Ugh. Thank you guys so much for fast service & a cute environment.

Sesame bagel with vegetable cream cheese

Walked in to pick up bagels for breakfast and they were perfect. Service was quick and kind. There is counter space as well as a few tables to eat in. The bagel dough was well risen and had an excellent chew and flavor. A great NY bagel!

Pantano's is my go to restaurant for delicious, fresh, homemade sandwiches and salads. Their food tastes just as good as it looks and their homemade Caesar salad dressing is my all time favorite! (They should bottle and sell it!!!) Their staff are professional and kind. 5 stars across the board!

Still the best lunch and breakfast spot in Plainview / Hicksville. Their chicken cutlets are my favorite. Love this place! Love the staff. Keep going guys

The Mezz Wrap

Pantano's has limited indoor seating and operates more like a deli where you can grab and go. It takes 10-15 minutes for them to take and to make your order. They have breakfast items, wraps, heroes, salads, etc. and offer a discount if you pay cash. I ordered the Mezz and was glad I took it home because it was a bit messy to eat with the Italian dressing. They are a little bit on the pricier side so expect to spend $13-$15 for a meal here.

the nonna rosa panini

Wow what a great sandwich! It was love at first bite. Quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We ordered 2 paninis both came with layers of balsamic chicken with fresh mozzarella with peppers. Each panini came with chips or side salad

A must-stop whenever you're on Long Island! Fantastic menu but The Big John is the can't miss option. 10/10 recommend!

FRANCISCO WRAP MOZZZ OOOZE FIRE GRAVY

BEST SPOT IN LONG ISLAND. if you're looking for authentic taste, reasonable prices, and an unreal experience stop by this spot. I ordered the Francisco but everything looked good. and i mean EVERYTHING. It was tough to decide. They have so many different antipastos, salads, sandwiches, desserts...something for everyone. Staff is top notch and the owner even prepared my wrap for me! So much TLC. I'll most definitely be back because my wrap made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. the best of the best!

Egg whites with turkey as you can see from this photo it looks like literally one slice of turkey
Mauricio B.

It kills me to write this ... I've been coming to Pantano's for years, and for a while it was my main spot for food. However, the quality of this place has really taken a dive. The price was always pricey but I continued to come here because I loved the sandwiches and the portions . Today was my very last straw as I ordered 4 sandwiches ( 1 egg and cheese, 1 egg white wrap with turkey and cheese , one turkey ( maple honey turkey ) and one Turkey sandwich with bacon and egg,) my total was $50 . A bit expensive but like I mentioned as long as it's a good portion I didn't mind. When I got home I was so disappointed, my wife's egg sandwich had one slice of turkey , and my son's Turkey sandwich and mine had so little turkey and shredded into bits. when I called because I was curious on the portion size, I was told that they give 1/3 pound per turkey sandwich when I received was much less than that. 1/3 lbs should equal to roughly 5ounces , for reference, I received closer to 2 ounces on each sandwich. I was starving otherwise I would have brought this back, my wife was the only one who took a picture which I will share. It's sad because I understand times are rough but when I feel scammed or disappointed to the point I needed to share this. I simply won't be coming back here and I hope this helps the business more than shy others from here, because the responsibility to your guest and keeping them happy is why you cook food. Cooking for others is a privilege not a forced habit

From the moment…read morewe walked in, the vibe was relaxed but lively--bright, modern, and welcoming with that perfect neighborhood-restaurant energy. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place just feels like a solid go-to spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner. We started with the fried calamari, and honestly... it was amazing. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender inside, and the portion was generous. The only small note is that the seasoning was a bit strong/bold for our taste--almost like it needed a little more time to marinate or mellow so the flavors could balance better. Still, we cleaned the plate. It's the kind of appetizer that makes you keep reaching for just one more piece. For the mains, I ordered the Shed Burger and my wife went with the Steak House Burger (the one with bleu cheese, crispy onions, and house steak sauce). Both were excellent. The Shed Burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and stacked just right with the American and Swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion jam, and that signature Shed sauce. The Steak House Burger was equally impressive--the steak sauce and bleu cheese gave it a richer, more savory punch that my wife loved. Taste on both was awesome. The meat was cooked properly, the buns held up, and the overall flavor was spot-on comfort food done right. We also got the Shed Fries on the side and they were crispy and addictive with the dipping sauce. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Portions were solid, the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal, and we left happy and already talking about what we'll order next time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, tasty meal in Plainview. We'll definitely be back.

It's located in a crowded shopping center in Plainview, but fortunately we didn't have a wait. My son and I started out with Bloody's which were heavy on the spices (a little too heavy). Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is that we felt service could have been friendlier. Outside of that though, this was a good find and excellent brunch!

Since we were dining in, they gave us a table number and we placed it in the holder so staff know where to bring the food. Our order didn't take very long to arrive to our table, just about 10 minutes. After finishing your meal, you bus your own table. The menu has options for burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, shakes, floats, and desserts. I ordered a Yellow Label Burger ($13.45) and a Strawberry shake ($6.75). My husband and I shared a Farm Salad ($9.75). The Yellow Label Burger comprises of USDA Prime Beef, homemade fried mac n cheese patty, lettuce, tomato on a potato bun. This was delicious! I liked how after biting into the crispy, breaded exterior it gives way to a hot, molten cheese center that oozes perfectly over beef. The Farm Salad which consisted of spring mix, tomato, blue cheese crumbles, sliced almonds, dried cranberries, and raspberry vinaigrette on the side was also very very very tasty, fresh, and a good portion. The strawberry shake was also very good and had pieces of strawberries. Black Label Burgers pride on only using USDA Prime Angus beef that comes from a single source, Double R Ranch, located in Washington State, a family-owned farm known for its responsible practices and superior beef. You can definitely taste the richness and juiciness of the beef. My husband had the Red Label Burger ($13.25) and the PB&J shake ($7.75). He really enjoyed his meal as well. I really liked the inside decor and the laid back vibes. Black Label Burgers is great for a quick lunch, a night out with friends, or a family dinner. I am looking forward to my next visit.

I liked the local (Long Island) themed decor, friendly service, spacious parking lot, wide variety of self-serve beverages (tangy lemonade - yay!) and nicely padded booths. Definitely a cut above competitors like Shake Shack in that regard. I chose the signature black label burger made with dry aged beef and regular fries. While the hand cut fries were wonderfully crispy and flavorful, the burger was kind of disappointing - not terrible, but the bun tasted stale and the meat was very bland. Also I ordered the burger cooked medium but it came out pink in the center, not my preference for chopped meat. Maybe I ordered the wrong item? I plan to try other menu items in the future to see if they hit my taste buds differently.

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. So many burger options! Elk, Bison, Turkey and of course grass fed beef, which is what I ordered. I also ordered the loaded fries. Not gonne lie, I didn't think pico and guac worked on fries, but they were seasoned quite nice. Only thing I wish it didn't have was Mayo. Made it a little too sweet, but still good nonetheless. The burgers were good. That's why the extra star. Other than that we were blown away at the tiny portion of tater tots that came with each of our order. We thought this was a joke... When I inquired respectfully to Reet about it, she shrugged and said "well that's how much we serve , we COUNT to 15" lol listennnnn for the price we are paying here, that basket should be full. Period. Who counts tater tots? Anyway. Makes no sense, but I said umm okay that's odd... Then I mentioned about the Mac n cheese being so watery/runny. Never have I had Mac n cheese like this. I uploaded a picture as well. When I told her we couldn't finish it because of how it tasted and how runny it was, All she responded was "okay" ... also my son and my mom ordered the same burger, but only my mom's came with a sauce strangely. When I asked Reet about it she just rolled her eyes, walked away, never brought sauce for my son. She then brought us the check. Lol. We never had a manager approach us or anything of that sort, I guess I should've asked myself for the manager but I was trying to be nice and give her a chance to rectify everything but she never did. Nor did she apologize for our experience. Nothing was deducted as a courtesy on the bill either. We didn't bother to say anything, clearly they don't care about their customers or pick and choose who they want to be nice to. We still paid and tipped her 18%. However, customer service is everything. We left feeling so disrespected and ignored. Deplorable service sorry to say. No courtesy whatsoever. A smile goes a long way.

As I craved BBQ for the umpteenth time, I was saddened by my past visits to those Long Island places that claimed bbq but were just neon lights or chain stores or just pure disappointments... and then saw a new place opened just a few months ago that was within striking distance. I couldn't resist - I had to try again... As you drive in, stay vigilant and make the correct turn - you might miss it if you go too fast on Jericho Turnpike. Drive straight down - your reward awaits you on the left. I was greeted by Lou, who runs Prime Time Butcher; he is Father to Josh of Blowin' Smoke. This is a family that knows quality meat - we are talking Generations of Butchers. As I waited for my order, Lou greeted customers that came in by name - they've been there before and he knew exactly what they wanted. (That's always a good sign.) Josh came out to greet me and apologized for the slight delay in my order. I came in on a Tuesday evening, missing the Pastrami days on Wed and Thurs, the Brisket of Fri, Sat, & Sun. So, I did what every other aficionado of BBQ would do - I ordered almost everything else to sample the range of the menu. As I left with my order, Lou asked for my honest appraisal and I promised him I would: Long Island has Good BBQ - and it can be found at Blowin' Smoke. Ask the toughest critics: my teenagers. They DEVOURED everything: pulled pork, St Louis ribs (both sauces), baby back ribs, chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, wings. They looked up and declared this was the best BBQ they've had in NY. And then they asked if we can go back again in the future - oh, yes, we will... My greatest compliment would be this: would I wear a tshirt and hat with the Blowin' Smoke logo on it? The answer is a resounding YES. (I just hope they don't do the stereotypical black color - this place is unlike any other and shouldn't look like everybody else...)
