I previously removed a star bc of the long wait time, but they have seriously improved! I still call in my orders but whenever they say it will be ready, it is! Also just want to add that the turkey apple cheddar panini and the penne ala vodka wrap are my favorites. Be sure to check their weekly specials on the homepage too bc they have great options!

a hand grabbing a piece of meat on a pita

I've given this place a few chances and this will be the last. I waited over 30 minutes for 1 salad and 1 panini. The salad was mediocre at best. The french dip panini was atrocious. First of all, it wasn't even a panini it was a half burnt pita. The meat, was as tough as leather and vinegary. It was supposed to come with caramelized onions and cheese, there were probably 6 slivers of onions on the whole thing and the cheese was hard and rubbery. I won't even give this to my dog it's so bad. Don't waste your time and money on this place there are much better options in glen cove.

This place is a hidden gem. It's passed all the busier shopping centers in Glen Cove. I would never have thought to come here. But i decided to drive around and try a place I haven't been to. I'm glad I did. I ordered the chicken pesto panini. It was really good, but messy to eat. Not a huge deal, since it was delicious. BF ordered a chicken burrito of some sort. They had home made chips which were dope. Their homemade cole slaw is also pretty damn good. I need to give this place another try the next time I'm in the area. I do recommend for others to try.

I guess it is "healthy" in a way because it is tasteless and dry on the chicken cutlet sandwich. The side order cold slaw is @healthy" too since little mayo used which it s good I presume. The girl behind the counter is nice.

They have great paninis. My favorite is the turkey and Granny Smith apple slices. Everything that I have tried has been fresh and tasty

Always love the food here. I get the LA sesame chicken wrap every time. And a broccoli cheddar soup. Never a bad experience.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. Good (not great), pricey and very close to my hotel room!

Ultimately, our experience ended up right in the middle--some hits, but a few noticeable misses that kept it from being a stellar meal. The Highlights: The Coffee: Easily the absolute star of the morning! Rich, smooth, and brewed to perfection--it was easily the best part of the entire visit. The Atmosphere & Service: The overall setting is lovely, and the staff kept things polite and attentive throughout our meal. Where It Fell Short: The Drinks & Food: We ordered virgin mojitos, but the orange juice base tasted surprisingly flat and off, almost like it had been sitting out too long. The Omelette: I ordered a classic omelette, and while the presentation was decent, the execution was just plain bland. It felt like it was lacking key seasoning or fresh herbs to give it life, making the whole dish feel pretty uninspired. All in all, it felt a bit sub-par compared to the usual Roslyn dining standards. That said, brunch can be hit-or-miss depending on the day, and I'd still be open to coming back to give their dinner menu or other options another chance.
