Upon being seated, it took about ten minutes for anyone to come take our order. When a waitress realized that nobody had come over to service, she said she would find someone. The waitress who did end up serving us seemed to be training someone. Even with the two of them, though, it took forever to get refills on drinks and anything else we needed. By the time we finally got the check, we couldn't wait to get out of there. The salad was quite good with fresh ingredients and a nice dressing on the side. The pizza was not my favorite, but it was decent and my husband enjoyed it. The atmosphere is casual with a somewhat cheesy Italian vibe, but if it weren't for the service, I would have maybe found it charming.

I mentioned it to the hostess and to the server and the hostess who claimed she was the manager, even though I asked for the manager, tried to argue with me about it. What is wrong with people? It's not appropriate to be on FaceTime call at a restaurant where everybody can hear a conversation, she didn't even have headphones in. Not to mention it was the whole time I was there, which was about 30 minutes. I had to leave. Do better.

A cozy bar area greets customers if you want to grab a drink while waiting to be seated. They also offer upstairs seating, rounding out a welcoming and highly professional atmosphere that has stood the test of time.   THE FOOD * Bread Service: The bread arrived with a tasty honey, chive, thyme, salt, and pepper butter, which was a nice touch. * Kumamoto Oysters: Ice cold and refreshing. They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks. Excellent for special occasions or an upscale business dinner.

The restaurant is BYOB so we took a short walk down to Boyd's pharmacy to get some wine and beer. Bordentown parking is challenging, so be prepared to leave extra time for finding a spot. Our meal started with fresh baked sesame semolina bread that melted in your mouth. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my wife ordered the pasta with crab. Both dishes were amazing and portions were large (we both took some home). The service is professional and the staff is knowledgeable about the menu. They did have a lot of specials in addition to the menu. The atmosphere is quaint and somewhat elegant. In the nice weather you can even sit outside.

Pros: I genuinely can't think of a single favorable aspect of our dining experience…read more Cons: Everything--from the service, to the table spacing, to the food quality--was an issue. The ambiance and layout were problematic throughout the meal. The table spacing was already uncomfortably tight from the start, and toward the end of our visit, a party of 10 was seated in a way that completely blocked off the front left side of the already small dining area. This left only a narrow path on the right side for entry and exit. Given how confined the space became, it raised legitimate concerns about safety and whether the layout could pose an issue in the event of an emergency. After waiting 40 minutes for the complimentary bread, I finally had to speak up and ask for it to be brought to our table. Given that there were several open tables both inside and outside, we couldn't understand why there was such a tremendous delay with such a simple task. For an additional "starter" my dining partner ordered the Caesar salad which was completely drenched in dressing. While we were initially excited about the homemade pasta entrees, we were extremely disappointed once out they arrived. I understand that homemade pasta is typically served al dente, but neither dish was cooked properly. I had to cut my pasta with a knife because a fork simply wasn't enough, and my dining partner couldn't cut several pieces of his pasta at all--some were still noticeably crunchy. I was especially surprised, as I've dined here before and don't recall these kinds of issues--perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we weren't able to address any of this during the meal because our waitress, Marti, never checked on us from the time she delivered our entrees (about an hour after we were seated). Not once, not even upon delivering the check did she ask us how our meals were! Before leaving, I chose to address the server, Marti, directly and share our experience. I expressed my disappointment with both the service and the food, but her response made an already bad experience significantly worse. Every comment was met with a large, clearly insincere smile and a dismissive "I'm sorry to hear that," with no effort to actually resolve anything. A good server would show genuine remorse, offer to involve a manager, or at the very least attempt to make things right--whether by addressing the issue or offering to comp part of the meal. None of that happened. There was no accountability, no urgency, and no real acknowledgment of the situation--just a phony, rehearsed response that felt completely disrespectful. To make matters worse, shortly after we left, my dining partner became ill, experiencing both diarrhea and nausea, along with severe stomach pain that has now lasted over 14 hours and is still ongoing. If I could give this experience a 0 out of 5, I would.

The vibe is old school and cozy and was beautifully decorated for the season. We started at the bar with vodka martinis that were made perfectly by the friendly bartenders and generously filled as well. We asked if we could move to a table for dinner and they accommodated us immediately telling us to take our time at the bar and showed us the table they reserved for us when we were ready to sit. Once we sat down our server, Tony, came over immediately and introduced himself. He told us about the restaurant and also about the nightly specials. We decided on the clams casino appetizer. While we were waiting he brought us fresh baked Italian bread and homemade butter. It was delicious and when we were down to the last piece a new loaf was put down without even asking. The clams and lemon wine butter sauce were delicious. Salads came soon after in a light vinegarette with fresh sliced cheese. The entrees we ordered were the Roebling Veal Chop milanese style and the seafood pasta. Both were delicious and the chop was giant! For desert we shared "A little of everything" which consisted of a tartufo, a tiramiso, and a canoli. They gave us 2 complementary limoncellos to have with desert. The owner stopped by to see how everything was and kicked up a conversation about the restaurant and how it owned it for 39 years. It started in Chambersburg, a once vibrant little Italy in Trenton that no longer exists. Throughout the night we were treated like VIPs and truly like family. This date night at Marsilio's kitchen was more than a meal. It was a dining experience and we will certainly be back soon.

The inside is simple and classy, uncluttered and clean, but most of all a quality Italian eatery. For a Tuesday evening it was pretty slow. The waitress who helped me was personable and treated me like family. She tried to give me the "everything is good here", but I wasn't having it! I appreciated her patience as we perused through the menu. I finally went with the popular Saporito - Chicken/Veal (I chose Veal at $35), Egg Battered Scaloppine. Vermouth Sauce, Spinach, Mozzarella topped with crab meat. For my pasta side I chose was spaghetti and it came with a salad. I was loving the Vermouth Sauce, it was sweet and not too thick/watery. The Veal was a little tough, but was better after soaking up the tasty sauce like a sponge. The crab meat was plentiful and fresh. I was kind of shocked they don't give you bread with your meal. I'm not a huge bread guy, but it's a staple at Italian eateries. I enjoyed a nice glass of a dry oaky cabernet my new friend recommended. They had a decent sized wine bottle/glass menu. I'm not a wine expert, but many styles were represented and it seemed like the management is on top of their selections and recommendations. I will certainly return for a family dinner or date night with my wife. Thanks guys!

Arancine crispy risotto stuffed with ragu bolognese, pomodoro, pecorino- I was not aware it's an actual shredded meat inside the arrancini usually it's just plain cheese stuffed. The pomodoro sauce i was not a fan of I was not sure if it's just blended tomato sauce because i could taste the raw garlic and the sauce itself is so much liquidy( we make our own tomato sauces at home from our garden we grow heirloom tomatoes). Calamari Fritti crispy fried calamari, roasted tomato pesto, basil oil- a couple of the squid it's so rubbery I hardly ate them. It's a NO for me. Pasta Fritta Crispy bucatini pasta fritters "alla Nerano", zucchini, provolone, sweet corn bechamel- this has 2 portions, This is the best one of out the other two apps I ordered. I never would thought about making a buccatini pasta as a fritters with zucchini and the sweet corn bechamel made my night.! If I come back again- this would have been my entree and will order 2 servings. Our entree: Spaghetti alla Carbonara spaghetti pasta, guanciale, egg yolk, cream, pecorino cheese- I love it although I got too full from Eating the buccatini fritters. The guanciale Has a smokey flavor but not overpowering. The carbonara has great flavor. Penne Pomodoro e Basilico penne pasta, tomato sauce, pecorino cheese, basil oil- I feel the pomodoro sauce is weak. I had better tasting tomato sauce than this one. My guest upgraded it and got ceasar salad (no picture bc I forgot. It was $2 and i feel the ceasar to small , not enough ceasar dressing and we said no onions- they had onions in the salad. They could have served in a bowl rather in a small plate. For dessert I ordered Flourless Chocolate cake- I had better one from Other restaurants. It's chocolatey but i feel something is missing. I should have ordered the lemon tart instead. Overall, I feel that the atmosphere and service were mediocre. Did they not know about any bday celebration tonight? I added it in my open table reservatioWe were the first one got seated near the front door that one room With 16 ppl by the time we finish our dinner. Our server was not very much attentive. Our coke and ginger ale were flat and I feel Like it is not the branded coke and canada dry ginger ale served to us. Prices were reasonable. Bill was about $98 for two people. 3 apps, 2 pasta entree and 1 small ceasar salad, 1 Dessert I gave 3 stars because I love the buccati fritters and the carbonara. Other than I had better italian food. I was hoping to be seated where the main dining room but we weren't seated there.
