The first time I went, I did one streak of highlight called a flash highlight (over 200$) to test the waters and it turned out great, so I came back expecting the same quality. This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.

It's a cute salon that also sells a small collection of clothes and accessories. They offer you something to drink every time you come in. I see plenty of men getting their hair cut here too. I live in Chicago and still get my hair cut only at Eastown Salon. I've tried salons in Chicago but end up paying three times the amount and feeling 1/3 the happiness with the cut/style. People ask where I get my hair cut all the time and think I am crazy when I tell them where. I'm not crazy, I'm picky! I have never, ever been disappointed with a hair cut from Todd, and he's a super sweet person, too.
