Nicole did an absolutely fabulous job on my hair. I came in for a consultation a week before my visit for a Brazilian Blowout. My hair was insanely frizzy and just overall unruly and unhealthy. I looked like I went through a tornado. And I was expecting a pretty high price for the treatment but for around 240ish she could make my hair look so much better. I immediately booked an appointment! That price is honestly really reasonable for how my hair looked initially and how long it was. (Another place that shall not be mentioned told me 360 maybe 390) Nicole was a super sweet person and has really great advice for how to take care of my hair after the treatment. She was just overall a kind and sweet lady! The results of my treatment was night and day. The frizziness went away pretty much completely and it was so soft and shiny! I was blown away how amazing it looked! I'm so happy I came and I think Nicole will be my forever stylist! I absolutely love how my hair came out and I'm so excited for my future visit! read more

I think it is always a bit difficult to review a business like this because typically the stations are rented out and everyone's experience can be completely different. I will say I absolutely love the person I always see when I come to Bombshell though. To be more helpful for others, I will write this review on the actually business itself and not the stylists since that is harder to review. When you walk in you cannot help but feel the hip chic cuteness immediately. It is definitely noticed that the place spent time decorating in a certain way with the absolute specific items they wanted displayed. Back by the washing stations I absolutely love the time it took to paint the design on the wall. It looks awesome and you can tell a lot of time and patience went into creating it. The place is always super clean and tidy. They offer many different drinks from local coffee from Herman's Boy-my favorite, nice teas and water. There are also champagne shaped glasses available but I do not know if that is what they serve. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and even though the place is nice, it isn't a place your feel that you are stuffy in trying to feel like a certain status. Great product available for purchase as well. From conversations I have overheard from other stylists and their clients, the conversations are always positive and super helpful. This is a hidden gem for sure! read more

Rachael Gilley is an amazing hairstylist. She did beyond what I could imagine and I'm beyond happy with my hair. The best experience I've had at a salon hands down. I got a haircut with layers and thinning it came out stunning. Thanks so much to Rachael! read more

Wonderful service with professional and talented staff . I have very pleased with everything about this salon. I would highly recommend

Unfortunately, no one has had masks on, every time I go, especially lately. None of the stylists, nor the customers. I do, but the statement is, if I am not comfortable, wear one. Listening to the stylists talk around me, and the clients, they are definitely anti anything to do with this pandemic. I have left there, and only recommend to those anti anything. read more

A buildings, no matter it's design or construction, is simply a structural container. It is the people passing through the doors, peering in through the windows or passing to the other side of the road which both make and tell the story, the real story of life within this structured frame. The images of these stories stem from people's tangible experiences, often but not always, in the arenas of customer service, person to person interaction and, obviously, their client's mop, cut, do or do-do; before and after services. According to Amy Sue Lyons, Bombshell stylist and former Design 1 stylist, the State of Michigan does not require any continuing education credits for hair stylist's renewing their licences. Potential, or even returning customers of this salon, as well as other salons, may consider taking a few extra minutes to interview prospective stylists. Much like an employer interviews perspective employees. In addition, taking the time to observe the atmosphere, interpersonal interactions and types of hair cuts happening within this space. Do stylists present and express themselves with respect and confidence? Do stylists speak highly about the salon's owner? Do stylists and other salon service providers demonstrate respect for the name of the salon, as their business benefits from the salon's name, branding and marketing? Do stylists edify, or speak highly of, the customers they serve? Do stylists love what they do? How are these stylists keeping themselves marketable in a changing industry? What unique skills sets does this stylist, working at this salon, have to offer you, their prospective client? Above all, how do these stylists in the context of the salon they promote and the customers they serve, handle the humanness in us all? Since all of us, self included, make mistakes, have better and less than better days, how do these stylists handle human error? Employees are part of the family. Independent contractors are guests in someone else's home. Thank you Tiffany L. for your inspiring review. read more

After years of raking a flat iron over my hair, forgetting to do my deep conditioning treatments, and the time I went from dark brown to blond in one sitting, my hair is the very definition of fried. At the recommendation of a friend, I found Brandy Hobbs, who thankfully, made my hair stop hating me. With eons of experience as a stylist, colorist, salon manager and corporate trainer, she's a pro in the know. She even reps for Schwarzkopf, who makes the color I use. She's got a packed client list but she's always been good about getting me in. I failed at keeping one of my recent appointments and she was so forgiving with me; we found a time that worked for both of us. I just came back from said appointment and my hair is luscious warm chocolate brown. I even had a coworker pet me this morning, commenting that my hair was so soft and shiny. Which is weird that another adult touched my hair at work, but I'll take it as a complement of Brandi's skills. Now if I can just make this blow out last until my next visit, I'll be all set. read more

Nick is the best! He is so sweet and funny. He did my hair for my wedding and it came out perfectly! I showed him a few pics from Pinterest and he totally got the vibe I was looking for. I also asked him to make sure it would stay because my wedding was going to be at a windy spot outdoors, that hairstyle could have stayed in place for a week. No joke. He was super chill which is good energy to have around on a frantic day. read more

Michelle is amazing! She is very talented and experienced. I had my hair colored and trimmed. She was professional and did a wonderful job. I even let her wax my eye brows and not only did she do this using a hygienic technique, but it never turned red and the shape was perfect. I will be going back! read more

This salon is quite the find! I've been to several salons in the area and this one is my favorite by far. It is so beautiful inside. You feel like you're being spoiled right when you walk in the door. Every person I've met that works here is very professional. Angela J. has done my hair several times and has done an excellent job. My hair was very badly cut at another salon in the area and Angela saved it. She really listens to what you want your hair to look like, makes suggestions and puts a lot of effort into getting it just right. I couldn't be happier and will definitely be going back! read more

Love what Nick, the owner has done with this great boutique! Bombshell represents a great concept for stylists & clients! Location, decor, and vibe are fantastic. I am one of Amy Sue's clients and couldn't be happier. I have actually been "with" her for over 10 years & followed her to Bombshell. I trust her ideas, suggestions, & most importantly; how great my hair looks when I walk out! Amy always knows the latest styles & techniques. I look forward to each visit! read more

I LOVE Amy Lyons at Bombshell! I've had a history of bouncing from salon to salon or stylist to stylist because of one reason or another, I couldn't find the one person who could cut or color my hair the way I wanted it. I even would end up going one place for color and another for a cut...Does anyone else have to do that? Maybe I'm just too fussy but I cannot say that about Amy. I've been going to her for about a year now (that's a record for me!) I started out with short hair and now it's long again like I wanted it. I get the works when I'm there (the cut, color and style) and it's perfect every time. The other thing I really like about this salon is I'm working with one person...Amy! Not the shampoo girl and then the blow dry girl and then the stylist...I hate that. Recently, my daughter decided to cut her own hair and it didn't turn out too well so I brought her to Amy, who of course, fixed it and she absolutely loves the style. Thank you Amy!!! read more
