Salmon Plate
Janae W.

All of us gym rats have been waiting for this place to open so naturally we couldn't resist stopping here for dinner on their opening day. Everything we got was exceptional. My husband and I ordered a Caprese Salad and shared the Chicken Pesto Panini. Everything was so fresh and extremely flavorful. My brother had the Salmon Kabob plate. The portion was so big that he was able to take some home for lunch the next day. Staff was helpful and provided great suggestions for us first timers. We will definitely be visiting this place on a weekly basis

This was amazing! The hummus trio was so good, particularly whatever the green one was. The rice was standard rice, I wish it was all yellow from the spices. The meat was very tender, and SO flavorful! The salad was solid, but we ordered it because it came with it, not because it was something we were dying to try. The salmon sandwich surprised me, I normally don't like salmon but combined with the bree is was pretty delightful. The tiramisu was tiramisu, but it was the perfect way to wrap the meal up. Would highly recommend the hummus trip and salmon sandwich.

So excited that this opened up next to my gym! It's perfect for after workouts when you're not trying to go home to cook. The falafel wrap in spinach tortilla was sooo good, especially with the hummus and tzatziki on the side. I unintentionally came on their opening day! The staff was friendly and service was quick. I ordered to-go and will be back - frequently!

This is supposed to be a kabob?? Wrong order

First off there is no diversity here! I don't like eating at any place where there is nobody that looks like me there especially in my neighborhood where there are plenty of people who look like me! But I was so excited for this place to open next to my gym that I visit 3 to 4 times a week.I finally ate here and I was disappointed. I love Greek food! I ordered an appetizer of falafel and it was a lot! I was full before my entree arrived. But took it to go and didn't check the bag and when I got home I noticed that the order was wrong. Instead of a salmon kabob it was shrimp. I called them and told them I would bring it back. I demanded a refund. The manager seemed scared to give me a refund after I gave her the spoiled food back! One employee said that management might think they stole money. Crazy experience. The ambiance sucks here. It's giving cheap. With cheap fast food. I didn't like the falafels so I probably wouldn't go back. I'll do 1888 across the street!

Great new addition to Hollywood Park, nice food and casual environment, great place for a quick bite before a game, concert or movie.

I respond with a resounding "hell yes!" I was hoping for a treat, but I had no idea that my expectations were going to be blown out of the water. At 10:30 at night place had tons of customers and the food was amazing. A woman by the name of Liza helped us out, letting us know that the food was made fresh so we might need some time, which we were definitely willing to take a chance on. I got the chicken kabob gyro, and my partner got a beef gyro. Both of us were grunting like animals between bites we kept yelling, " oh hell yeah!" Every bite was more delicious than the last. Their house packaged sauce called LebMex, a mix between Lebanese and Mexican I imagine, was just the right amount of heat and the whipped garlic butter that it was served with was out of this world. They also have some rarities in the refrigerator like tick tock famous pineapples soaked in Kool Aid and Warhead Lemonade. There were so many awesome selections on the menu that one could almost be paralyzed by the choices. Once we were done we had to round back to tell Liza how pleased we were and we swore an oath of duty to return as soon as we could to sample more of the delectable menu.

The The Filet Mignon Platter was our fav item! This was tender, juicy and had a smoky finish to it. This was not at all dry and I absolutely love how well-seasoned it was. The Green Olive Platter is a must try if you are feeling like sampling the different meats. It has chicken, seasoned kafka, beef, crispy falafel and tender dolmas (stuffed grape leaves). I love how diverse this dish is. Both platters are served with a side of salad and some seasoned rice. The Lamb Pita Sandwich has spiced tender lamb pieces and wrapped in a pita bread with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and their creamy tzatziki sauce. I love how good everything tastes in each bite. We had to also get the Fattouche Salad which is colorful with cucumbers, tomatoes and fresh greens. I love the toasted pita chips that act as croutons and the tangy citrus house dressing makes the salad whole. It tastes absolutely wonderful when you're munching on all the meats. We also ordered the Falafel patties which have the perfect balance of a deeply crunchy, golden exterior and a moist, soft green interior. It's spiced and tastes great with the sauce. For dessert we tried the Kunafa and this was served warm. It's not too sweet and I love the flavor. The Green Olive is a casual counter-service spot which makes for a great spot if you want something delicious and quick. The staff are organized and work well to make sure the food you get tastes amazing and you get it in a timely manner. I love how welcoming everyone is. Clean and bustling environment. Honestly, I adored the smoky char on the meats and it was a great experience visiting The Green Olive. I highly recommend this spot if you are looking for Mediterranean cuisine!

These many people can only mean one thing, that the food is delicious! I loved their huge menu with food for anyone's tastes. As a Pescatarian it's hard to find salmon at Mediterranean food places and Green Olive had several plates to choose salmon and shrimp. I ordered their Salmon Kabob plate that came with yummy rice, a salad, hummus and a pita. It was served with a garlic white sauce and a green slightly spicy sauce. I drizzled both on the kabobs and rice and everything blended perfectly. The salmon was seasoned so well and was so tender! It was perfectly cooked because it retained the softness salmon needs. I also got a pistachio cheesecake that was so light and delicious without being overly sweet. It was a perfect ending to an amazing food plate. The ambiance had average loud noise level since it is small on the inside, however they have plenty of outdoor seating which is where we sat. Even though there are other Mediterranean places close to me, I can see myself going to this location because of their expansive menu.

It still was hard for me to choose what I wanted. I ended up ordering the tahchin, which is the crispy saffron rice with braised chicken. Beautifully packaged and presented and oh so tasty! A dish with varying levels of textures and deep flavors. This type of food feels right up my alley. I got a beverage with some basil seeds to wash it down. I really wanna go back soon because I wanna try other items on the menu and the desserts. Especially the pomegranate walnut stew. It was my first time tasting something like this, and I was not disappointed. I'm a sucker for white saffron rice or any sort of rice plate and this, paired with the veggie medley they offer you, was a dream. It was a hot day yesterday, so I cooled down with their cucumber mint drink, made with traditional sekanjebin. I needed a gallon of it, especially with the outdoor seating. But honestly, the food was good enough to take my mind off the uncomfortable heat. The server was kind enough to check on us and brought us ice waters to keep us cool while the food was being prepared. I can't say enough about the thought and detail that went into the branding and packaging for this cafe. I love a restaurant that thinks things through when it comes to its look, and opening these dishes with their almost gift-wrapped presentation was such a pleasant experience for me. Yes, this spot is a little easy to miss when you're driving down such a busy street, but once you've been there, you won't forget where to pull in for parking. It's only outdoor seating, I didn't see a public restroom either so be aware. I will be back to order the rest of the menu, desserts included! نوش جان!

What bummed me out is the pita bread they provide for the hummus was too dry, hey we're not quite a chip, but definitely not soft pita. Gotta give this place a 4, for now. Given that sunset was scheduled for 7:00pm the day we went, we wanted to have a nice view of the beach/pier as we enjoyed our dinner. Around 6:30pm we were both surprised by their Sunset dancers. Two beautiful ladies with feather fans danced around the restaurant. It was such a fun surprise. We were seated near the DJ in a booth facing the coast. We each had two drinks. I had the Oracle of Siwa and the Gold Coast (both NA). The GC was marketed to me as being the sweeter of the two, but it was really tart. It tasted like an Arnold Palmer. The OS was supposedly more citrus forward and tart. It definitely was citrus forward but NOT tart. My partner had their old fashioned, one the best he says he has had. He also had their King of Kings, and although it was garnished with a lovely truffle he preferred the old fashioned. We then had the following: Baba Ghanoush, the Grilled Octopus, the Kampachi (which was the market special) with both the Egyptian and the Greek Dressing, and the Asparagus. Everything was sooo flavorful and fresh. It was a great meal. The fish was already so dressed that adding the sauces felt a bit unnecessary, and between the two flavors the Greek dressing was much more to our liking than the Egyptian sauce. Overall this was a great experience, they also offer parking validation if you dine in. Our service was impeccable and the servers were so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Places should send their people to watch her work. She is the best I have encountered. My buddy was taking me out for my birthday and our reservation (which was somewhere else TBH got cancelled due to a kitchen issue). He suggested Orla, and being a big Michael Mina fan I was in. The restaurant is big but typical for a hotel spot, but it has a warmth to it. A lot of that is due to being greeted by Pia, escorted to your table, and getting a wonderful history of the restaurant, chef, menu and drinks. As the day turns into night, we were treated to a gong and some dancers. Nice touch. And then the food and drinks! Forgot to take a pic of the cocktail menu, so I cannot recall what we had exactly, but both were exceptional, especially the one made tableside (Porus I think, with ocho plata tequila, aperol strawberry, grapefruit and butterfly tea in a tableside infusion) I think I had the Son of Amun with yola mezcal, apricot, ginger, lemon and miracle foamer. Expensive? Yes, but delicious. I looked online for the menu, but it seemed different when we were there. Pia suggested a half and half on spreads since we were indecisive, and that was a great call. Half Whipped Chickpea Hummus with tahini, paprika, za'atar, extra virgin olive oil and half Muhammara with toasted walnuts, roasted peppers, pomegranate molasses. Both were phenomenal but know extra pita comes with a charge. There is homemade chili crisp on the table that you might be tempted to drink. It's that good. We started with Grilled Octopus with gigante beans, red onions, capers, sea beans. Perfection in flavor and texture. The Saganaki finished tableside came with roasted wild mushrooms, black truffle honey, greek brandy and was some of the best I've add. Wish that recipe was in the book, but I will figure it out. For the mains I went with the Mediterranean Sea Bass and my buddy had the Swordfish... both the Greek Way with lemon, caper, oregano, vinaigrette. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection and one of the best I have had. After all that food we were way too stuffed for dessert, but Pia made sure to end the meal with a birthday gift for me. Wow. Did I mention how good she is? Now I need to come back and have Michael sign my cookbook... and tell me how to make that Saganaki. Thank you to Pia and the whole staff. What a great B-day dinner!
