This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. This place is a winner and deserves a try. Just one warning: THEY ARE ADDICTIVE!

The roasted cauliflower sandwich with whipped tahini, cotija, mint, and walnut-sultana relish is one of my favorites. Their crispy potato with horseradish cream almost reminded me of a latke, and the muffuletta is the move if you're looking for something hearty. Their monthly Pizza Party is also something I look forward to, especially the mushroom ricotta, the lemon ricotta paired with the earthy mushrooms is such a great combo. The shrimp aguachile is refreshing and balances everything out perfectly. Great food, great service, and a really cool little spot. If you're in the area, definitely stop by! And don't sleep on the Pizza Party!

The chef even sent over bread pudding complementary. When we told the server it wasn't for us, he just smiled and said, "It's definitely for this table." Super gracious, no awkwardness. The eggs were perfectly medium, the breakfast sandwich was one of the most uniquely tasty sandwiches I've ever had, and even the tea stood out. It was tasted freshly brewed with a hint of currant. Everything felt thoughtfully unique without being pretentious. Easily a top 3 breakfast spot for me. Now I understand why this place has a perfect 5 stars on Yelp. It's an absolute gem.

We ordered two bánh mì sandwiches (shrimp and lemongrass beef) along with an order of four fried egg rolls. Their fired egg roll option are only available in either shrimp or pork. They were tasty, but I would have loved to see a chicken option on the menu as well. One thing to note: jalapeños are automatically added to the bánh mì, so be sure to request no jalapeños when ordering if you're sensitive to spice. The seasoning and flavors in both bánh mì sandwiches were excellent, and all of the vegetables served with the bánh mì and egg rolls were fresh and crisp. In my opinion, it's often the little details like fresh produce that reveal the quality of a restaurant, and this place definitely delivered. We arrived around 7:30 PM and were a little concerned that we might feel rushed since it was getting close to closing time. Fortunately, that wasn't the case at all. The staffs allowed us to enjoy our meal at a comfortable pace, and we never felt pressured to leave. The dining area had two TVs showing family-friendly programming--one featured a Vietnamese cooking show, while the other was airing FIFA coverage on a news channel. It created a relaxed atmosphere, and we enjoyed a calm dinner with our 3- and 6-year-old children after a long day at the lavender farm. I also tried the Orange Thai Iced Tea. It was refreshing, though I didn't really notice much orange flavor. There are two individual single-stall restrooms available, and both were clean. Families will also appreciate that high chairs are conveniently located near the sauce and drink station. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would definitely return. Next time, I'd love to try their pho!

Inside is all reclaimed wood and cozy tables, people working on laptops, the coolest Redlands City Limits sign, kids flipping through board games and books in the corner, soft chatter, good energy. Pro tip: get in line as soon as you get there because it fills up fast and the line can absolutely go out the door. I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. There are cute little café tables all around and a tucked-away, walled patio in the back that's perfect for bigger groups. Already planning future coffee dates. The Reuben and potato salad combo was especially hearty and satisfying, with rich, savory flavors that felt very true to a classic deli experience. The Hungarian sausage had a great depth of flavor, savory and well-seasoned without tipping into being overly salty. The cherry strudel was a standout to end the meal, filled generously with cherries and syrup, wrapped in a flaky pastry that balanced sweetness and texture really well. The beer tied everything together nicely, cold and refreshing, and exactly what you'd want with this kind of meal. I still prefer Busy Bees in San Pedro, but this was a nice alternative within the IE area. Price: George's Market falls into a casual, reasonable deli pricing tier. Sandwiches like the Reuben and similar deli items are generally in the mid‑teens range, while sausage plates and hot meals can push closer to around $15-20 depending on what you get. Beer and imported items vary, but overall you can expect to spend about $15-25 per person for a solid, filling meal. Given the quality, portion sizes, and specialty nature of the food, the pricing feels fair. Ambiance: The space is part cozy German market, part deli counter, with a warm, wood-heavy interior that feels inviting and a bit nostalgic. There's both indoor seating and an outdoor area, giving flexibility depending on the weather or how busy it is. Beyond the dining area, the market itself sells a wide range of German groceries and specialty products, which adds to the charm and makes it feel like more of an experience than just a quick meal. Service: Service was good and impressively efficient given how busy it gets. There was a noticeable line when we went (especially on a weekend lunch time), but things moved steadily and the staff kept everything organized without feeling rushed or chaotic. Friendly and straightforward overall. Parking: Parking is one of the easier parts of the visit. It's located in a plaza with a large shared lot, so there's plenty of space and no real hassle finding a spot, even during peak hours.

One of the workers was on break and was having a very loud FaceTime conversation in the seating area. The machine that beeps when I guess orders are coming in, and the fan that goes off every time somebody opens the door all added to a rather uncomfortable dining experience.
