I go here once a week for my work's morning meetings. The customer service is awful. And they continue to mess up my order. Ordering 6 bagels should not be so hard. My mom went to Panera today, and I have to say, she even called me to write a review on what had happened to her this afternoon. She took 3 of my little cousins, and she was standing in line with them, looking at the menu. And she was talking to them on what they want, and this employee(maybe the manager, because my mom said she was wearing another color of their outfit) working at the cashier was staring at her and giving her bad looks and treating her badly because she was talking to my little cousins on what they want, i guess loudly. My mom was shocked on how she was treated. She went up to her and asked her for her name, Mary Beth. Ugh bad service and super racist. DO NOT GO HERE. I seriously want to call and get her fired. The manager seemed apathetic about a concern that I had ("I can't help you with that") for an online pickup, and people at the pickup bar (the line cooks) gave me attitude when I checked in on my order. I have dealt with rude managers and have literally had something missing from my bag or my order is wrong every time. The crew members are rude, inefficient and lack customer service. I love the food that they have here especially their bagels! The only think I don't like about it is how they clean their tables. They end up ridiculously sticky after being cleaned. Other than that I love it. If you get a drink I definitely recommend the "Passion Papaya Green Tea" it's the best! read more

Good baguettes. Soups are on the salty side. The lobby/order area is small and can get packed since the cashiers are usually on the slow side. Kind of difficult to know how to form a line and where it should snake to so as not to block the entrance/exit. read more

Service is ok and for the price you should get more food. Their bread is to die for though. I just buy their bread and make my own sandwiches at home lol. Overall their concept it's great and their food is good. I just feel that for the price I should get more food. The food is not bad and the service is very efficient and friendly. My primary concern is how small the portions are for the price.

I love Panera but this location is horrible. Only once have they gotten a to go order correct. They regularly "forget" items and are basically stealing money by not providing the food for which you have paid. And when I've called to complain, no one answers the phone. I am will be lodging a formal complain with their corporate headquarters. read more

This is the worst Panera I have ever been to. We waited in line for over 20 minutes. After sitting down waiting for our breakfast for another 10 minutes they came up to us and said they were out of the bagels we ordered. They asked us if we wanted a different bagel instead. We gave them our second choice, and they came back and let us know they were out of that also. We asked for a refund and that took another 10 minutes. The bathroom was disgusting as well. I will never go back to this Panera location. Just wasted almost an hour and I'm still hungry. read more

2nd time to this location, first time was good... This time was terrible! Ordered a Fontina grilled cheese, after a very long time it finally came. It was burned on one side and totally uncooked inside. I took a bite and then returned it to the kitchen with an explanation of what was wrong. They brought me another one (with no apologies at all) this one was not burned, but was still uncooked inside. How hard is it to make a grilled cheese sandwich?? I ate a portion of it(the edges were okay) and then my server asked me how my food was. I showed her the middle of my sandwich (totally uncooked, unmelted cheese) she said "yeah, that doesn't look right" but did nothing. Been to a number of Panera Breads. This is the new one in Upland North at the Colonies. This place is always dirty, even when it is slow, no one comes out to wipe tables or vacuum. Yuckkk. Wife and I order the new flatbread sandwiches advertised on the TV. Looked great. When they showed up, the bread was not even toasted, and there was hardly anything in the sandwich. This, plus the price tag of $20.00 for her sandwich/salad and my sandwich/soup, should have been max. $15.00 YOU LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER BECAUSE OF YOUR LOUSY MANAGEMENT OF THIS RESTAURANT. Let me start off by saying the ONLY reason this Panera is getting two stars is because the cashier was the sweetest woman. Anyway, we did an online order spent well over $50 so we went in and grabbed our order and left. Well when we got home we realized we were missing two large Mac and cheeses; yes, we should have checked a little better but sorry that is not our job to make sure the order is correct. So we tried calling Panera to let them know, we called three times and NO ONE PICKED UP!!! We also called at 7:10pm which is considered "after their dinner hours" so there is no excuse for not picking up the phone. Since no one answered we drove all the way back to get our food when we got there the cashier lady (didn't get her name) was SO sweet, again this is why they get an extra star. The cashier told us to hold on she is going to get her manager to see if the manager can do anything for us. We weren't expecting anything but the manager should be aware that they are messing up the orders. When the manager came out she was absolutely ridiculous!! Her name is Ashley Gould and I guarantee she hates her job and shouldn't be a manager because she does not handle the job correctly. She didn't apologize to us and told us that we should have checked out order before we left (uh, didn't know I worked at Panera now and had to check my order). When we told her what we were missing she goes "yeah I got it" with the rudest attitude like it was our fault. And she took her sweet time walking to the Mac and cheese and pouring it into a container. Will not be going back to this location and will be contacting corporate ASAP Ashley Gould needs to find a job she will actually take seriously. My wife and I have been patrons of Panera's for years. They are for the most part well managed, food is fresh, and quite tasty. That being said, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the Panera located by the Colonies shopping center near 19th. St. and Campus in Upland. Our experience began as usual. We were greeted politely and our order was taken by the cashier. After that, it all fell apart. My wife had ordered Chicken Noodle soup with her salad. The soup was cold. She returned it to the preparation station where the 4 women working were gossiping oblivious to a customer needing help. When she eventually received a response from one of the staff, they exchanged her bowl of soup for an equally cold bowl of soup and was told to use the microwave. Later, as we were finishing our now microwaved soup and meal, the entire restaurant was treated to the same 4 women at the prep station talking loudly and laughing. To sum up our experience, terrible! If I wanted to prep my own soup, I would've eaten at home. If I wanted to listen to loud employees, I would have preferred the ambiance of a Chick-fil-A. I'm guessing this Upland Panera is in need of better management. One last note, Napkin holders do little good if there are no napkins in them. read more

Never satisfied after eating at Panera Bread. But I keep coming back. I guess there's many locations which makes it convenient and it's kinda healthy. I secretly want to eat every pastry in that place! The food runner was so slow running out the food I had to go up and get my order because my soup would have gotten cold. We always order breakfast on the run over the phone from Panera. It has becoming annoying as they try to push you into ordering via computer or iphone. I don't use iPhone and by the time my husband decides he wants Panera for breakfast we're on the road. Not only do you have to listen to the message telling you how to order via iPhone or computer repeatedly when waiting to place a phone order, but then I get lectured by the employee taking the phone order! If you don't want to take phone orders then DON'T but as long as Panera still does take phone orders do your job without complaining to the customer placing the order! read more

I like Panera Bread and for the most part like their service. However, today was the first time I tried this location. I order iced coffee. As usual they gave me the cup to fill ice coffee. When I went to the section where the ice coffee dispenser was, I noticed the dispenser was missing. I told a worker and he told me they were making a new batch of ice coffee and it should be out in 5 minutes. Well, that 5 minutes became 30 minutes (after I again alerted the worker 15 minutes after I ordered ice coffee and 25 minutes after I ordered ice coffee). They need to tighten up on service like this. That 30 minute wait was unacceptable customer service. I write this hoping this will help improve their service for others and help their business. read more

1st time I have visited Panera Breads. Sadly disappointed. The girl who rang up my order was nice but completely confused. Charged me for an item that I did not order and that they didn't even have available. The food prep girl asked me and said that did not have it. Explained that it was a mistake. The manager rerang my order and refunded me almost $5.00. Got home and 50% of the arugula in my salad was yellow and bad. Might visit again. Nice location. Ordered Turkey bacon avocado sandwich and my daughter had tuna sandwich. Food is satisfactory. 2 stars serves this rating. The portion of the turkey and tuna is the reason for the low mark. I had 2 small tiny pieces of turkey in my sandwich with tons of lettuce. The tuna had a minimal teaspoon of tuna with again tons of lettuce. We feel we ordered sandwiches and got salads. Spend your money elsewhere where you get your money worth. read more

The best Jalapeño n cheddar bagels and light roast coffee. However, they are usually out of them early. This is a recurring theme. I have mentioned it supervision but they seem to think I'm the only one that likes them. Ive recommended they make double the batch but they have no clue. Visited here mid-week. Not a soul in the place, should have been an indication to leave, but we went against our better judgement and ordered anyway. The girl at the counter was unfriendly and well, just rude. No smile, no greeting, and just looked like she hated life. Look, get another job if you're not happy there okay? Ordered the half sandwich and soup, another half salad and soup, kids pb&j and kids mac & cheese. $40 and change...yeah we could have went to a restaurant with actual service for that much money. The food came out, bit into my steak and cheddar panini...all bread. Opened it...2 tiny squares of meat. Kids pb&j dry as dry could be. Kids mac & cheese, seriously about 10 noodles. Plus all this comes with no drinks! So we take the sandwich up to the counter and ask for more meat showing them the two tiny squares. They look at us like we're insane and respond it's pre-measured. Okay well I'd like more meat. Yeah it's all pre-measured so I don't know what you want me to do. I'd like some meat on the sandwich I paid $10 for. Well it's all pre-measured. Yes we've established that but I'm not satisfied with these two tiny squares of meat. (And maybe a pre-measurer screwed up or dropped some no?) Okay but it's all pre-measured but I guess I'll make you another one. So it comes out and another girl said I just wanted to let you know that all our meat is pre-measured, so next time you'll have to ask and pay for double meat. (Don't worry pre-teen there won't be a next time) Yes I heard that but look at this...this is your pre-measured amount? She said yes 1.75oz. (It was not even 0.5oz) but whatever. I am a regular loyal customer of Panera and this morning I can't help but write this review. I accidentally ordered a dozen bagels (sliced and toasted) + a small tub of coffee at this location and realized my error when I arrived at the correct location. I call the catering rep and proceeded to cancel my order along with an apology for the mistake. She proceeded to argue with me and state "so I sliced and toasted these bagels for nothing?!" I apologized again as I am not one for wasting food, however, there was no way I could've picked them up as I was already on the other side of town. She kept arguing with me telling me the same thing over and over, that "she sliced and toasted the bagels for nothing and she'd have to throw them all away. I felt terrible but there was nothing I can do. People make mistakes, I was truly apologetic but to sit there and argue with me about my error was not very professional or service oriented.
