It'd be a great location if they got your order right. Ive been to this location many times and have have an issue with my order 90% of the time. I've learned to check my order before leaving but there's only so much I can do as far as checking my food when standing there. I shouldn't have to open my food and dig through my salad or sandwich to make sure all my ingredients are in my order. If I'm paying $10 for a salad it better all be there. I've tried calling just to see if I can get my order fixed and no one ever answers the phone. I feel like this entire store needs to go back to training including management. My sister made us come here for her birthday brunch, ughhhh I don't know why but I just don't care for Panera. The turkey avocado sandwich was just ok and actually didn't like it. I also got a pecan muffin roll thing and didn't care for that either. Please go to a different Panera. Not only are they extremely slow, always have customers upset by the wait or wrong order, but they also have the worst customer service. This morning I placed an online order for pick up and within seconds of hitting submit, I realized I clicked on a sandwich that contained chicken when I don't eat meat. So I immediately called the store and no one answered. I proceeded to call 8 times where once again no one answered. So I went to the store and talked to a woman in person. She was very standoffish and told me it was too bad because the food was already made... well if they would've answered the phone one of the eight times that I called, the food wouldn't have been made and they would've corrected it. So instead I had to pay $12 for 2 mediocre sandwiches, one of which I couldn't even eat. I understand that it was a customer error, but to be extremely dismissive and not try to help at all when you work in customer service is ridiculous. I work at a food chain and while it can be annoying to correct an order that a customer made a mistake on, I would never tell them it's too bad. I've had to drive back to this specific Panera multiple times because they have messed up my order, but never complained or left a bad review because I understand that mistakes happen. I enjoy coming here in the morning for breakfast for so many variety menu options. What I want to talk about is the amazing team that work at this location. I could be running late to work and I could count on them that they never let me down as getting my sandwiches out so quickly. They're very efficient and friendly no matter how busy they are. Pricey enough that you expect a decent meal. I've added a picture that represents 1/2 of my $10 cuban sandwich, the other half of the sandwich was slightly better, but this half was literally only partially covered with meat or anything - really poor job whoever made it. Food is consistent as with other locations. However, this is the dirtiest Panera I've been to! My husband and I stayed about 3 1/2 hours working on our laptops and it took on average 20 minutes just to clear the tables. One table out side was left dirty the entire time we were there!!! They didn't wipe off any of the tables. Pretty much every table had crumbs all over! When we ordered our food, everything looked and tasted fine, but my silverware was grimy, like it wasn't washed. When I went to get my drink, three of the soda dispensers were out of soda (the coke was coming out clear). Then, the people sitting near us had been waiting for food for over 20 mins only to find out that the order for the food they bought wasn't even pit in!! I love love love panera but today I was very disappointed and discouraged when I picked up my order. It was not until I returned to my office that I saw this incredibly burned bagel on my desk I didn't know if I should toss it or try eating it so I took a bite but was horrible awaken by the bitterness of my burned bagel. DECEPTIVE business. This morning I went in at 6:10am to get coffee and a bagel. The coffee sign said it was made at 7:05am. Thinking it was an honest mistake, I told the manager her coffee was from the future. She seemed very surprised at the mistake. When I left at around 7:10am, the same coffee was out with the same 7:05am sign. All customers thought they were getting fresh coffee only 5 minutes old when it was over an hour old at least. This leads me to believe that it was surely not a mistake. This location is deliberately dishonest with their customers about the freshness of their coffee. read more

Overall this was an underwhelming experience. While waiting in line another cashier came near the front counter but just stood there about 3 steps back so I wasn't sure if she was serving anyone. I asked if she was taking order. She just nodded her head once. Aside from telling me my total she didn't speak or smile. When my food was brought to my table I was asked if I needed anything else. I said no. However I quickly realized I only had a knife on my plate and no spoon. I ordered a bowl of soup. I walked up to the counter and asked for a spoon they gave me a plastic spoon and said are you ok with a plastic spoon or do you want me to go find you a metal one. I just took the plastic spoon. On our first visit the amount of food for the money wasn't worth the visit. Thought we would try again as they had a few new sandwiches they had advertised that looked good. First we were told they were out of things needed to make the new sandwiches. We had driven a ways so we decided to order other sandwiches. Before paying the register asked what percentage of tip we may want to add to the bill. Why would we tip just for taking our order, having to get our own drinks, having to wait too long for our order, then having to pick up our order at the pick up counter. The sandwiches were just OK but with just a small bag of chips the small amount of food wasn't worth the price. We could have had a nice dinner with plenty of food for the same price at other local restaurants that have service worth a tip. Beside all this we noticed most people were also clearing their own tables so others, who were waiting, could find a table. I was so excited when they opened this Panera because I love the other ones I've gone to, but I've been disappointed with it since it opened. The food is never that good, often times if I order a panini or grilled cheese part of it is burnt. Multiple times I've ordered salads with ingredients missing or it's swimming in dressing. The worst part is that I feel like this place is ALWAYS dirty. If you're looking for a place to sit, the tables are always dirty. The area where they have the fountain drinks is the worst- I always feel uncomfortable when I'm there because everything just looks dirty! The Panera location at 1053 E. 19th in Upland, Ca. is the worst kept Panera I have ate. I enjoy Panera however I live only a couple of miles form this location and have gone since their opening; each time hoping there has been a change in the Manager and/or a change in the cleanliness of the restaurant. Previously in speaking with the Manager (female, older) she communicated to me that I needed to stipulate everything as to what bread, hot or cold, horseradish or not, etc.. I asked in my visits to other Panera locations the person ordering asks these questions. I said so the staff is right and the customer is wrong? She said apparently. I asked to confirm what she just said that the customer in her location is not right? She replied, YES!! Last evening 11/26 was the WORST! and, the manager wasn't there on a Friday evening. Not only were their many dirty tables, spilled food and trash under the table, NONE of the napkin holders had any napkin and empty trays with food left at each one of the locations where customers leave them. Lastly, in the early evening 5:00 to 7:00 o'clock many of the tables are taken by students with only a drink and have stayed for over two hours leaving customers who wish to have dinner with only tables as these students use the booths so they can have the closeness to talk to each other. In closing for Panera Corporate: This has to be one of your Premier locations so whoever is the Regional Manager best get out to this location at most evenings so they can see the filth that is continuos in the location read more

Just came into buy some bread and bagels. A young Asian girl was at the register helping someone and other girl seemed to be counting pastries. The young Asian Girl finishes with the customer and then walks away from the counter. She did not say one word like "I'll be right back or anything. I'm left standing there. I finally had to ask the girl counting pastries if she could help me. Is it just me or does someone need to be taught you don't leave a customer standing there? As a lover of Panera, this Panera location definitely meets all of my expectations. The restaurant itself is very clean and very well kept and throughout my 4 hour stay, the staff rarely let the other guests' unfinished dishes out in the dining area. Also, the staff was unbelievably incredible and helpful. They seem to always have smiles on their faces and are willing to answer any questions and were able to refill the coffee and milk when none was left. Came into today 05/01/2019 around 10:00 am... ordered some bagels to go... the girl at the register was the same who handled the food as well... long story short... she grabs the paper bag from underneath the bagel slicer... in doing so she knocks over the the entire stack of bags onto the floor... Can you guess what she did next? Yes she picks up the bags off the floor and puts them right back under the bagel slicer... She didn't even try to sneakily do it... I usually meet with friends every Tuesday morning at the Campus Panera in Upland. My ritual is to look for something to wipe down the tables and seating area. This is at 7 am ! I've complained to management and things are never better. We were told that store was under new management. The environment is typically very nice and inviting. That is 8 months ago. This use to be our little groups favorite place. I just ordered my usual and when it was delivered it Didn't look too appetizing. I asked for napkins and they said they ran out. If you don't have cream cheese then advertise it. They're coffee is inconsistent and the counter clerks are the least friendly people I've ran into. This was great and allowed a lot of people to place their orders and then sit down; however, I don't think they were staffed enough on the back end to handle the lunch rush. The food took FOREVER. My 1st few visits were right after the grand opening and, needless to say, they had to work out the kinks. Now it's a fabulous little eatery that I frequent with my family. My favorite part of the menu is the Pick 2. I can mix & match my meal to my appetite for the day & everything I've had so far is amazing! The seating, indoor & out, is very nice & the staff keeps up on cleaning & bussing tables regularly. I prefer the patio area because I can be outdoors & warm (they have heaters throughout the patio). The staff was incessantly sweeping the carpet with a broom and long-handled dust pan right near tables where people are trying to eat. Having carpet particles flicked up into food isn't appetizing. Then, when I finished eating, while I was trying to focus to get some work done before leaving, there's a constant crashing of the broom into the dustpan for a straight 20 minutes. He came around my booth at least 3 times. The management needs to train employees to think from the Customer point of view.
