This place is bad, and consistently gets worse. Let me review my last few visits here.
Previous visit: we ordered a cup of Broccoli Cheddar Soup. When my boyfriend finished eating it, he noticed red crust all over the bottom of the bowl, which nothing in his soup is red. He literally scraped it off with a knife and brought it to an employee, who just said oh sorry, and took the dish in the back. THAT IS DISGUSTING - CLEAN YOUR DISHES BETTER OR THROW THEM OUT.
This is a rant, but I tried contacting Panera about this visit and they didn't want to help any. So here is my last visit:
Our last visit was on 2/17, at around 8pm. Laria took our order. I ordered a pick two, with a Turkey sandwich. "which one?" she says. I say "turkey" because that is literally what it says on the board. She then gets defensive and starts spouting off every item on the menu with turkey in it. I said "I just want the turkey sandwich that it shows up there, it literally just says turkey so I don't know what else to say?" I've ordered this sandwich on almost every single visit, at any store, and have NEVER had this issue. As I'm trying to explain that, she is just standing there repeating all the items with turkey on them. So after a few seconds of her arguing, I said forget it, I just want a Chicken Caesar Salad with no cheese (I had to say no cheese like 6x because she was still arguing over me about the Turkey sandwich). Anyways. So I got the salad and I got a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup, and my boyfriend got the Bacon Turkey Bravo and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Also, she didn't ask for my Panera card, soo I didn't even get my points for the visit....
My salad came out with cheese. The soup I got was the bottom of the barrel, as I literally had a single scoop with any ingredients other than broth in it. My boyfriend received the wrong soup. We didn't get any knifes to spread sauces, we had to go ask. Then we had to ask again for butter, which was frozen so it was useless. Then we had to ask again for water cups because there weren't any out. Nothing was stocked by the drink machine, no condiments or napkins either. My salad was remade and his soup was remade, I didn't even bother about asking for new soup at this point. I asked the helpful girl that was getting us everything we needed if the employee who was ringing orders was new, and she kinda sighed and said no - as if this was a normal occurrence.
We cleared our dishes and went to throw everything away. An employee came up yelling "I got it, I got it, JUST LEAVE IT" to us, and snatched the dishes out of our hands and slammed them around as he changed out the dish bucket and trash. Like dang dude, we had it, we didn't need help or your attitude for doing what we are supposed to do.
This place may be busy, but it's only because of convenience. If I'm paying $25 for a couple half salads and sandwiches, it better be right, or else I'll go to a sit down restaurant for the same food and better service. read more
