It's been eons since I've eaten at a Panera... I was excited to give it a try as I needed to kill time between meetings. And kept it simple, sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel with a coffee Maybe it's because I have not been in so long, or perhaps I ordered smartly, but it was very good for what it is It doesn't replace the local delis or bagel places that are far superior... But if in the area, perhaps with a group of people with a wide array of dietary needs or wants... This place is good. Sadly, I have seemed to have forgotten about them over the last decade Service was excellent, people were friendly... I will not come out of my way to come back, but if in the area at breakfast time, I'll give it another shot read more

Panera Bread - Sausage & Egg Asiago Bagel Stack (sub for everything bagel). - Sandwiches Near Me - Torrington, Connecticut

I go to this Panera all the time, mainly for the Unlimited Sips Club -- $14/month for unlimited coffee is a huge win for me and saves me tons compared to grabbing coffee anywhere else. The staff here is usually friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is nice for sitting down to get a little work done or just relax with a cup. Sometimes they're out of certain bakery items later in the day, but overall it's clean, convenient, and the unlimited coffee makes it worth it every time. read more

I hate giving reviews like this. But when I've written about this place for years, and they make no attempt to,read their reviews or take any of our advice to heart, you know the manager is simply stubborn and could care less what people think. It's down to his bottom dollar, nothing more. I just ordered a meal for my husband tonight. He was sick and I just got over being sick. We needed some comfort food soup salad and sandwiches, and their amazing Lemon Drop cookie which I hear is being discontinued. When the order arrived my tomato soup, which is tiny to begin with, had a solid inch of empty space at the top. This Panera is notoriously stingy. The Green Goddess salad was also not topped off. My full chicken sandwich had 2 onions on it barely any cheese, and the chicken was rubbery dry and cold. At the end of our meal, we discovered there was a pizza at the very bottom of the bag, which obviously belonged in someone else's order. Let me tell you this is not something you want to order from Panera to go. Much better when you eat it there. It's also a little too salty This Panera needs a reboot, better training, with less stingy manager. read more

Food was good as always, but when I ordered the lady kept not hearing me even though I was talking loud. Food took about 8-10 mins because there was another person before us. Food was mild to decently expensive, and the ambiance was okay when I have gone before for dine in. If the food was a little bit faster, and if the lady could hear me the first time, I would give 4 stars. This is place is just ok. read more

It's 7:00 Pm on a sunday night. There is only 6 people dining and at least 7 workers. Every booth was dirty and also several tables. during the entire time we were eating no one came to clean up.It is unfortunate the environment is so badly neglected because the soup and sandwiches were very good. The dirty dining room definitely took away from the experience and the desire to come back read more

I have always gotten good food with a great price. I have no complaints except one, I really appreciate the delivery option and unfortunately that's not a option with Hong Kong Star! I always have enjoyed this spot except for that and the owner who said just come here and save was very wrong. read more

Terrible service. Terrible food. Ridiculously expensive. Just go somewhere else. There is nothing good to say about this place.

Was continuously harassed by employees while scrolling on the kiosk. They bagged my to go order in 3 separate bags. I had to wait for each individual item. Next time chipotle will be my lunch option. read more

This is the worst Panera I have ever been to. It doesn't matter what you order here, it's always tiny portion, stale and old tasting ingredients. The coffee always has coffee grounds in the bottom /gross/ . Even the pastries taste old. I've only been inside once, as usually I use the drive thru, but it was deserted and depressing, slightly dingy too. If you have to eat here, for whatever reason, their cranberry orange muffins are surprisingly still decent. Oh and I tried their new chicken sandwich thing and it was underwhelming, the fried chicken was very hard and dry, also flavorless. read more

Absolutely the WORST managed Panera out there. For the THIRD time in 3 months the kitchen has failed to put my whole order in the bag. This time a friend picked it up for me on the way to my house and didn't check the bag before driving over. It's a disgrace. Are they intentionally cheating their Torrington customers??? read more

My 1st time trying this place I just never really cared for trying it until someone gave me a gift certificate, so I ordered a blt sandwich and Mac n cheese. What I got in a sandwich was totally different then what I ordered it was a turkey I think with bacon and Alvacado, it was a extremely dry sandwich I tried it and wasn't a fan. Now the Mac n Cheese was a different story that was banging good, if I ever crave a good Mac n cheese I know where I am heading to, just for these two items it was almost $25 just not worth it especially for a dry disgusting sandwich. read more

Back when I lived with a middle aged yet grossly irresponsible roommate who charged me for internet yet neglected to pay for it, I abused the hell out of the wifi here. They never chased me off for sitting there two hours with my laptop...but keep in mind I did actually buy food. Frontega Chicken and the chicken caesar salad is my favorite. The bacon, egg, and cheese on an asiago bagel is great at breakfast paired with a cherry smoothie. read more

The tables aren't always clean, but the food is fresh and the service friendly and attentive. The free wifi isn't a bad touch, and the atmosphere is pleasant despite the busy crowds they generally attract. We come here pretty often, and the food quality is very consistent. Great for a quick bite, a relaxed meal on the go or an impromptu but casual business meeting. read more

Panera Bread - The Crew of Panera Bread in Torrington with NervousRex on Tax Day - Sandwiches Near Me - Torrington, Connecticut

This Panera Bread really seems to have taken a dive since it opened. The dining area is cluttered and a bit grimey, and while the food is prepared quickly the quality is inconsistent. My sandwich had cheese on maybe a quarter of the bread, and it was melted on so it's not like it shifted when I was eating. The staff is friendly and accommodating though - even though we were there close to closing they took it in stride and without nasty glances. read more

Panera Bread - A little more cheese please! - Sandwiches Near Me - Torrington, Connecticut

Good food very reliable and consistent my friend ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was the best sandwich ever had and he's had a lot of sandwiches. We went to the one in Torrington and it was consistent with what I would expect from Panera read more

I just left Panera in Torrington and I'm always disappointed. I thought maybe mistakes here ans there ok stuff happens but when I go to the drive thru and the repeat the Order back I expect it to be in my bag correctly. I spend 30$ there today to completely have an entire half of my order not even there. I will not go back to the Torrington location they need to get their shit together ! So disappointed read more

I've been to this Panera Bread multiple times and there is nothing negative to say The food is excellent and is ready fairly quickly. The lines are sometimes long but they move quickly. The prices are average/fair The pastries/sweets are amazing! I would recommend this place for breakfast or lunch read more

A better-than-average Panera. Thoughtfully designed, fireplace (!), quick service, and very clean. Minor complaints: They consistently run out of souffles during breakfast. This is a tragedy. If you're awake, you deserve a souffle. If they seem to be AWOL, ask before giving up. Also, while most staffers are nice, some are oddly abrupt. One halfheartedly tried to get me to sign up for their loyalty card. When I asked what the benefits are, I got a blank look. Then, "free stuff." I passed. read more

This is literally the worst Panera chain. They are always out of bread (wtf?) and I just left with a 90%-water-10%-iced tea. It's 7pm. How are you out of bread..... and can't brew iced tea.... at 7pm read more

I'm sorry, but one star is too generous for this location! No matter how many times you have to repeat your order at the drive thru, 9/10 times its still wrong! I stopped ordering food and decided to stick with something simple like a breakfast tea with skim milk only; but no, they cant even get that right! It's either breakfast tea with cream, or herbal tea with milk. I'm done having to pull around and go in to have them fix it, and have them act like I'm inconveniencing them. They did make it right one day this week, and i happened to order a bagel too to give them another chance on the food side, however when i went to enjoy my toasted Asiago cheese bagel with chive cream cheese i discovered a plain bagel with plain cream cheese! Don't waste your time or money here, they obviously don't know a thing about customer service! read more

I love the customer service, the new drive thru and the different choices each time I come in from soups to sandwiches. I love meeting here with friends or clients and never been asked to leave after spending a few hours at a time. read more

Our work placed a few orders for lunch today. We are beyond disappointed. The past few times haven't been great but we figured let's give it another shot. The salad I ordered didn't have much lettuce for the full size. A lot of the salad was wilted or not good. There was way too much chicken. The avocados were so bad. For $22.00 for lunch is totally unacceptable to be using inferior old ingredients. My co worker said her salad was wilted and found a hair. She religiously orders weekly from Panera. It's sad that due to covid the quality standards have gone down so much. Shortly after eating some of the salad, my stomach started getting upset. We're disappointed. read more

went there and my boyfriend ordered me a regular drink mistakenly. we asked for a large at the window and the girl filled my cup with ice nearly entirely to retaliate. girl you make $10 an hour why you so pressed read more

Sure the staff is friendly enough but WHY is it so difficult to get an order right? It's not "once in a while" that we either get the wrong size coffee or they forget the flavor syrup. This morning no different. Ordered cold brew coffee through the app. Received small sizes instead of large. When the coffee was re-made for us, they gave regular ice coffee instead of cold brew. Cold brew is better for my stomach and why I pay more for it. We go to this Panera in Torrington because it's closer to our home but not anymore, will go a bit farther for better service. Apparently the manager doesn't care so go somewhere else people! read more

We come here occasionally still and my review still stands. Lines move quick, food comes fast and hot. I enjoy that they change some of the sandwiches and soups seasonally. My husband got the Chipotle Chicken Panini and I had the Cuban Panini and they were both great...I actually would like to go back sooner than later and have that Cuban again! The squash soup...ehhhh, little to thick and sweet for me. read more

My favorite place to get a quick, tasty sandwich. The orders always come out super fast, and while the place is a bit too small for the business it does, the atmosphere is still cozy. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a healthier but still quick breakfast or lunch! read more

Panera Bread - Sandwich and salad combo with a half turkey bacon bravo and ceasar salad. - Sandwiches Near Me - Torrington, Connecticut

Went here with my mom for lunch. I ordered the new Modern Caprese and a bowl of broccoli cheddar. The sandwich was phenomenal tasting, but only had one clump of mozzarella cheese on it that was about the size of a half dollar, and the soup was pretty salty. Giving it a 3 star because the staff was unresponsive when ordering and when picking up our food from the counter, and because of the above comments read more

Love their breakfast sandwiches and coffee drinks wayyyyyyyy more than Dunkin. I like it even more because I can opt to get egg whites which a lot of places don't offer. And now I can stop there more instead because they have a drive through! read more

Lately Panera's coffee has been horrible. Coffee is either bitter, may be because of lack of cleaning the pot as often, or it is lukewarm or the morning roast has been real strong. I don't understand why their coffee was so good at one time and so bad now. Also, the menu took off 2 sandwiches that I liked. I will not go back for a long time. read more

Typical panera. Not the cleanest or quickest, but certainly not the worst.

I don't mind the food at all, for the most part it tastes fine but can't stand the prices - way too high for that kind of food. My main problem is the customer service. Every single time I go there, without fail, there's a problem with the "cook". He is extremely rude and lazy. I asked for a soba noodle broth bowl (they were advertising it all over tv so I HAD to have one) and the girl puts the order in and the "cook" is just slouching against the corner nodding his head and yelling from across the room that he's not ready to do one yet. I'm literally standing right there, the poor cashier was so embarrassed bc he was throwing some major attitude our way. Okay, I thought maybe this was a one time incident, yesterday I went in to get a soup to go and I waited in line and saw the same lazy "cook" slouching around and I hear him say "ugh what the hell is this?" As he reads my ticket order. What is it? How about it's an order where you literally scoop the soup out with a ladle and put it in a container and throw in some plastic ware and bread for me and call it a damn day. What the hell is it? It's how you're able to receive your paycheck. So wake up, if you aren't happy with your job, move aside and let someone else do it with a smile on their face instead of a sourpuss like yours. read more

the absolute best option for us delicious food, coffee , soups , pastries , salads etc... yum no contact delivery has been awesome as well Thank you for all at Panera for such an upstanding meal option as we're going through such trying times read more

Not the best experience today. Ordered the Mediterranian sandwich which comes with cilantro-jalapeño hummus. When I got my sandwich, it had traditional mayo on it. I'm upset one, because I'm allergic to mayo. But two, that the manager tried to tell me it was the special hummus. It was white with the consistency of mayo... not yellowish and granulated like hummus. It wasn't even spicy or resembled regular hummus. You can't just put whatever you feel like on peoples' sandwiches especially if they didn't ask for it or asked for something else. The kid at the counter was nice enough to have it remade and offered me another bag of chips, bread, or an apple, which is why they get two stars instead of one, but still VERY disappointed... read more

Went there to meet some family for breakfast and was so disappointed by the food. I ordered coffee and an orange scone - the hazelnut coffee was weak and had very little hazelnut flavor (and I drink it black so it was straight out of the pot!) - the scone was dry and did not taste fresh baked. I bought a couple of bagels to take home for breakfast today and should not have bothered - very little cheese flavor in mine and very little cinnamon crunch flavor in my husband's bagel. I don't know what has happened to this chain - we have been to a couple of other Panera restaurants lately and have noticed that something has changed- food and coffee both taste bland - too bad, used to love their food! read more
