Had a horrible breakfast experience today. Our order was completely wrong and they also disregarded modifications due to an allergy. We called to express our concerns and the worker, Karen, seemed annoyed and did not even apologize. She had treated us rudely when we went to pick up the food as well. I have been a loyal customer of Panera Bread for a very long time and understand mistakes happen. Some mistakes I had previously encountered at this Panera were wrong orders (they gave me someone else's salad instead of my soup), missing orders from my order out (They only put one part of my you pick two), and even missing ingredients (I ordered an avocado, which is an additional charge, with my sandwich and never received it). I let all those issues slide because clearly mistakes can happen. However, my experience today was horrible. There was a disgusting bug moving around in my feta cheese, it was an insect a little bit bigger than a fruit fly squirming around my salad, stuck in a piece of feta cheese. I have long been a fairly big fan of Panera so I was extremely happy when they open this one with a drive-thru. Being handicapped, the drive-through makes my life a lot easier. Unfortunately this Panera seems to have some issues. Now one of the main reasons I come to Panera is that I'm a big fan of one of their breads. But this restaurant has no consistency. Sometimes the breads are what I would consider normal and then other times they're fairly skinny. And whoever is baking them also has a tendency to overcook and indeed burn them occasionally. Additionally they seem to have no coordination with the mobile app. It will say a certain item is available but when you get there they give you the look. We don't have it. We ran out. I find this particularly problematic because I will order things on the app before leaving my house and drive 10 miles round trip to come pick it up so to arrive and find it they don't have that presents major issues for me. I was hoping that the problems were just growing pains with a new store but they've been open long enough now to have shaped out the bugs but unfortunately that does not seem to have happened. What can you expect? Well, compared to other experiences with Panera, ALOT more. You can tell when place is more focused on "service" and not "hospitality". I tried to have as little interaction with staff as possible, so as to review just the food. For starters, my sandwich was missing a few ingredients, and when a guest pays extra for those toppings, you probably shouldn't miss those modifiers. The flatbread pizza wasn't all too exciting, I was going to order a chipotle chicken and bacon flatbread, but I thought just to be safe let's go with a margherita flatbread. They can't mess that up. Yea, well it was missing basil. That's kind of a key ingredient. Basil, tomato, cheese, and sauce. The flatbread looked like it was sliced blindfolded and in a hurry. It looked like puzzle pieces. I placed an order at 10am for it to be delivered at 11:45-12:00 pm. One hour after the pre-order delivery window, I still hadn't received my food. When I called to inquire about the status of my delivery, whoever I spoke to proceeded to cut me off and kept saying my order was on the way and that she just handed the food to the driver. She completely negated the fact that the whole purpose of placing a pre-order is to receive the items within a specific time frame. I loved ordering from this Panera. I'm a flight attendant so I catered one of my flights with their soups and salad options and everything was fresh and well packaged and the inside of the store was clean and organized. Their customer service is especially wonderful. Anyone I spoke to on the phone, the girl in the drive thru, the employees at the desk, the kitchen helpers.. they really went out of their way to be helpful. Their manager David Cano even helped me take the bags to my car! We experienced one minor mistake with my large order but Mr Cano was prompt, friendly, courteous, and fair with rectifying the issue. I would definitely recommend this Location and my only suggestion to Panera: Double check your itemized checklists to make sure you got it all! If I could give this Panera bread zero stars I would. I eat a Paleo diet. I ordered by Southwest chicken salad. I had a lot of deletions because of my diet. So when I got the salad I checked before he left. Good thing I did. The salad just was just lettuce and chopped up avocado. Yep they forgot the chicken. How do you forget the chicken in a chicken salad? I don't know. Anyway it it was extremely overpriced and mediocre. Seven and change for a half salad. But the part I'm pissed at is minuscule amount of chicken i got. What you can see in the photos. I was so upset what's the serving size. I weighed it on my home food scale.
