Arriving- They are in a huge plaza northbound on US Rute 27. Turn in when you see the MickyD's in front of it. Parking is a snap. Ambience- Way, way nicer than most casual buffets. Fancy lighting. There is an actual Koi pond with an ornamental bridge the kiddos will love. It's a big place with both booths and tables. Clean Men's restroom. I didn't check the Ladie's room because I wanted to avoid the screaming that would ensue! Casual dress or less is just fine. Customer Service- They bring your drinks and clear the plates. I've never had a problem, and they bring your check quickly. Pricing- Weekday lunch is around $15. Dinner is about $2 more. Dinner prices all day on Sunday. Extra seafood on Friday & Saturday nights. There is a small Senior Discount and special prices for the munchkins. There is a counter when you walk in, where you can pay before you are seated. I've never done that! I pay the server when I'm done and that's also just fine. Pro Tip #1- They do offer a full menu instead of the buffet and after dozens of visits, I've never noticed anyone ordering from it! Pro Tip #2- If your party is 6 or more, they are happy to make a reservation. Trust me and do it. Food- Eight buffet tables in the center of the room and a Sushi table and Hibachi Station along one wall. Over 100 choices. They have hand-dipped ice cream for dessert that is very popular. Pro Tip #3- The sushi table is very generic and that's not why you come here. The same is true of the few American items. Come here for Chinese food! Be a smart buffet patron and make your first trip a sampler plate. Go back for the selections you like best. 100 items will satisfy just about everyone. There is nothing fancy here. This is solid Chinese food, and you've seen most everything at other places. That's not a bad thing! Occasionally, one of my selections is not as hot as I would like but that is rare. The dog is Kosher, but the meal is not because it is grilled on the same grill as bacon and other stuff. Bottom line, they start with a great dog. 2. The dog is split lengthwise before it is grilled. Because of this it needs a slighter bigger bun. More about this later. 3. All the burger toppings are available for the dog. Pro Tip #1- If you are insane, you can order cheese on your dog here. If you do, they will use a Kraft Single! Crazy right! I would rather have a root canal with no pain meds than do that! Pricing- 5Gs is infamous for being spendy! I call it the "Gasp!" factor. I ordered a dog, small Cajun Fries and a small drink and it set me back $14.49. This is much better than a burger meal so the gasping is much less. Presentation- You know the deal. The dog is wrapped in foil and at the bottom of a brown paper bag. On top are about a bazillion delicious fries. Pro Tip #2- Many folks think the fries should be crisper. Just ask and they will be happy to accommodate you and make them extra crispy! Unwrap the foil and you'll immediately see what I mean about the slighter bigger bun. I don't normally cut my dog in half but I did for this review so you can see a cross-section of the split dog. Taste- This is one seriously good dog! You get a nice snap when you bite into it. You can really taste the beef and it is very nicely grilled and caramelized. Among the big chains, most reviews place this dog in the top 3 and sometimes #1 in the country! I would agree. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves.
