It was raining and i didnt feel like getting out so i thought i would try out their delivery system. So i placed the delivery order and could track the drivers vehicle. To my surprise the very friendly driver, Brooke greeted me at the door with a nice smile and great attitude even though she was wet and cold and had delivered to the whole city. She said she had been extremely busy. So if you 'choose to use the delivery system be sure to ask for Brooke in the comment section. You can tell she really enjoys her job. Wow, I just don't know where to start!! This place is absolutely horrible. Insane prices for basically a couple pieces of bread. My wife, mom, and I all ordered chicken salad sandwiches. When we lifted the bread to see the chicken salad it was the most miniscule amount, it looked like a smear of mayo. My wife took hers back up to the kitchen window and asked if it was a mistake but they said "we only give one scoop", our portion was not even a teaspoon scoop, it was a smear. It was enough to cover one pickle slice. We really thought they were pranking us. I wish I would have taken a picture but I was so mad after spending $60 that I didn't know what to do. I really think the staff must get to take home whatever food is left over each night so they didn't want to give us a normal portion. Otherwise, I really don't know how the places could stay in business. Also, why do they give you a hard piece of bread loaf as a side with your sandwhich? This was my first experience with Panera Rockwall and I was very pleased. I ordered online and had it delivered. The delivery was very fast and food was great! We had a ham and swiss sandwich, a bowl of potato and chicken noodle soup. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was my baguette was just thrown in the bottom of the bag without wrapper or anything. read more

I continue to wonder why anyone frequents this place. They only had 3 soups as they were out of the "popular" ones...Also out of baguettes. Oh, I ordered Chicken Tortilini...out of Chicken! My Tortilini was delivered luke warm with no chicken. When I took my dish back to the serving window the cook indicated she could come up with "other" chicken...So when my cold dish was returned, it had a cold chicken breast that was used for salads, cut up on top of my already-even colder-tortilini. The whole dish was cold. What a rip-off for $10 and then having employees not fix what was ordered. There were no napkins in the napkin holder and no plastic tops for medium drink glasses. Whoever is in charge of provisioning for this place needs lessons in how to order and maintain inventory. Napkins and drink lids do not perish. Honestly I love Panera Bread. But this one in rockwall sucks. Everytime I go there without fail there is an issue. Whether it be the food or service... food never comes out hot and always given the smallest portion. The service is terrible as well. How can you run a business with unfriendly, "I don't care about you or my job" attitude. The food runners and cashier act like they could care less if you're there. I wish this place was better managed and had better employees. But it doesn't. Other Panera's I have been to in the Dallas area are great! No issues at all. I drive through here in the mornings in about 90% of the time they're out of the souffles and then I have to sit through the drive-thru line for 15 minutes just to get out of it and not even get what I want! Do not waste your time and your money coming here when I've been here for lunch the sandwiches have been soggy and the soup is been cold and the breakfast is usually unavailable so don't even bother wasting your time sitting in the Drive-Thru for 10 minutes! Went there yesterday wanting to give it a shot. Always welcome a good place to eat in Rockwall. It was my daughter and I. After ordering a half sandwich, a salad, tea and smoothie... lo and behold...$30. Hmmm... perhaps she made a mistake? When I inquired, she rolled her eyes (Yes! She actually rolled her eyes) and asked to review the ticket. She said it was correct. I agreed although I was a bit surprised. So we waited. And waited. And waited. And waited. A line was forming behind us. After a long while she gives me my smoothie and tea. We waited some more and she hands me a paper sack: I asked my daughter to make sure we got everything. Good thing too, because we did not get my salad. So we waited a while longer. We left with everything (my salad came with a sad piece of baguette just tossed in the sack as a pathetic afterthought), and an exasperated look from attendant. Once I got home I eagerly tried the salad (I figured I had paid dearly for it). It was gross (mainly the dressing was some sort of yellow thick seedy nasty goo). I'm a returning Panera lover, I go probably twice a week to my normal location in Austin. I have recently moved and was beyond thrilled to see a Panera near my new residence. When I walked in all the employees behind the counter stood and blankly stared at each other as if confused why I, a customer, walked in. One finally stepped up and used the excuse that they're in training.... okay. After ordering my Mediterranean veggie sandwich (I'm vegetarian and lactase intolerant) i included no feta cheese. Waiting approximately 15 minute for the food to come out (the place is practically dead) my sandwich is delivered.... and no surprise, it has feta. I politely bring it back and remind them of my order and they say they'll remake it. A minute later one of the "trainees" approached my table in a scared manner and informed me they're out of the tomato basil bread. She also then did the same to a couple sitting at another table. If they had gotten my food correct the first time there would be no issue. I work at a restaurant and if we get low on a certain food item the cooks inform the servers to stop offering it. The food here is not bad, but the prices are ridiculous, I mean RIDICULOUS, for what you get. Two small half sandwiches, two little bowls of soup and 2 drinks for $30! I could go to the store and feed 10 people soup and sandwiches that taste better for the same $30. Damian Aguillon is one of the workers that caught my attention when he was being kind and asking me if everything was ok with my food.

It's cold and raining so I decided to order online and pick it up in the drive thru. I done this at the Lewisville and San Marcos locations in the past with out s problem. It's supposed to be ready at 12:25. I arrive at 12:22 but there are 5 cars ahead of me. When I get to the speaker I tell her I'm picking up an online order and give her my name. She tells me they don't have an order for me and to get out of line and go inside. I explain there is no way to get out of line with 2 cars behind me and the point of ordering there was to not get out of my car. She tells me again to go inside. By the time I get to the window it's 12:30, past the time my order should be ready and I ask again. She tells me she doesn't have it and I have to come inside. I explain that I only ordered there so I didn't have to get out of the car and the order is now past the time it was supposed to be ready. She just stares at me. I asked for a refund and she states that she can't do that , I will have to come inside. The worst service ever. This location is an embarrassment to Panera Bread. read more

Love Panera amd was excited that Rockwall was getting one finally, however sadly I will most likely be driving to Mesquite or skipping it all together from now on. We've done the delivery and have been mostly satisfied, food was early or on time and for the most part correct, salads have been bit under par. For the price you would expect fresh crisp lettuce not limp and soggy. I admit I haven't tried ti dine in, but with 2 small children it's usually drive thru or delivery. There in lies a huge problem for this location. The drive thru is a joke, from telling you something is available and get to the window and it's not, to charging for food to find out its not available ot being asked to wait 6 to 10 minutes. Then there is just not getting food into the bag, drive thru means I shouldn't have to go back into the resturaunt and get my food. 7 times now ive tried the drive thru with issues each time, and not to mention the wait, but I expect that a little. I've read through many of these reviews before coming into the Rockwall location, but decided to give it a try anyways. Luckily, I did and have come to see that these reviewers are way over-reacting.(I can guarantee 90% of these people who are reviewing have never worked in the food industry, and have no idea what work is truly put into it ;) ). I've had nothing but great service, food, and overall experience every time that I come in. There have been times when they ran out of lids or napkins, but its a restaurant. It happens. Same thing with dirty tables - IT HAPPENS. After just mentioning it to an employee, it gets fixed immediately. My order has had a few problems here and there, but the servers fixed it without hesitation and offered compensation for the issue. Treat others the way you want to be treated and you will never have a problem at this location, or any restaurant for that matter. Thanks so much Panera! read more
