I got a breakfast sandwich, it was completely burnt and even the non burnt parts tasted Low quality would not recommend

Cassandra at Panera Bread, Rockwall, deserves a reward for making impossible situations bright! My husband is very ill and I am his Caregiver. After receiving a birthday Panera gift card, I placed an order for my birthday dinner. I went on to the location in Rockwall to pick up my order. I took some of the computer's paperwork with me just in case it was needed. When no one came to curbside to bring my order, I decided to call to see the reason for the delay. Cassandra answered the telephone, looked to see if my order was ready, and then realized it had not even come to their store. She not only advised me of the situation, but came outside to my car to apologize and see what she could do. She saw my paperwork, and then asked me to please wait until she could fill our order. When she came back to my car, she not only had my order, but wished me a happy birthday and gave me a coffee cake for our breakfast the next morning. Cassandra is the type of employee who customers love. She goes the extra mile to put a smile on her customer's face and to let them know she cares. I recommend that Cassandra be given a raise and/or promotion. She stands head and shoulders above others who have served me at this establishment. A big thank you goes to Cassandra for caring about two older people who were looking forward to using Panera's products for their birthday dinner. We not only thought of her over our dinner, but the next day at breakfast as well. read more

Very disappointed with Rockwall's Panera Bread. I ordered a LARGE Mac and Cheese and this is what I received! Are you kidding me? The container was no more than half full!!! For the price of food and to receive not even half of the container is just a rip off! Don't waste your money! read more

I placed an order for bagels three days ago for Christmas breakfast. They just called to let me know they ran out of bagels! How does a bread store run out of bagels for preorders?!! Ordered their new Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli Bowl which was $10.99. You can count the broccoli pieces. Some over cooked & some raw. The portion is very small compared to the bowl & what is advertised photo. This is less than half of a bowl. Horrible service! Would not recommend this location. read more

Let's face it, it's Panera. They are all pretty much the same, but customer service can make or break you. In the case of this location it is a total fail!!! We recently ordered breakfast and when we went to pick it up we were told that they were all out of that item. Well no one called me and told me sorry we are all out of that item your order has been canceled. Why take my phone number if you are not going to use it? He was offered a lunch item because by that point breakfast had passed everywhere and he could only recieve lunch. But only liking their breakfast he declined. When I called to find out what happened the very hostile and defensive Annette yelled at me over the phone about how she did compensate for the mistake by refunding my money. She didn't seem to grasp the concept that refunding someone's money because you were unable to fulfill the order isn't compensation. She was extremely rude and aggressive. As for the food they are putting out lunch has been mediocre at best (which is why I didn't want the lunch option) and breakfast is good when they actually have it. read more

I've always loved Panera bread, but this trip was so disappointing. I spent over $20 on our meals that took over 25 minutes to get out. When it came out, the bowl of soup was not even half way filled and the sandwich looked and tasted like something I could have thrown together in my own kitchen for 1/20th of the price. You'd think 25 minutes they were baking some artisan bread fresh back there. I won't be back to Panera any time soon. What a disappointment. read more

You would expect good sandwiches from here but that is not what my wife and I got. We probably wouldn't have any problems if we ordered regular sandwiches, but we both got paninis. They came out with the grill marks on them but the insides of the sandwiches were just a touch over room temperature, the cheese wasn't melted at all. At least the cheese on my daughters grilled cheese was melted but the sandwich was also barely warm to the touch. The soups (French onion and Tomato) were good though, so two stars instead of one. If you do come here, just make sure to not order any paninis. read more

We ordered an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and and a cherry vanilla bagel. Both toasted. It took 30 minutes and they don't even put the cream cheese on for you. (only one other order in queue) Bagels tossed in the bag and put together mixed up - we each got half a cherry bagel and half an everything bagel. A blueberry cream cheese was thrown in there as well. Went back in to get a plain cream cheese and they acted like I was rude for asking them to correct my order. Decided to give them another chance and ordered delivery the next day. So disappointed. We paid 40 dollars for a basic lunch. Very little food and a missing item. Tortilla bowl tasted and smelled horrible and was inedible. "Steak" sandwich was more of a bread and o Jon sandwich. We did receive a partial refund, but were left irritated and still hungry. read more

I don't frequent this Panera, but I was in the neighborhood and hungry so I gave this one a shot hoping its current 2-star review wouldn't hit me. And it missed! The dine-in service wasn't too bad. I like to customize the heck out of my salad and sandwiches and using the Fast Lane kiosks was a breeze. The food was great--typical for any Panera Bread location. What could use some work are the restrooms. They need some attention. There's nothing like going to a restroom and seeing... ahem, "fluids of various colors" everywhere. Gross! Someone needs to take a high-pressure hose, start from the ceiling, and just work their way down. Service was decent. One thing I'm quite picky about is mumbling/inaudible servers and they exist here. Like, our server literally appeared like a genie next to our table with our food and whispered "Tara?" As surprised as we were to hear what sounded like an apparition, we turned to see it was our incredibly quiet server with our food. Funny, now that I look back on it, hehe. Other minor details: parking's ample, it's not a tough location to get to, and besides the restrooms, the place is clean. For a Sunday afternoon lunch, this place wasn't too bad. read more

My wife and I visited Panama Bread in Rockwall, TX tonight. Upon ordering two sandwiches and soups, we were told they were almost out of all bread/baguettes. No problem, however the cashier charged us extra for the alternate side. When getting our drinks, all of the teas were out of service, and the bins were OPEN sitting in the walkway floor. 35 minutes later, I had to find my food near the kitchen window. Our order was completely wrong and my wife's soup cold. We found it comedic that while eating our sub-par food, we counted three other customers requesting refunds for bad service as well. While the kitchen was completely dysfunctional, we noticed kitchen staff hanging out with friends at customer tables. We have never had a bad experience at a Panera Bread. Needless to say, we will not be dining at this location again. read more

I do not know why I keep giving this location more opportunities. Every time something is ridiculous regarding the food. Today I ordered the yogurt parfait (from my car in the parking lot using their app). There was minimal yogurt in the cup and it was room temperature. When I requested a new one and pointed this out they claimed it was likely because "it sat so long waiting to be picked up". No. Just no. I watched you set it in the box. Try again. This location is very clean inside but the service is hit or miss. They have less reliable order fulfillment than other locations. 3/3 times they forgot my proper toppings (am I being too picky?) My girlfriend and I stopped to grab lunch, and both got soup and salad. We approximately paid $33 but come to find out we both left still hungry and utterly disappointed. I got the new Asian salad and the vinaigrette was so sour it made my stomach churn. Next, the soup was actually pretty good but was missing ingredients (I know from previous dine ins at other Panera's). They did not get my side right when I asked for potato chips they gave me bread. Then lastly the mocha latte was a sad excuse for a latte. It tasted like no espresso was in it. It was straight up heated milk with mocha in it. Fast service even though I arrived late in the evening. The staff was feverishly cleaning and taking down coffee and beverage stands. Most of the bagels and danishes had been tossed already. If I could give this location negative stars, I would. I'm not sure why I keep trying to give them an opportunity to improve - it just ain't gonna happen. We came on Bagel Tuesday to get our 13 bagel special. Now, it's before noon so you'd think, that on a day when you can expect to probably serve more than the normal daily amount of bagels, they'd be prepared. Well, they're out of bagels. How the hell do you run out of bagels on Bagel Day? Then, we sat in the drive-thru for 8 minutes waiting for them to serve the car in front of us so we could get around. The other times I've been there, my order was incorrect, once I was overcharged, the food was of poor quality...I'm done. I was so happy when we first got Panera in Rockwall, however, my joy was short-lived. I still have to go to Mesquite or Dallas for decent Panera. Fix it!! read more

Be ready to wait 10+ minutes in the drive thru for something as simple as a bagel. It's the slowest Panera Bread I've ever been to. Handful of times they've put chicken on my meal when I requested no chicken, they've been out of bread numerous times..I think management could learn a thing or two from Chick-fil-a across the street. read more

Been several times since it's opened and they've left stuff out of orders, ran out of lettuce(?), long wait times, etc; but today they left a soup out of our order and when I called, the manager apologized on the phone, gave me a free pick-a-pair credit and personally delivered the missing soup himself with some cookies. I have been a Panera fan for a very long time. If I could give this Panera 0 stars I would! They NEVER seem to get my order right. I have ordered from this location multiple times trying to give them second chance after second chance and I have given up. One time they did get my Chicken Frontega correct..partially! This sandwich is supposed to be hot and grilled and yummy melted cheese. Well, the whole sandwich was cold like they slapped it together and didn't even care to hear anything up? The first time I went here after it opening it took an hour and 15 minutes to get my food. I was really mad after being late back to work. I thought I would try it a second time thinking it was just because they had a troubled start after opening. Front desk lady was nice but it took her about 10 minutes to get my food ordered right... I don't think she really understood the computer. Looked like a lack of training.... my food did come fast within 5 minutes and the boy who delivered the food was really nice and kind. Went to eat my food and and my breakfast sandwich was COLD!!!!! Not even luke warm, it was cold! Who wants to eat cold eggs and bacon?!? Gross!!!!!!!!! Sad to say this Panera just does not cut it. I have enjoyed your restaurant at different locations in the past. Tonight, my first experience in my hometown, I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the chicken tortellini alfredo  ($10) that barely satiated my petite 3 yr old.. Not only was the portion very small, the majority of the tortellini was undercooked/hard so we threw it out. I would have returned it but we picked up the meal and brought it home. The baguette was dry throughout. Also, we ordered steak/cheese panini that was made with 1 THIN layer of meat. Rockwall store made a mistake on my main dish. I called to alert them to the problem. They took my name and said I could come in anytime to get a replacement. I went in and asked for a manager. They verified I had been noted in their book, and replaced not only the one item but every item I ordered. Getting over a cold, they also gave me a free drink while I waited for my order. read more
