Ok, so I'm reviewing both eating at the restaurant and their via Panera catering. Eating there is pretty good...though I feel like it's a smaller location than others and doesn't have as much seating available and the parking can be a challenge because of the shopping center it's in. However, the food is good, they're usually pretty speedy at getting it to you, and the staff is friendly. I LOVE them for catering. I use them at work sometimes when we need a change of pace from the usual caterers we use. Sean, the catering coordinator, is fantastic. He's very accommodating and knows his clients...so much so that he remembers you when he talks to you, which is a nice touch. I'm pretty flexible and forgiving when it comes to catering deliveries...I know I'm NOT the only one out there that day who needed a delivery, so when the delivery is a few minutes late I'm not going to throw a fit...I pad my delivery time so it gives me an extra 15 minutes. Sean, though, always calls before he's late to tell you he might be a few minutes late, which is nice to know. So, if you want a Panera to eat at, this one is pretty good. But if you need catering for something, this Panera is by far the best! read more

I couldn't order what I wanted because there was no sourdough bread, ingredients not available for the chicken frontera or Asian salad. I ended up ordering the Greek salad to go. No baguette for my side item... go figure. The cashier threw my receipt away (no visit recorded for my rewards). I get home and then there's no dressing for my salad. I've come to this location a few times and every time the customer service is horrible and my order is messed up. Not to mention, the wait is long no matter the day. I love ordering a salad or soup and salad for lunch at this place. This is my favorite place to eat during the week. When in season, I order the strawberry poppyseed salad, but it is VERY sweet and some people would not like it for that reason. I have tried the tomato, onion, broccoli and potato soups and love them all. I am not really into sandwiches so I cannot speak to those in the review. I always grab an extra loaf of bread to take home to the kids and it taste so much better than what I get at the grocery store. The restaurant gets very busy and loud around noon and would not be good for meetings at that time, but I have seen people meeting at other times with no issues. read more

Ya may wonder why so many checkins? Ok it's next door to my nail place..and I have to get a mango smoothie every freking time cause they are light and yummy. The salads are huge, love the steak and blue cheese as well as the Cobb ( hold the egg!). The broccoli and cheese soup with a side salad is just the thing to order on a crappy cold day in Raleigh. My only complaint is the parking here..park over by Kohls and walk. Yes it's a little pricey but I never have had any not satisfying here..did I mention the highly addictive little egg soufflés? This is a great well-run Panera location. They always get my order right, even when I make changes to it. They seem to be able to reasonably keep up with crowds during heavy times like lunchtime and Sunday morning. You have to wait a little, but it is very reasonable and they are usually well staffed. As with all Paneras, I love that they have the calories posted on the menu. I have also recently started doing the online ordering, where you can come and pick it up and my order has been right and it is a great convenience. They keep the store really clean and the seats and tables are in pretty good shape, unlike some of the other older locations in the area. Highly recommend! read more

Went here with my mom. It was my first time, although she had tried it before. She warned me that after making several visits to this store, this Panera location did not meet typical Panera quality standards. Last time she went, she had a rotton vegetable in her salad. When she politely showed the manager, he didn't even apologize or offer to get her a new one. Despite this, we decided to try it again a few days ago. We ordered takeout, and I realized when we got home that I got a rotton apple with my soup. Absolutely disappointing! We had a great experience. I had the Lentil broth bowl with a Mediterranean panini and my wife had the Napa Almond chicken salad. Both were excellent. We got some pastries to go and when we realized we were given a cheese pastry instead of cherry and the associate simply gave us another. We ate outside on the patio and the tables were clean. I order from this Panera all the time and they constantly either mess up my order for delivery or it comes cold. I was going to give it a three star review but something last night stopped me. I went in with a gift card and they ran out of white bread so they made my mozerella tomato flatbread on sourdough. It was too small a sandwich and i said something so the guy made me another sandwich and even added the tomato because the first guy forgot. I want to take a moment and thank him for doing the proper thing because i come a lot. Thanks a lot. read more

Placed an order for delivery to be delivered between 1:32-1:42. 15 minutes after the latest delivery time, it is saying my order has not even left the store. I am normally understanding but I ordered the food to be delivered before I had to leave for work. I have called the store 3 times (manager line twice) to try and cancel my order and have received no answer. So it looks like my food will be delivered and I won't be home to eat it. read more

This establishment has become a rent and wifi free, no purchase required, office space for business folks who can't afford an office. Seating is hogged on weekdays by individuals conducting loud staff meetings and loud business calls at the expense and comfort of regular folks, with no apparent limit on occupancy. These people often make no purchases other than a cup of coffee. A good deal for just a couple of bucks considering what a real office would cost. The restaurant tables, chairs and floor are, more often than not, dirty and covered in food particles, requiring customers to clean their own tables before sitting down. Seldom see a staff member making any effort to do on-going cleaning. read more

Every time I'm forced to go to Panera, I try to tell myself it won't be that bad. And really at first glance it seems like their menu is healthy and has a good variety of things. They even have a special pick two deal which seems really great for mixing and matching.... except that it sucks. I got a cup of the Autumn Squash Soup and one of the Turkey Cranberry Flatbreads. Sounds pretty delish right? That's what I thought too. Except the soup was so sickeningly sweet it was almost uneatable and the flatbread was the saddest, smallest serving of any sandwich/flatbread/crostini thing I've ever gotten in my life. There was literally ONE piece of turkey in it and about 3 spinach leaves total. The flatbread was basically a tortilla maybe 5 inches in diameter folded across. I paid over $10 for this crap. Ugh. Let me just say that I love the fact that Panera now has calories on their wall menus. Not everyone may find that appealing but it helps me feel good about my meal decisions and at Panera there are a lot of options to feel good about. The half and half combo with the bacon turkey bravo (holding the bacon) sandwich paired with the chicken tortilla soup is one of my faves. For those of you work from home and enjoy a change of scenery from time to time, Panera is almost a bit too loud to get much done during peak hours though their free internet is super fast and that combined with the hazelnut coffee is enough to get me there during off-peak hours. read more

Got a whole baguette loaf yesterday and it was ROCK HARD not even joking it didn't have any give, like the side was sharp and hard like a brick. Inside was not soft it tasted old. Like some other reviewers have mentioned- the service here is terrible. It started out well when I arrived for lunch at 11:20 am, there was no line to take my order- Great! So she explains that they are no longer using pagers for to-go orders and my name would show on a screen. So I wait, and wait, and wait- even though there had been no one before me. I waited for 15 minutes while the manager and various others walked by several times and didn't even think it was odd I still was waiting for my order. So I finally went to the counter and asked where my order was. I spoke to 3 people and they didn't have my order anywhere in the system. They called the manager over who stood in front of me and the only thing he ever said was "where's your receipt?" No "Sorry" at all from ANY of the people that "helped" me. In fact, when he came back from behind the counter he looked at me and then mumbled to the person passing out orders that it would be coming out. So you'd think that if you missed someone's order, they would get priority. NO! I counted 10 more people got their order before me. Even someone that had the exact same order got theirs before me. Why wouldn't you give me the order first?! I ordered at 11:20 (on my receipt) and got my food at 11:50! 30 minutes for a sandwich that did not even need heating and a salad! To make things worse, when I unwrapped the sandwich it had been thrown together and balled up in paper. I had to remake the sandwich myself. The salad was bad- but that was my fault for trying something new. It was way too sweet for my liking (Strawberry poppyseed). Let me just add, I work in customer service and I am very cognisant of how I treat others in customer service. I was very polite when asking about my order, even up until the point when they handed me my bad. However, after the rude service, I should've just acted like a jerk. Panera bread has no cream cheese that is absolutely not acceptable to go to the bagel shop no cream cheese you would think that would have a dedicated manager or employee to go to some store and buy some cream cheese so the customer doesn't have to turn around and leave. read more

My coworkers I were in the area and stopped in for lunch this week. I ordered a really tasty panini. The bread is awesome. The service was quick despite the fact they were really busy. The store layout makes for some awkward navigation. The soda fountains are not readily apparent and the restrooms are completely hidden at the rear of the store. read more

How can panera bread be out of bread?? I have gone to this location multiple times since they have opened. I went once and ordered a bread bowl, they were out of bread bowls. Weird, but ok. I went another time and they were out of flatbreads.... So I got my flatbread on cibata. Went another time they were out of every single dessert they had! This place used to be nice, but has gone downhill fast. It is hard to find a clean table and the booths look like they never get cleaned. We went on Sunday morning, and it took over 30 minutes to get our food (food quality was ok) after ordering from the kiosk inside. The place was not especially busy either - no idea why there was a delay. Both containers of half-and-half for coffee were empty and there was no dark roast. Nothing wrong with Panera. I went here as a change up on my way to work. Starbucks is across the shopping center, so I go there first and then end up at Panera. I ordered a toasted Cinnamon Crunch bagel with Honey Walnut spread and a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich. My bagel was awesome as always! This review is specifically for this locations and not for the Panera company as a whole. I love Panera but the employees at this location just screw the orders up and ruin the experience every time. PLEASE tell me why they even give you the option to "customize" or type "special instructions" to your orders when they screw BOTH up (by screw up, I mean they mostly ignore them)! I HATE coming here and wouldn't come here if it wasn't only a mile from my house. THANK GOD I'm moving in less than a month.
