This place used to be nice, but has gone downhill fast. It is hard to find a clean table and the booths look like they never get cleaned. We went on Sunday morning, and it took over 30 minutes to get our food (food quality was ok) after ordering from the kiosk inside. The place was not especially busy either - no idea why there was a delay. Both containers of half-and-half for coffee were empty and there was no dark roast. This review is specifically for this locations and not for the Panera company as a whole. I love Panera but the employees at this location just screw the orders up and ruin the experience every time. PLEASE tell me why they even give you the option to "customize" or type "special instructions" to your orders when they screw BOTH up (by screw up, I mean they mostly ignore them)! I HATE coming here and wouldn't come here if it wasn't only a mile from my house. THANK GOD I'm moving in less than a month. I generally enjoy a meal at Panera Bread. I had never eaten at this location before and my first time will be my last. The sandwich was dry and relatively tasteless with little meat on it. I noticed before I bit into it that there was actually bad lettuce...slimy...on my sandwich. I should have taken it back but I was with a group so I simply picked all of the pieces off. Then I looked at my salad which had several of the same slimy lettuce pieces. I removed those and proceeded to eat. At one point I looked again at the inside of my sandwich to adjust the meat because there wasn't enough to cover the bread. I found a piece of brown onion I'd missed when concentrating on the lettuce. I brought what I had inside to show the manager. His only comment was "Thank you for letting me know." read more

I always know I'm going to get a good meal or snack here. It's been said before but their food is consistent. The same food quality you get at one Panera you pretty much get at all of them. I particularly enjoy their cinnamon crunch bagels but their pumpkin pie bagels in the fall with NY cheesecake cream cheese even tops that. I'm currently pregnant and for some reason cannot get enough Panera. The people at the Brier Creek location are very friendly, but they rarely ever get my order right. For how much I pay for my pick two, their shouldn't be a problem. I go in at least once a week and I would say 9 times out of 10 they mess something up. If you are doing carry out, make sure you double check your sack before you leave. Most likely you are not getting what you ordered. I got someone's whole sandwich along with my wrong order one time. It was a royal mess up. I will continue to go back because the food is always fresh and yummy, and will continue double checking my order. read more

I love using the Panera app to order food with rapid pickup. I am addicted to the tomato basil soup. I could eat it daily. It's a warm treat on a cold day. Got the broccoli cheddar - it was runny. My husband's Dr. Pepper tasted watered down also. The tea was also weak. The turkey chilli was over spiced (not like last time). I've had a few good experiences here, but lately it's been very poor. I work up the street and we order to-go lunches here fairly often. The first two times I went, I waited for over 20 minutes for our food. The girl that took care of me threw in some free pastries and apologized for our wait. I really appreciated that and I understand that when you're busy, you're busy. No big deal. However, after the first two trips here I've been less than impressed. I call in our orders now because when I ordered online they would either A) forget to place our order or B) would mess the order up without fail. Now I call in my order. I ordered a chicken Caesar sandwich and Chicken Noodle Soup. They gave me a Chicken Caesar salad instead of a sandwich and tomato soup. Annoyed, yes, but I ate it anyways. However, the next day the exact same thing happened. I got a salad instead of a sandwich, the wrong soup and I was a bit annoyed by this. I called the store and they finally answered after multiple tries and they apologized for the inconvenience. Despite wanting to order from them again, my co-workers insisted we order Panera again today. Three orders were wrong. I ordered a strawberry poppy-seed chicken salad and they didn't put any dressing in with the salad. My co-worker got a panini that was ice cold. My other co-worker got tortellini and his food was also very cold. I am just less than impressed. The food quality overall isn't bad when it's prepared correctly, but the service is just pretty bad here. read more

This place is always packed and I'm not sure if they have issues keeping staff due to volume but it's always a bad experience. Today, we waited 20 minutes for our to-go order and the lady getting pickup items together was clearly frantic and not very friendly. Her frustration was visible and kept complaining how behind they were. I'm sure that doesn't help anyone cooking speed up the process. And then I only realized when we got home that we were missing items. It's not worth driving back out there but I think we've finally learned that we won't be going here again. Let me start by saying that I love Panera! And About 7 months ago I moved to a state where there are no Panera's! Gasp!! So when I was on vacation in NC I was excited to see Panera. My husband and I stopped here on the way back to our hotel after a long road trip. The young lady who took our order was fantastic! Out food came out quickly! I always check the bag because it is sometimes wrong and yep! I was missing some items! I looked at my receipt to verify and sure enough a couple items were not in the bag I removed what I had and let the young lady prepping the food know what was missing. She began to remedy the situation when the manager (I assume) jumped in. I told him he could take the bag of chips back since I had requested a baguette for my side. His response "once you touch it I can't take it back unless you want me to throw it away." This is completely unnecessary. Simply say sure, I apologize for the mistake. If you have to throw it out, then I guess you have to, but the extra response just rude and poor customer service. Less is more in these cases. I'm not sure how these mistakes get made when it's clear as day on the receipt! But I have found Managment at these Panera's to be rude fairly often. There have been multiple times I have caught one manager in CA making my cappuccino with whole milk when the receipt specifically says skim milk. This seems to be a pervasive problem within the company. Still, I enjoy the food! read more

The service was horrible the tables were dirty the food was cold and the sandwiches were cold and just thrown together. The only one nice thing was the courteous manager who takes your food to your seat with a smile. i will never come to this location and this was on my vacation what a horrible experience.
