I love love bread so when i walk in its like walking into heaven. I always have a hard time deciding on their pastries they all look so good. When i come in i usually order the Pick 2 and i usually get the steak and white cheddar panini with either a cesar or a chicken noodle soup. Its always so yummy. I also love their turkey avocado BLT. Oh i almost forgot about their bagels ugh their so good and fresh i usually get the Jalapeño and Cheddar or the Asiago Cheese bagel. Price wise is decent it can be pricey but it all depends on what you get. Overall I always have a good experience here definitely coming back. read more

I love the soup, sandwiches, salads, and cookies at the Vallejo Panera. I used their curbside service which works well usually. My only issue with them is that my sandwiches are not marked so we have to open them up completely to figure out what they are. I go Panera to study after school, but sometimes its difficult because the place get too loud. At one point their were teenagers cursing and arguing loud, it was disturbing the clients and no one said anything to them. If you plan to study or do homework bring some good hearphones. Sometimes people live their stuff on the table after eating and they sit there for hours before someone pick them up and clean the tables. The servers are good and friendly. I have ordered beef salad in 2 occasions and they never ask how I want my beef so I usually have to return it because the beef comes red. One time they changed the entire meal, another time all they did was cook the beef more. The pesto pasta is my favorite, its tasty, sometimes the salads are not fresh and lettuce is wilted. 5/5 for the rewards program and Asian dishes. read more

I work for a large commercial bank and we are VERY CUSTOMER focused. I am much aware of good /bad customer service. On 8/16/2018 about 12:30 I had just picked up my my meal ( salad, soup and an apple ) and sat down. I was seated next to a person on his lap top when 2 employee with Panera aprons walked up , one introduced the other to the man on the lap top and left. The young lady that stayed said she wanted to talk about raises, said she had been there for 2 years now. Lap top man said that they were looking at raises and that they were coming up. He asked about ( didn't catch the name but I'm assuming her manager) as he followed up with " well it sounds like he is working on it, Needless to say I felt very awkward in hearing the conversation. Not professional, it was not the place to have this conversation ( lap top man should have gotten up to another location). 2nd part of comments is the apple I received ( minor detail) The apple was OLD with the skin of an eighty year old. I went to exchange it at the counter where I picked up my meal. The young man just gave me another apple. The supervisor behind him should have taken the opportunity to apologize for the old apple but instead in a condescending voice said (twice) don't put that apple over here , ( she did say please ) throw it away there ! Customer service is lacking although it is what I expected. Employees are here to take my order, nothing else. Order was made mostly correct, when ready they just sat it up on the counter without ever calling my name to let me know it was ready. Table, drink bar, floors, and bathroom were all dirty. The register lady up front was very kind. She felt they should make it right. This Panera location has been one of my least favorite of all the Panera bread locations I have been too. The parking lot is on the small side and you can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekends and during lunch hours on the week. The place inside has a weird layout which is kinda different than other locations where most of it is all open. There is an outside patio which is nice but there is always cars passing buy so it's not much of a quiet atmosphere. The staff were nice and quick to get the food out. I ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich and there was a ton of ham on my sandwich which was kind of annoying. The bread was alright but cold and kind of rough, the butter was also rock hard which was hard to spread. The food could have been better but I have had better sandwiches there. The place is organized and clean and so were the bathrooms. Would I be back? Probably not but I would rather go to the Panera in concord or emeryville. read more

My wife and I came here on a Easter Sunday for lunch. My wife's order a Fontina grilled sandwich while I have the chili soup. The service is horrible. Nice cafe and it's a great place to come in, have lunch, and catch up with some old friends, which is what I did. I have routine terrible customer experiences at the same Pinole location. When you order thru the app, often when you arrive to pick up the order, the staff will claim that items in the order are sold out. This has happend to me on 3 occasions. Most recently, the manager actually told me how sorry she was and she would put my order to the side for me to pick up later.
