There's nothing I hate more than poor customer service. We did Rapid Pick Up and quite frankly I don't think I should have to check my order if there is someone there being paid to do that and physically checking it off to make sure it is all there. Clearly I was wrong. We were missing half of a meal (Which was checked off) and when I called I was told best they could do is I come back and pick up the missing item or they can mail me a voucher. I wasn't going to go back and get it cause my husband went off to work and I was home with my 1 year old. I asked why they couldn't deliver it to me since there's a big old sticker on my bag that says "we deliver." I was told some nonsense about the weather and only having one driver and being swamped. I said I don't care when I get it they can deliver it whenever I just want to get it. Still told no. Very frustrated. read more

i havent been to many panera breads, but as the reviews state, this was must be the worst. GO TO THE ONE AT CHICAGO RIDGE MALL. JUST DO IT! unless of course they're bad, then forgive me. but they're the best one i know of, with exception of the parking. i love panera bread's broccoli and cheddar soup in a bread bowl, with the asiago steak sandwich. im drooling just typing this. however here,... uhh no thanks. the service was good enough, better than the one in homewood flossmoor/olympia fields. the bread bowl was unusually hard on the outside but still soft on the inside. the asiago steak sandwich wasnt as good as the one at chicago ridge, could be because i left the horseradish on but didnt have it on at chicago ridge. but the broccoli and cheddar soup tasted spoiled. had a sour/tart taste to it. very very disappointing. i dont know what is up with them, but they will not have my business. i'll just stick to chicago ridge's location when im in the neighborhood, great customer service and great food. panera bread, get it together! read more

I absolutely love Panera. It could be 90 degrees and I still could go for a bread bowl with broccoli cheddar soup! That being said, this Panera sucks! How do you "sell out" of bread bowls? My husband and I have not been in Panera in 15 years. Went with a gift card. My husband's flat bread pizza was luke warm at best. When I brought it back to the counter the manager told me he can't take food back once it leaves the kitchen and walked away from me. What?????????? I brought the plate to the food pick up counter and was told by rude girls that they could not make another because they ran out of tomatoes. Okay, I said I wanted a refund. My husband went to speak to the same manager and he was not helpful at all. The only thing he did was refund the meal back to our gift card and told us to have a good evening. This same manager was inattentive and barely spoke to us. I ate some of the turkey chili and actually became sick a few hours later. I called the next day (today) and spoke to the store manager to explain. He apologized and offered a voucher which is appreciated. I will go back for pastries only. Ordered ahead for curbside pickup to save time. Press "I'm here" when you arrive. Did that & waited & waited. Finally (after 15-20 minutes) I went in. 3 employees on their phones. I didn't park in the right area. There is one sign next to the door (in back) that tells you that Curbside pickup parking is on the side of the building. I didn't see the sign until I walked in-- it's right by the back door. And no one could be bothered to look out the back to see if anyone was waiting in the "wrong" spot. Too busy on their phones. Snarky when I walked in & asked about my order. Pitiful customer service. You don't care about my business then I don't care about yours. Plenty of other Panera's around. read more

I ordered a BOWL of Chicken Noodle Soup; what I received was a BOWL of Chicken BROTH with literally ONLY 14 spoons that had a noodle, piece of carrot or celery,and/or chicken on it. That's pretty damn expensive chicken broth for $6. I'm sure the next person will have only broth because I had only itsy-bitsy pieces from the bottom of the pan. I won't be back again at this time! I just had an opportunity to use the kiosk ordering system. It was VERY user friendly and worked flawlessly in processing my order. I had a take out order and it was ready for pickup in less than 2 minutes after I pressed the "I'm Done" button on the kiosk. Also, I was the only person using the kiosk (there were 7 or 8 people standing in line for the counter) and the floor manager checked with me before I left to make sure everything went well with my kiosk order. I'm basing my experience totally on the food alone. I decided to try out this location since my usual Panera has recently closed. I ordered the Pesto Sacchettini and the Autumn Squash soup. The pasta was super hard. Not even close to al dente. If you look closely at the attached picture, you can easily spot uncooked pasta. The soup was cloyingly sweet, way too thick and lacked spices. The bread was super hard as well. I know many of these items aren't freshly made in house but I wouldn't recommend these items. I highly doubt I'll be back anytime soon even though I have a Panera reward available. read more

Absolutely DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY from this (or any) locations. Never received my order, called the store and spoke with Emily. She told me to wait a few minutes. Email received stated order was delivered. Waited 15 minutes more, still no order so I called back. Once again spoke with Emily. She stated they now use Doordash for deliveries and that unfortunately sometimes orders are stolen by the drivers.....this should be on the app/website that there is a third party delivery service being used. Although I was refunded my money the inadequacy of the entire process was horrible. Not only am I out of my order, Emily told me if I were to use them again I should pick up my order.....why bother offering delivery if you can't guarantee it will be delivered????? read more

This is my first time at this location and all of the people were extremely kind. The hostess was patient and helpful & the chef was extremely nice! Only complaint was the speed, but I think that one of them was in training, which makes sense. The food was perfect! Exactly what I ordered, good portions, and delicious. I had a very bad experience with the Oak Lawn, IL. I ordered a pickup order for $45. One of the soup was missing and one was a cup instead of a bowl. I called the first time to get somebody to deliver the missing items for me and they closed the phone on my face. The second time I called they put me on the hold for 10 minutes so I had to call back and finally I spoke to Desy (manager) who didn't help me getting the missing items to me. I informed her that I'll leave a bad review if she doesn't deliver the missing food to me, but she didn't care. She wanted me to come back from work to get the missing items. Ordered a chicken tortellini Alfredo with a side of the chicken and wild rice soup and was very displeased. The very first bite I took into my tortellini was ice cold and completely unacceptable. If I'm paying for WARM food I better be getting warm food. Two workers were next to me while I bite into the food heard me talking and both turned their heads away. I proceeded to walk up and send my food back till another worker said "oh is that cold, I'm sorry there's a microwave over there" WHAT ESTABLISHMENT HAS THEIR CUSTOMERS HEAT UP THEIR OWN FOOD?!?! I was unable to order my reward of 1 free breakfast item on line along with some other items. I then called Panera Bread location Oak lawn Il. Was told breakfast stopped serving at 10 AM? Who stops breakfast at 10AM? I explained that my reward expires today & was not offered any solution, just an "I'm sorry" then silence. I am not happy with the type of customer service I receive . The rewards gives me the opportunity to try what looks like, very good dishes. I guess I will never know. When I sent email to Panera Customer Service, again all I got was I'm sorry. This Panera bread has been awful ! Went in at 6pm on a Thursday night and they were out of bread completely. I had ordered soup and Mac and cheese in 2 bread bowls and wasn't offered a refund for paying the extra charge for the bread bowls I didn't receive. Wait 25+ minutes for my order and my Mac and cheese was frozen and had freezer burn on top!! When I went up to complain there was no apology or refund .. nothing ! This Panera is horrible. I was at this location on Sat Feb 09th and saw two women walk into the store and proceed to sit down without ordering. Within 30 mins the woman sitting next to these two was complaining to the manager that her purse was stolen. Being in loss prevention myself, I could not believe the way this woman was treated by management. The police arrived and asked to see the stores surveillance video because the woman's card was currently being used at Target but management refused their request??? The victim was with her 4 kids and I'm sure she paid a pretty penny for her meal. I was flabbergasted by the way she and the Oak Lawn Police was treated. Whenever I get a day off work, this is where my husband and I usually take the little ones for lunch. It has really gone down hill in the past two months since We were here last and it was extremely disappointing. The person who took our order- rude and extremely slow, the length of time from when we placed our order to when our food was done=20 minutes. Never have we waited longer than 10 and the place wasn't even full. It appeared that the people making the food were more interested in "hanging out" with eachother than working. When we eventually got our food it was extremely disappointing- if you are going to charge $5.89 for a kids Mac and cheese( doesn't even include a drink) I'd expect a good amount. They each got about a "cup" of Mac and cheese each. Husbands Italian used to be giant- it was definitely smaller but of course the price was sill $10. Not worth it. I understand the ingredients are fresh/clean but between paying $48 for a lunch with two toddlers and two adults along with the service- extremely disappointing. read more

First off, the service was awful. I go up to the counter to order after the employee called out "next!" Just as I'm about to order, the guy tells the manager, Kim, that she needs to swipe him into the register system. She does that, but then the guy who was about to take my order(I was unable to catch his name) just wanders away. The people behind me in line are being served while I wait. Then Kim calls "next!" one register over, so I step aside and begin my order, not getting an explanation for the uncaring employee that had failed to take my order, or even apologizing for having to walk away. I ask for the Turkey Artichoke panini. She informs me in a low, unenthusiastically unclear voice that Panera Bread no longer makes those. So I choose the Turkey Avocado sandwich. Kim doesn't even bother to ask if I wanted chips or an apple. What's the point, right? As I wait to receive my order, the girl employee giving out the food (who's name I also did not catch) just places the bag behind some basket, and walks away. Doesn't even care to make sure it was all there or that the person taking it in fact ordered what she had prepared. I go home to enjoy the sandwich, and much to my surprise, there are two slices of bacon stuck together at the side of my sandwich. My sandwich did not call for bacon! The sandwich itself looked as through it had been made by a 4-year old. The avocado was slipping out from the side and nearly fell out from the entire sandwich. The taste of the veiny turkey was garbage. Definitely not worth over 9$. The best tasting item of this meal would've been the apple HAD I GOTTEN ONE. Thanks a lot Panera, for ruining sandwiches. I've been to this Panera 2x and they continue to meet expectations in the manner the food items are prepared. They seem to lack some of the pastries which are generally found at other Paneras. I was told that it's due to not being a franchise store. The lunch time rush hour can be challenging due to limited seating and parking spots outside of the restaurant. read more
