Let me say that the service was good, the guy was pleasant to talk to and was very professional. The atmosphere was very pizzaesk. Lol The pizza however fell short. They give you plenty and you can tell that the ingredients are top notch but the flavor was severely lacking. The sauce is very bland and there is almost none on the pizza, however I don't think it would have helped if there was more. They need to really evaluate their sauce. I visited Barraco's for a party so we were in the event room, with one of the menus they have for private events. It was better than I expected it to be to be honest. The beef they had was probably my favorite and I am not usually a beef person. I wish I'd gotten a bit more of it! The mashed potatoes are always a favorite of mine too. The place is both a restaurant and, at the front, seems to have some grocery items as well. They have a wine room, though not something I checked out. The private room was comfortable; it didn't feel overly crowded or anything, even though there were at least eight tables for dining and then a few others for food and gifts and whatnot. The one thing that was a little weird was that there were a couple bathrooms in the front of the room, which seemed like an odd and somewhat conspicuous place to put them. There was a bathroom out in the main restaurant, too, and also a family bathroom which I appreciated. That's where the changing table is located. Parking seems minimal--unless I missed some, it didn't actually seem like enough for the size of the restaurant. But they do have a private lot. read more

Had a very unfortunate event here. Booked a room for a baptism. Francesca didn't let me know that I would be charge for people who didn't show. I did the pizza package. For 30 adults and six children. Ended up paying $1200. For 11 pizzas and beer and wine. We only had 21 adults that showed and six children. Shame on them for not making the adjustment. It's a shame. I will never go back there again. We had at least four pizzas left over. Note to anybody booking a party always under estimate the people that you have so you don't get charged. They need to make adjustments in their pricing so they don't have disgruntled patrons. It's a shame that. they don't have better management. Second I asked them to not put pepperoni on the antipasta salad and they did put it on the antipasta salad, Third, she said she would make a new antipasta salad to go and when I got to the car there was no salad in bag.I called them back to tell them and they said they forgot,Sorry. I have tried the pizza here twice. All the flavors are amazing. I had a gluten free crust which was good. The Italian sausage and pizza sauce are both delicious. Lately I feel like the quality of Italian sausage has gone down everywhere, but this establishment uses quality tasty Italian sausage. Which is important in the Chicagoland area as it is a staple. Another staple is Giardiniera, and theirs is excellent on this pizza. Service is terrific. And the Ambiance is great. Great place for a holiday dinner or family gathering. read more

My fiancé and I tried the buffet and the food was good. We arrived at 11:45 AM, and there was a lot of food to choose from they have three different kinds of pizza. There are many appetizers, wings, salad, desserts, and different kinds of warm noodle dishes. I asked the waitress what a certain noodle dish was on the buffet and she said she would find out for me, but then she never returned and vanished for about 20 minutes. Then we had to flag down another waitress to get refills of water and straws then finally the original waitress came and gave us our bill . Terrible customer service. I tried this place to go in Sept 2021. I had high hopes for it, but alas, I was disappointed. I ordered the NY steak wrap- which as my picture shows had barely any meat in it. It was like they took a salad and wrapped it up inside a tortilla. It was not flavorful. We tried the cheese sticks. I don't remember much about these, except that I didn't think highly of them, especially not for over $8. He had the meatball sandwich. He was also underwhelmed. Overall, not a great experience. I will almost always try a place more than once, because sometimes places have an off night and who knows what COVID did to their quality. Recently renovated inside and several upgrades re: entertainment and selection also. Lots of craft beer on tap and premium liquor on the shelf- esp whiskeys. An insane amount of TVs and bubble hockey in the bar area. Decent place to catch a game without being overcrowded. We ponied up to the bar with a group of friends to watch the bears. The bar staff were nice and attentive. Fried ravioli app is pretty solid. We also had a wrap and chicken parm sandwich that were satisfactory. Not a bad spot by any means. read more

It's very tasty and I enjoy all of the food options I've had here. Our family has had numerous parties in the banquet room. Been coming to this location for years and there have been mistakes made but tonight was worth a review. First and foremost I'd expect hot food when picked up on time and the ball was dropped on that. Secondly, I order the chicken tenders tossed in BBQ sauce nearly every time and today I was given plain tenders with BBQ on the side when ranch on the side was requested with the BBQ tenders. Next, I HIGHLY suggest not trying the oysters Rockefeller as they were covered with a nearly half inch thick slice of mozzarella that was not melted. Lastly, please update your menu prices! I understand that prices increase but please do not blindside me with the price increase. My girlfriend and I went to the Barracos in Crestwood today 3/21/24. As we were walking in girlfriend was immediately told very rudely that you are not allowed to bring in that Starbucks coffee and to go put it outside. Jen the manager couldn't have been any more ignorant. We explain to our waitress why my girlfriend didn't want to eat was because she was upset about the way she was treated about a coffee. We were put in a corner nobody could see us and on top of that there was nobody in the restaurant. The waitress stated that she was working there for that same reason we are complaining about. Jen has issues how to handle customer service and just respect for the customer in general. Poorly handled my family's party. Harsh and rude customer service. The space is remolded but the event space was nastyyyyyyyyy. Utensils dirty with leftover salad on the forks, trash on the floors, and the bathrooms had piss all over them. I complained to management to fix the issue during our party and they said we are short staffed and this is the best we have. I can not accept that. Oh so loved the ambiance at the Barracos on 137 th and cicero. The place is large and open for a venue like a reception or baby shower. The bar is large and long and the all you can eat Lunch buffet is worth money ($14:tax) the buffet had fried chicken and barbecue tenders . They have zucchini and carrots stir fry and a veggie penne pasta red sauce with mushrooms. Mac and cheese + roast beef and mashed potatoes. Salad romaine lettuce with veggies like green peppers cucumbers and Parmesan cheese with several options for dressings . The service is do it yourself except they will bring you a drink, pizza options were cheese or pepperoni or sausage. I will dine again. It's on the list for let's go to lunch! read more

I really tried to like this place. My significant other and I decided to have a date night at a local restaurant. We have never eaten here and most certainly won't be back. Firstly, the server was terrible. It literally costs nothing to be nice and helpful as a server. That's what you are supposed to do. Throughout our meal, we were met with a nonchalant attitude as if us deciding to dine here was an inconvenience to her. We didn't even feel comfortable asking her a lot the menu because didn't stick around long enough for us to inquire. The restaurant is as pretty empty so there is no reason she shouldn't be attentive. Secondly, our food was mediocre at best. The crust on the pizza we had was crumbling and falling apart. I cannot make claims about the in restaurant food or service. I've been recently disabled, so I don't get out much. Regardless, for the past five years, we have ordered pizzas & other foods from Barraccos in Crestwood weekly. Myself, I would order pizza from any other place before them, including the more affordable Domino's. But in all fairness, my wife likes their thin crust, pizza with mushroom and cheese only. So happy wife, happy life :-) Even with something as simple as that, it's a 50-50 chance if we get the order right or if it's cooked properly. And that's after five years of consistently agreeing with my wife to order pizza from them. Sometimes the crust is cooked too little, sometimes crust is hard as a stick. My wife simply likes a thin crust pizza, I've ventured onto attempting other food from them when my wife has ordered their below average pizza. How hard is it for an Italian restaurant to cook a pizza? The disappointment was more often than not, so I stopped ordering any food and would make a sandwich on my wife's pizza days, lol. This evening was the straw that broke the camels back when I was home by myself, and simply didn't want to clean the mess of cooking. I spent $50 for a full slab of ribs and a side of a pasta. I always take care of the delivery drivers with a good tip. My ribs were burnt crispy black beyond edible. Every rib bone tip was black and crusty with the outside and the inside not chewable. Leather is soft compared to these. Then the person who cooked them, who obviously is not a cook or chef poured about 2 cups of runny barbecue sauce over them. Normally, I would ask for a refund and offer them to come pick the meal up as proof of how horribly inedible the entire meal was in hopes that it was just a cook on a bad night.. The ribs were garbage and I would not feed to a stray dog, the side of fettuccine ordered tasted like it was made of powder milk with a bunch of flour over the noodles(not edible). Even the side of cream of chicken soup was horrible. Cream of chicken soup is not supposed to be the consistency of water. Even still it tasted horrible. Garbage. I am very upset that they would serve this to anybody. I ate my baked potato, and that was it.. I did call barracos in Crestwood back. I wanted to make a point and told the manager I did not want a refund or a redelivery because I simply wanted the manager to believe me because they normally don't believe you or care if you're food is mixed up or prepared wrong. As polite as I could be, I simply asked her if she would tell the cook that the next time he burnt an order of ribs, would he just start them over again? The manager was in a hurry to tell me to "hush" so she could get to the root of the problem which was very impolite. I was very calm & respectful in simply advising her that the person who prepared the meal failed on all parts, except for pulling the baked potato out of the area they keep them warm in. Nobody's perfect and errors are going to be made. I am fine with realizing that, but Barraccos delivery service cannot deliver food that is just OK to consume half the time as you pay a premium price for.. This will be the final time I will ever eat anything from Barraccos's regardless of how patient my wife is with them messing up her cheese and mushroom pizza. On a scale from 1 - 5, I would rate them a -2. Do not waste your money or time on food from Barraccos's in Crestwood for delivery service. More importantly, do not waste your time because over 50% of the time the food is horrible no matter what you order.. I've ordered barraccos at other places for 30 years. But I will no longer do so, especially from Crestwood. God as my witness, they have even screwed up a grilled cheese sandwich before. I cannot fathom how they remotely stay in business? do not waste your money, but more importantly, do not waste your time by being upset when you're hungry. A homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich is cuisine compared to anything they can attempt preparing. It must be because they hire people with zero experience or people that could care less. I feel I'm being nice by saying the food is edible 50% of the time. Furthermore, the management either doesn't believe you or just does not simply care. Again, I have been trying to do business with them for five years and other Crestwood restaurants for over 30 years. I will eat my puppies dog food before I would eat anything from them. Over priced, under quality, never made properly, never take responsibility for screwing things up.
