Pizza had wrong ingredients and wasn't cooked well done like I requested! Not even close!

I had a $20 Groupon to use. I ordered a 10 inch sausage thin crust pizza. When I first opened the pizza, it actually looked pretty good. Unfortunately, while we were eating it the sausage had absolutely no flavor at all. They charge $1.50 per topping, so I feel like I was better off ordering cheese only. Also, a couple bites tasted like someone had been previously smoking, and had cigarette residue on their hands or something. Yuck, I could taste the cigarette flavor. Another thing that was very annoying is, they don't use a cash register, so they basically just make up prices and your total off the top of their head. Which seems like they avoid taxes in my opinion. Pros- The mozzarella sticks are very good. I also like the deep fried veggies. There's so many better pizza places, we both agreed we will not be back. read more

Went to use my Groupon today. I think the owner was there. He was dressed in a suit just sitting there watching the one employee work. Didn't see too thrilled we had a Groupon. If I can give this place 0 stars I would. My parents ordered a half pepperoni half cheese pizza from here. She got green onions, onions, and mushrooms. She told the owner it smells like onions and he told her he has a better nose than her and told her to leave. So she leaves and brings the pizza home. I call him and he tells me "20 minutes" and hangs up on me. So I call him back and I say u just hang up on your customer and he says he doesn't care. I asked him if he cares about his Yelp reviews and he says he doesn't. So here ya go. ALSO when I went to get my pizza he said he wasn't making it. I asked for my money back then and he said no. I said well make the pizza, give me my money, or I call the police. I waited for 20 minutes for the pizza and he tells his employee get her the hell out of here. If you buy coupons like from Groupon, you better hope they don't have one of there weekends when they don't take coupons. They refused my Groupon, when I asked why, the old crabby owner wouldn't give me a answer. Good luck trying to get a refund from Groupon, there's no way of contacting them, and Guardi's doesn't offer refunds. read more

Rude counter person and canned mushrooms on the pizza. I had a taste for pizza, and my mom offered me a Local Flavor voucher for Guardi's. I called and ordered a small pizza, and brought in the voucher. The guy behind the counter (who I think is the owner) saw the voucher and immediately walked away, stating that he can only accept it on the App. When I mentioned that it doesn't state that on the voucher or local flavor site, and he didn't mention it in the phone, he said he he doesn't make the rules. This whole time he was across the restaurant not even looking at me. I didn't want my mom to feel bad, so unfortunately I paid $18 for a pizza that we each had 1 piece of and threw away. My husband eats anything, and even he didn't like it. It tasted weird and the mushrooms looked and tasted like they came from a can. We would have been better off buying a frozen pizza. read more

It's a real shame that I will never order from here again. I spoke to the owner after they screwed up the ingredients on my pizza and he gave me his word that he would credit me with another pizza in the future. He claimed he doesn't forget these things and he said he would remember my last name, given it is not a common one. I called in today to get that credited pizza and he claims he doesn't remember me at all and has a list of names with receipts of who he owes credits to. Needless to say I never got my credited pizza so I canceled my order. It's too bad because I referred them to my friends and family and I will never order from them again and I am sure my family never will either. read more

Guardi's has the best gluten-free pizza I've ever had. I don't know how they get their gluten-free crust so thin and crispy, but it's wonderful and doesn't disintegrate under lots of toppings like other gf pizza crusts tend to do. My family likes their "regular people pizza" as well. The owners are super nice and truly make an effort to get to know their customers. It's always a pleasure to chat with them for a few minutes when picking up my pizzas. I took advantage of a "Double Take Deals" coupon where for $20 I received two $20 gift certificates for Guardi's. I tried this place for the first time May 2017. We got the thin crust pizza, medium, with sausage. We did pick up. The guy who took our order was nice and it was ready when we arrived. $16.00 for this pizza, which is a good price in my opinion. The man who handed us our pizza, I assume the owner, was very nice and friendly. The pizza had a good crust. It was thin, with a little bit of a thicker crust for the ends. The sauce and sausage tasted great. Plenty of cheese as well. I would definitely go back when in town! read more

Ordered from here tonight. The man who took my order could not have been more disinterested! When my husband got there he was very unfriendly. Our beef sandwiches were terrible! I don't know why they are on groupon. I ordered my pizza & told the girl I had a groupon & will pay the difference in cash. When I picked up my order the owner rudely said I'm not accepting groupon right now due to what's going on. He said I didn't tell the girl I had a groupon which is a lie. I told him to cancel my order then. He told me now I have to throw your pizza away & I'm not accepting any more groupons from you. Hopefully I can get a refund from groupon. Don't go there !!!. I took the coupon once on a saturday and he said that I cannot use this on weekend. So, I took it to his place on a thursday and he said that he will not honor the printed coupon and since I have already ordered a deep dish pizza, I paid full price for it. Local flavor app clearly mentions that the merchant has to accept the paper coupon and that's exactly what the groupons coupon also mentioned. I believe this man is not interested in taking groupon/local flavor in the first place. If that is the case then this pizza store should not be in groupon. Do yourself a favor of NOT going there and wasting your time and money and get disappointed with the taste. On another occasion, when I bought a combo vege basket, it was not golden brown, but burnt brown. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! The manager is rude and is ridiculously covered in gold jewelry. I had a Local Flavor coupon that he would not honor. He wanted me to pull it up on my phone. When I couldn't do that he said he couldn't help that I don't know IT. Refused to accept my printed coupon. There was another customer there with the same situation who showed him the rules that say bring the printed coupon to redeem. The manager said no one cares about Yelp. Guardi's Pizza on a scale of 1 to 10 should get a Zero. I had a Groupon to use and the Owner was so rude. When I ordered an appetizer and a pizza I was told that an money over the Groupon amount had to be paid in Cash. Well if that wasn't enough, he also will not give a receipt and he makes up his Tax for the food that you buy. The major complaint was when I got back home with the food, we noticed that the Appetizer was missing some of the Fried Veggie's and when I called to tell the Owner his comment was Oh Well! So that's why no one needs to bother going to this pizza place because Oh Well is definitely not what you should HEAR! read more

I've been looking for a good pizza place since moving from the west suburbs. I can finally say that I've found my "go to" place. I always go with thin crust sausage and spinach. The sauce is nice and not too sweet (unlike Giordano's) and the cheese is perfectly gooey. The people are nice and there's always online coupons so the prices are just fine with me. Stopped in this evening I just moved into the area and wanted to try this place out since it was 2 blocks away. When I first walked in I greeted the guy behind the counter and he just looked at me and asked for my name!? So I told him I didnt make an order yet and he just turned around and walked away. The younger lady came and gave me a menu while I was going over it the guy pulled out 2 pizzas one with pepperoni and another with just cheese he pulled the knife out and cut both with the same knife. My point here is for those that order veggie pizzas and or don't eat meat or pork for say will get the residue from the previous pizzas. I think this should be addressed. I just turned away and walked out. Greeting customers should be top priority, also using the same utensils meat/pork etc should be a violation I will seek the Tinley Park health department tomorrow and see what they have to say about that. read more

DO NOT go to Guardi's Pizza in Tinley Park! I had a bad experience last night. I was overcharged on my order by the owner using the calculator on his phone (no cash register? Is that legal?) and charging me 20% tax on entire order instead of charging only on unpaid balance of prepaid voucher. In addition, I ordered mac and cheese and discovered that it had a thin cheese covering on top with no cheese sauce underneath! Regular customer since mid 80's. Big Al and wife Clare are the best couple in a family business. They always greet you with a smile and big,how are you. There reg crust and thin crust pizza are the best. Never skemp on toppings, it's a loaded pizza, you never have to order extra on anything. The beef, meatball, and hamburger sandwitches are good. Overall the pizza and sandwitches are delicious. Prices for pizza a little on the high side but your getting good quality and quanity of food. read more

All I can say is the man who I talked to on the phone tonight was extremely rude. I have celiac disease, and it's imperative that I avoid gluten, even on a cross contamination level. Being that it's such a common allergy these days, almost all pizza places have a gluten-free pizza, but they are not always safe for someone who actually has celiac disease. This takes special training. I always have to call and ask questions before I decide to place an order. Overall, the man I talked to tonight sounded like he was in a huge rush and was straight-up annoyed that he had to answer my two or three questions about the gluten-free pizza, as I was trying to determine if it was safe or not. I eventually just gave up and hung up the phone. I couldn't handle how bitter he sounded. Having celiac disease is stressful enough without having to deal with someone's anger issues. It's quite a shame because the Russo family has been eating here for years. In the end, I called Lou Malnati's, and I couldn't believe how nice the manager was over the phone. He told me everything I needed to know in a very polite way, and assured me over and over again that I could eat their Pizza safely as long as I tell them that I have celiac disease when I place the order.
