I go here about twice a week on average and I've never had a bad experience. However what made me write this review was the kick ass job they did on April 30, 2025. It was 5 times as packed as I had ever seen it before and every seat in the place was taken since a lot of people were left without power the day before. They got my food made in 6-7 minutes. Really good job by the staff through adversity. If you're not from Murrysville ignore the 2 and a half star review average because most people from Murrysville are snooty upper middle class oldheads who are insanely wealthy because of the houses they bought in the 60s and sold to blackrock and expect everything to be pristine and perfect and will only leave a bad review if they have a bad experience and never leave a good one. This place is really the best chain restaurant franchise I go to regularly. Edit: After looking at the other reviews for this place, it really looks like the only bad reviews were from 2-3 years or longer ago, so if you had a bad experience there before chances are they solved that problem whether it was bad ownership or bad employees. This Panera is a perfect example of bad service all around. They forgot the bacon in my Bacon Mac & Cheese -- so basically I ordered Mac & Cheese with a side of disappointment. Then the staff told me cold foam "doesn't exist here," even though the app says otherwise... maybe it's invisible? The employees were just as unfriendly as the food was incomplete. I've visited this location over a dozen times. It is a busy location but everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The ordering system is excellent. Very efficient. If you are a Sip Club member (first 3 months is $5 a month the $11.99 after), which I highly recommend and all you want is a beverage- say coffee. You can either order in your phone or go in to a kiosk and grab a cup, fill it up yourself and leave! Sip club gives you I think unlimited drinks! Everyday! Food is consistent. Hot, fresh, accurate and tastes really good. Coffee is really good. I like to mix the light and dark roasts and add half and half. The sliced and toasted cinnamon crunch bagels with cream cheese are super good. Usually plenty of customers in and out all day. Sometimes there are groups of people studying or discussing. Friendly staff and the decent food you expect from Panera. This location is clean and well kept. The food order was prepared correctly and quickly. My salad and soup was tasty, and the boy's soup was gone quickly, so a thumbs up from him. Restroom was clean. No issues at all. Well done! read more

I am always unhappy with my decision to go to this Panera. First off, I love panera. I eat healthy and you can't beat their salad and even the drinks are awesome. But the monroeville Panera is always dirty. I've attached a picture of the overflowing garbage. This isn't a cheap place to go, they should have someone sweeping the floors, changing out the garbage bags etc. And the tables...they all needed to be wiped. It's been this way at the monroeville Panera for a couple years. They keep redesigning it but they have to do something about the cleanliness. read more

First time to order online and have it delivered with Door Dash. Placed order at 11:15 am and requested it to be delivered at 12:15pm-12:30pm. At 1:00pm I started to track my order and by 1:30 it was still sitting at Panera in Murrysville. I cancelled my order and contacted Door Dash to inquire as to why my order was never delivered. The "chat" option for door dash was no help and they could have cared less about my complaint. Door Dash did not take any accountability. Will never order from Panera again. read more

I am not the biggest fan of Panera. I think they are fine, but in general a little overpriced for what you get. I have eaten at many locations over the years and usually the experience is standard, not great not bad. However, I have always enjoyed one particular thing about Panera, and that would be their soups. I am a soup junkie especially when the weather turns cold. That being said I have had some not so great experiences. My last visit to Panera was prompted by a "coupon" of some type loaded onto my Panera member card. I advise everyone who stops here even occasionally to get one. I have redeemed points for money off meals/drinks and free items, such was the occasion that day. I received a free pick two with the purchase of a drink. I went with Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT which they panini pressed for me, and a cup of baked potato soup. Now the Turkey BLT and Avo is a go to for me. I usually enjoy it, so this was totally on me for asking for it to be pressed like a panini. It made the veggies warm and soggy and avocado heated isn't the best flavor. However, I still overall enjoyed the sandwich. My big issue was the soup. Absolutely not good whatsoever. It was mushy and had basically no flavor, minus an unusual aftertaste that was not appealing in any way. I ended up pitching it after only a few bites. I also tried their autumn soup last year, and though I hear some rave reviews about this I also felt this soup was not good. It had a very metallic flavor with a funky aftertaste too. Eh there are winners and losers in the game of soups, most of Panera's soups are winners, and then there are these two. However, the Broccoli and Cheese is bombdiggity. This used to be one of out favorite stops. We stopped every time we were in Murraysville. But, we have had a few so-so experiences at other Panera's. Anyhow, we decided to stop here the other evening after a long, grueling day of driving and visiting Doctors. My first stop was the Men's rest room. It was clean, and unlike the last stop here the floor wasn't so greasy your feet would slide away when using the urinal. I thought we were off to a good start. Should have left then.. Went to the counter to order and the French Onion Soup had disappeared from the menu board. Upon inquiry, I was informed it was taken off for a seasonal menu change. Being this is my favorite and my wife & daughter had already ordered, I had to look for something I could substitute. I landed on the Tomato Bacon and Cheese sandwich. When I got it I noticed right away, it seemed to lack substance. The tomato could not have possibly been sliced thinner. The cheese was not a melted slice, but some kind of cheese sauce and there was a lonely partial bacon slice on each half. The bread was thick, tasty and good. And the sandwich went down quickly, and tasted good. Unfortunately it was't sufficient to quell the appetite of a grown male diner. At $9 - Like the sandwich, I felt empty. My wife and daughter both had pick two's. Again, the portions were small and not particularly filling. My wife commented on the small size of her soup. Daughter said the Mac and Cheese was small and runny. We walked back to our car $40 poorer and still hungry. Could have spent another $20 and went to Red Lobster. ***Another thing that bothered me was they now want you to add a tip to your check. WTF for? You wait on yourself and clear your own table. My wife, (intimidated) knuckled. I wouldn't have. My stops at Panera Bread over the past 2 years lead me to believe that this company is committing corporate suicide. I suspect that's what happens when you put freshly minted MBA's in charge. Like the Panera close to our home in Richland, I noticed the vast majority of customers here were people with their computers out doing paper work. Back in the day Panera was great. Over the years the prices go up and the size of the food gets smaller. Overpriced pastries that are dry. I like the bagels and of course the baguette. Other than that, Panera is more disappointing as time goes on. read more

I love Panera's salads and French onion soup. Yum! However, when it comes to eating at this location, I usually just order online so I don't have to deal with the extremely unprofessional employees. Most of the time, the employees are grumpy, rude, and flat out don't care about the customers or the food. For instance, one time when I visited, the employees were passing around a baby in the food prep area, another girl was throwing things at another employee's backside (totally ignoring me as I tried to order at the register). I've had cold food more than once. A friend of mine had to witness the employees yelling expletives at each other as he ate. It has gotten slightly better recently, so I'm assuming they have new management and/or employees. I was given a few coupons for my poor experience after I called Panera's headquarters. I can F up a good you pick 2, broccoli cheddar soup with Mac and cheese and a chocolate chip bagel on the side! But the management here is not the best. There is one specific manager at this specific location that is rude, inconsiderate, and ruins people's self esteem when trying to get employed at this place of business. Really makes me not wanna give them my business. But beside that, there's 2 incredible line duty workers that really make me smile and make my visit a whole lot better. Great food and service, just like every other Panera. The reason for the 3 stars, is that they need more electric outlets in the dining area! Considering that during the day, a majority of their customers are there to work or have a meeting, the shortage of outlets is unacceptable.
